Had a leak in my system that ended up soaking my carpet in the closet next to it. I messaged Barraza Heating & Air via the Yelp messenger, and they got back to me right away with a diagnostic fee ($75) and appointment for that same morning. I asked for a later appointment, and they were able to accommodate my schedule. Henry was my technician and although he was much later than anticipated, he was very communicative about running late and when he would be there. Instead of only diagnosing the problem and coming back to fix it, Henry went the extra mile and ran to the store to pick up parts to address the problem and the underlying issue with my system, which was a drain clog and repiping the drain system. He was friendly, answered all my questions, explained the issue, and once fixed, demonstrated how the fix resolves the issue. The diagnostic fee was waived since I used their services and the overall cost was much more affordable than I anticipated. Overall a great experience and would definitely reach out to them again if I have any additional issues (hopefully not)! read more

Had a problem with my a/c and Barraza sent a technician out for a service call. The technician was professional, friendly, and didn't try to push extra services onto me. Unfortunately though, he was unable to diagnose the problem despite trying his best and said that he was going to have to come back with more tools to try and figure it out. I was ready to make another appointment but he said that the office would call later that day to do that. Fair enough. However, while they did send the invoice later that day, I was unable to get in contact with anyone and didn't hear back from them. The issue with my a/c was resolved when I called up a competitor two days later, who was able to come out on short notice and fixed the problem. read more

Based on just the customer service experience, 5 stars! I started a project on Yelp thinking I needed ductwork due to a rodent issue, turns out my ducts are metal and my coil just froze over due to a 21 year old (and neglected) system. Had a different company come out and after all the "generous" discounts, was quoted what I thought was an amazing deal. Don't get me wrong, the other company was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and even added some refrigerant to my AC to keep us cool for a week until we decided on who to go with... I go back to the Yelp app with my project and asked this company for a comp... just for my own due diligence and peace of mind... and Samual (at least that was the name Yelp provided) said the same scope of the project (talking like 30 line items /w same system), the price was basically the same! Except Barraza didn't try to sell it like I was getting a great deal with tons of discounts. I had another company out for a check up on my AC earlier in the week and got a quote that seemed completely out of line along with a hard pitch about possible system failure. I had an HVAC installed recently. This company showed up on time and the guys were super nice, clean, and willing to answer any questions throughout the installation. They even installed new smoke alarms and a carbon detector along with a thermostat that can be controlled by an app. The owner, Samuel stayed until the unit fully worked. It took until 8 p.m. that night and I was grateful since it was a cold night. My son had an HVAC installed by another company (red trucks) and it took two days. My recent experience with Barraza Heating and Air was outstanding on every level. The 17-year-old HVAC system in our home failed at the onset of a lengthy projected stretch of triple digit heat in Sacramento (which is ongoing as a write this). The timing literally could not have been worse. Based on positive customer reviews and the indication on their website that they provide emergency services, I contacted Barraza for fast help. The company owner, Sam, came out the next day and determined that our system was essentially toast. The repair costs would be high and unwise to expend on such an old system. At my request, Sam ran over replacement options with me based on my budget and within just a few days installed a brand-new and excellent system.
