We had a bad smell coming out of one of our vents and we couldn't figure out where it was coming from when we checked. I needed to call professionals and David and his team were quick to do the initial review and estimate of the issue. They showed up on time, went into the crawl space, took photos, and had a quick discussion about some recommended options. From there we got the quotes, signed off on the option we wanted, and they came and fixed everything up the next work day. I sent out a request for service on Friday, they came Saturday, got a contract on Saturday, and the work was completed on Monday. The team was really professional and easy to work with. We ended up needing to replace insulation, get the area sanitized, sealed up to prevent future critters from moving in, and also opted to replace the HVAC ducts since rats had chewed through some of that as well. We discovered a water leak in our home's crawl space about a month and a half ago. Due to the water damage, we had to go through crawl space water damage cleaning, plumbing repair with pipe replacement, duct replacement, and rodent prevention work. I worked with someone to schedule an appointment for the next day. 30 minutes before the appointment, they called and said they probably won't be able to warranty the service they said they could. Then they said they couldn't make the original appointment time. We had some rats in our attic late last year. The insulation was pretty new; we had replaced it in 2019 and had it rodent proofed but a couple of rats had made their way back in. Had a rodent problem and initially used a pest control company to diagnose and set traps. The pest control technician reported to us that the attic had lots of accumulated mice feces (yeech) and likely gaps under the insulation - he suggested that we needed to hire an "attic restoration company" What's that, I thought. Had never heard of this service. But when I did a YELP search I found dozens of companies that did this. Called three of them and two came out quickly to provide quotes (the third company never responded...) Both quotes were very similar in price. It seems the quote is largely based on sq footage, and the scope of service is pretty standard. What set apart Attical and David Lozano were three things: communication, willingness to customize, and clarity-detail of quote and services to be performed. Communication - my contact was David and he always responded promptly to my text messages. We traded messages several times as o had to reschedule the date. Willingness to customize - I had a plywood landing area in my attic. Just about 100 sq ft. The other company said I could buy the plywood and they would bring it up to the attic, but then I needed to screw down the boards. Huh? Attical said they would go to HD and buy the wood and install. I just had to pay for the material. Makes much more sense! Detailed quote - Attical provided a step by step list of what they planned to do, and since I had no experience with this service before asked each company to explain before I made a decision.
