I was extremely satisfied with Luis's handling of our rodent problem. He was the second quote I received and my, what a contrast. The first company was very quick to answer my yelp inquiry. But they did not set foot in the attic during their inspection. They climbed the ladder, took a look around, and climbed back down. Yet from this they were able to determine that 100% of our insulation needed to be replaced, among other things, totally close to 20k! What?! In contrast, Luis donned a full hazmat suit, went into the attic, and provided detailed photos of each specific area that needed to be addressed. He said our insulation was perfect, btw. He went around our entire property, checking for all entry points. Went under the house and did the same. Gave me an extremely competitive quote, which I accepted, and he had a team out the same day. At the end, he provided me all the before and after pictures so that I felt assured that the work had been done well. The following week he came out as promised and removed on rodent from a trap. The rest were still clean. Today he called again to see if he could come check the traps once more and I told him that next week would be better. He is responsive, reliable, and courteous, and I highly recommend Rodent Blocking to take care of your rodent issues. read more

Luis did an excellent job rodent-proofing my home. I recently moved into the neighborhood and neighbors warned me that rodent issues were common, so I wanted the job done right. Luis performed a very thorough inspection from the attic to the crawl space and even checked the roof. He found droppings on the roof, several tampered entry points, and gaps under my sidings, then carefully sealed every opening, including underneath the siding. Out of all the bids I received, his proposal and services clearly stood out for their detail and value. He explained his whole process to me so I felt educated about how rodent proofing works, not just "sold" a service. What really impressed me was his follow-up: he came back after a week to check for any new rodent activity and is returning again in about a month to confirm everything is still sealed. Luis is incredible: reliable, honest, and keeps his promises. I absolutely hated my experience with Terminix (do not waste your money, they don't do anything) and thought to reach out to see my options and Luis' offer was too good to be true: A one time payment to cover up all the tiny holes + he will come back if things don't improve?! They were so quick to respond and came on the same day. After a quick inspection, they were ready to get to work and cleaned up and sanitized my outdoor kitchen cabinets that had rodent infestation. They also inspected and sealed every possible entry point to the house. Now I have a peace of mind and 1 year warranty in case anything happens. Luis arrived quickly and identified where we had mouse activity in our garage. He found evidence of mouse droppings and found where rodents could enter into our walls and patched them up and disinfected the area. He also inspected our roof and found more gaps where there could be potential future infestations and patched those gaps up with concrete and wire mesh. Luis was quick to respond and gave quotes for several options for fixing the current problem and prevention. I had a pest dig into my crawl space through a hole. He patched up the holes and also replaced some of the crawlspace vents. The prevention was to also patch some entry points in the roof. Luis is very informational and he showed up promptly on the scheduled time, conducted proper inspection of all the corners and details to track the entry points and the droppings. He then cleaned up the rodent droppings and clippings. Sanitized and sprayed repellent. The traps he setup caught the rodents two nights in a row. He showed up the very next morning to dispose them off cleanly. Luis did a a great job in terms of managing the problem and understanding my needs. Luis did an excellent job to solve the Rat problem that was ongoing in our house (inside and at the attic and crawl space). Out of 5 people whom I got the inspection scheduled, Luis is the one who spent considerable amount of time in the attic, crawl space , roof and perimeter of the house. He captured all the entry points with the pictures and explained to me with the way he is going to fix them. To top it off his quote was the lowest of all the folks whom I got the quote. The job was performed to the satisfaction and he shared the before and after pictures very clearly for all the work he has performed. He visited multiple times post work and so far there is no rat problem. His services comes with 1 year default warranty and for a little bit extra I got one more additional year warranty ( I had a bad experience with prior company who did the work almost an year back). Owners be aware Luis and Team did not respond or completed the work done for me in Oakland at a rental property. I did contact the board for pest control and is now under review in California most contractors by law are required to work under branch 2 and branch 3. He doesn't speak any English as well. We had a rat getting into our house and leaving traces over the counter and in the rooms for 2 consecutive days . Luis and his crew responded to our request promptly on a Sunday, sealed entry around the house and on the roof, and set traps in the house and in crawl space. We were able to swiftly catch a rat on the second day and he came to deal with it within 30 mins of my initial reach. Very professional and responsive. I discovered the problem (a rat in the kitchen!) late on Friday. Luis came out as soon as Saturday morning. He did a thorough inspection and worked diligently almost the rest of Saturday to take care of any holes or cracks where rodents may re-enter the house and garage. This included Luis going up onto the roof to put wire mesh over pipe openings, crawling through the crawl space under the house, and inspecting the attic. I was actually surprised to see that their response rate is listed at 70%, because Luis (I believe he's the owner) was one of the first people to message me back. These guys are the real deal. As others have mentioned, Luis is a pro and did a full inspection that covered roof, attic, outside perimeter, and crawl space. He took photos to let me know of all the potential entry points the rodents were entering our attic from.
