We purchased our first home a few months ago. At first, everything was okay, but then, we found rats in our garage. We contacted Attic Solutions and scheduled an appointment same day! I got five quotes for the rat problem I had in my crawl space -- some highly rates businesses didn't even look under the house before providing an estimate! These guys looked around thoroughly, went over what they would do, why they felt that the other solutions were overkill, and addressed my concerns about what they were proposing. One of the things that impressed me the most was that they had plenty of chances to upsell me, but they didn't. During the assessment, I'd ask "Should we do this too? I'm willing to pay for it..." and they would let me know that they'd be happy to do it, but they didn't feel it was necessary -- then give the reasons why. They also were the only ones to propose some innovative and practical ways to ensure that the problem doesn't return. The work crew showed up and got the job done in a couple of days -- they were professional, personable and effective. The bill was exactly what we agreed to -- they even offered some discounts because I was flexible with regards to the dates they worked, plus they did things for free as they came up along the way. They've given me no reason that they will disappear now that the work is done. In fact, I've been in contact several times with the owners since the crew was here and I get prompt, courteous responses -- in fact, someone is coming by today to do a final check at my request. Apparently it was just one rat creating all that havoc. Joshua's team eliminated that rat in five days start to finish, and we got our house back, which is to say, we got our life back. On one day's notice--and that day was Sunday--Joshua sent out a team of four workers to find and seal access points, clean and disinfect crawl space and garret, and set traps. (Joshua himself had already checked out the premises and given us an estimate.) The team spent about an hour and a half, took photos of the work done in the crawl space, shifted stored items around in the garret in order to access all the floor space, and disappeared a pile of fouled and shredded T-shirts in the adjoining closet. I am in awe of those guys. I mean, it comes with the territory, but they had to work in cramped and unpleasant spaces, and they did a great job. One reservation: after sealing off the garret / closet space from access to the crawl space, the team set traps only in the crawl space. The foreman refused to set traps in the garret because that was "living space" and it was unsafe to have traps there. Well, that would have been fine if the living space had been rodent-free at that point. But when I saw the rat come running out of the closet at about 10:00 that night, I kinda lost it. So I called Joshua, he picked up right away and came out first thing in the morning to set traps in the garret. That's the big thing: Joshua has been completely responsive and supportive throughout our ordeal and its aftermath. The work comes with a one-year guarantee--not that we'll have no more trouble ("You never know," says Joshua), but that he'll take care of it if we do. Like some others I rarely post reviews. But I have to say that I was extremely impressed by Gabriel in the estimating process, and by the team that was here working today. We have a complex, semi-finished basement that we use for wine storage and entertainment and it has been the increasing target of mice, rats and squirrels since we lost our cat late last year. The team did a (frankly) amazing job of accessing the still unfinished areas (no idea how they got in in some cases) and used a clever combination of mesh, foam and concrete to seal entry points we never even imagined existed (our foundation/basement is only 10 years old). They created barriers to the entertaining area and sanitized everything with a bleach mix. They left us with a high level of confidence that re- entry to the living area/entertainment space is next to impossible. This is important to us as we serve food in that area. The team today was also punctual and explained their process well. They collaborated with me well on site. This is a really great company and I highly recommend them based on our experience. I have been meaning to write this review for a while. Last August, Attic Solutions rat-proofed my home and put insulation in my attic. The service was A++ every step of the way. Gabriel arrived early for his appointment, gave me a competitive quote and booked his team. I think is was Rigo who oversaw the rat-proofing and insulation process. They were perfect in every respect. They did a clean and thorough job, discovered where the rat was coming in, filled holes with foam or screen, as appropriate. The rat (or rats) that I had heard in my heating duct and in the sump pump receptacle (in my bedroom!) and running through my bedroom walls were gone within 24 hours after service. In addition, as Gabriel had told me, my PG&E bill dropped dramatically after insulation! Also, the team came and picked up all the traps that they had set w/in a couple of days of my request. I had a major rat infestation in my flat when I lived in S.F. and I know how bad rat-proofing services can be. In that case, I spent thousands on an exterminator who was stellar at setting traps, but never bothered to block their entry! Angel and his helper, sorry I can't remember his name, but they did an excellent job here adding insulation and rodent proofing my attic! Made sure they put paper down inside on the floor and carpet to walk on which was great! And I asked if they saw the attic fan working because I wasn't sure and they said yes but the thermostat was set pretty high so I asked to turn it to a lower setting and they did that for me too!
