Our only concern is that the prime rib is on a trial basis for now. We can only encourage others to support it and hope that this will become a permanent option and obviate the need for us to go into SF for our prime rib hit (we live in Santa Rosa)! It was built in 1910…read more While the house itself has been beautifully preserved, it's mainly an events venue&office space. Don't expect to see anything about life back in 1910 Sonoma. When you drop in, it feels awkwardly like walking into someone's private home. People use it for events- and that makes sense. It's an events space rather than a historic one. The people are friendly. It's historic, but not impressive. The Pinot noirs there are really wonderful- if you do the tasting, you will get to try a few different ones to compare.. I won't say my favorite but you should try them all and see what you think! Oh and also, the grounds are beautifully well kept- look at the gorgeous flowers at the front as you walk in!

We picked this venue because she allowed us to express our vision and have our own food which was a HUGE plus because of our personal family tradition that she respected! I truly can't recommend this venue enough it is a beautiful venue and truly brought my vision for our wedding to life. The palm trees were a beautiful touch that made it feel like home. What sold me was the beautiful white roses that lined the aisle. It was something I dreamed about and to find a venue that already had it was amazing! Standouts were the Chardonnay, Zinfandel and a surprising Barbera. We were served by a phenomenal Sandee. Her knowledge of the winery and grounds, while deep and impressive, were second to her ability to talk wine. The wine selection was more diverse than most places but I have to admit, most all of our tasting was a hit out of the park. Very drinkable wines, very smooth in a location piping through old classics on the sound system creating a great vibe amongst the tables and vines. Service was top notch. Everyone was so kind, welcoming and interested in sharing the history of their wine (and wine history too)! Will definitely keep them as a must visit on the next visit.
