    Wedding day beauty at Beaulieu.
    Ashley F.

Beaulieu Garden was the perfect setting for our fairy tale wedding. It is the most beautiful site we visited on our search for a venue, complete with beautifully manicured gardens, a vineyard, pools, fountains and breathtaking views. Magical is how we, and our guests, described this venue. The beauty does come with the cost of a long list of rules (most notably, the music must be played very softly and a strict 10pm curfew), but overall, the pros of this gorgeous place certainly won out. We suggest an after party up the road in the barrel room at Merryvale Vineyard. Paula Le Duc is the exclusive caterer here. They are the pinnacle of fine catering so you're in good hands with them.

Walking into the Rancho Caymus lobby I already felt like I was headed into a great stay. The mood…read morewas warm and inviting and it smelled so good (so good in fact I asked what scent they used to diffuse and immediately purchased perfume ... Santal 33). The lovely host took me on quick tour and had someone help me with my bags upstairs. You would be surprised how rarely that happened on our trip through Napa. The room was gorgeous. I owned my own cleaning business for 10 years and the level of cleanliness was unparalleled. The carpet was thick and the bed sheets did not have that bleach rough texture you often find in any hotel these days. The courtyard offered a pool and an amazing hot tub surrounded by lounge areas and fire pits. We spent the evening in the hot tub looking at stars and full moon, drinking some wine we picked up along the way. No glass allowed in pool area but they provided plastic wine glasses. The breakfast was sit down style and you selected a few options as part of the package. You could add on for a fee. The English muffin is to die for and domes from local bakery. We stopped at Oakville Grocery on our way and had a nice little charcuterie in our room to snack on. Highly recommend as a stop for treats it's only 6 minutes away. We walked to dinner at Rutherfords Grill that's just across parking lot. You can easily go to the winery near by as well. Overall we were just two girls having a great road trip but I'd recommend this for honeymoon as or romantic getaway as well. Perfect!!

This was a nice, interesting hotel. Dark brown wood interiors, nice linens, nice bathrooms,…read morerepurposed wood in the doors. For an engineer like me, it was eye candy galore! Conveniently placed between Beau Lieu and a few other wineries in easy walking distance as well. Note: The front door is a Push to open. Walking into the lobby, they have cool water on a sideboard. The pool area has a nicely sized hot tub, and is kept clean and maintained. The room was very spacious, and included a bottle of wine from a local vineyard - that might be because of who we made the reservation with. We had a room which was on the Beau Lieu vineyard side, and they start pretty early in the morning. If you are a wine production geek, you might like this room when they go into harvest and production, since you can sit on the balcony and watch some of the goings on, or hear the bottling and grape presses running. I really liked the bed, it was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and the walk in shower maintained water temperature nicely.

I've been a member of BV for more than 10 years... I've never written a review, although I've been…read moretasting over the years and I love their wine as well as my BV collection! I called and asked in advance for a member tasting without the history story I had heard it one too many times!! The wine Club manager set us up in a nice room for our party of five at 3:30 PM. Chris was our host. He did a great job of telling new details of the historical story of BV... although I wanted to discuss the wine more than hear the history. Chris was informative, passionate, and knowledgeable. I would ask for him as a host again! However, he a attend your wine Club member. I really don't want to hear the story one more time! This is a beautiful winery and their new tasting room will open soon... I'm very excited to see how it is. I suggest if you make an appointment for tasting here that you make it earlier than 3:30 since the wine Club manager pretty much came in and told us it was time to go because they were closing at 5. We did not have any additional tastings other than what was on the menu and we did not try to take up any extra time, but we were picking up our wine shipment, which was being put together and not altered ... again, not taking up any more than the scheduled . After having been a member of multiple wineries in Napa, this was the first time I've ever experienced someone rushing us out... which did not leave a good taste in our mouth figuratively, not literally, because the wine was awesome as usual!!

As members we are so disappointed in the winery. This is the third time we've tried to visit but…read moreeach time the tasting room has been closed early. I do not understand why it says closes at 5 but the last tasting is 3:30p and after that is only bottle purchase. We've called each time to make a reservation and have had to leave a message, only to not get a call back until the end of the day. Sadly, we will be cancelling our membership, as the inability to use our benefits has been much harder than any other wine membership we have.

We were a tipsy party of four on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Having just left a wine tasting,…read morewe were famished and in need of substance. One of the guests in our party raved about the fried chicken here, so we opted for seats at the bar to order ala carte. We had the French onion dip and chips for appetizers, and it was absolutely divine. The dip was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, while the chips were exceptionally crisp without being greasy. It was one of those appetizers that disappeared from the table almost immediately. Of course, the star of the meal was the fried chicken. The coating was wonderfully crispy, and the meat inside was tender and juicy. Personally, I found the seasoning a touch mild, but a few dashes of hot sauce brought everything together beautifully. For context, my benchmark for fried chicken is Willie Mae's in New Orleans, which is high praise in itself. What really elevated the experience was the atmosphere and service. The bartenders were incredibly friendly, energetic, and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. Their enthusiasm added to the fun, relaxed vibe of the afternoon. Between the delicious food, warm hospitality, and perfect post-wine-tasting setting, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. This was the ideal casual Napa stop, and I would happily return on my next visit.

We visited Addendum on a Friday of a long holiday weekend during peak lunch hours. As expected,…read morethere was a huge crowd and a long, slow-moving line. The ordering process is simple--you place your order at one window, pick it up from another, and wait for your name to be called. When we reached the counter, the staff was fine, and we ordered the Three-Piece Fried Chicken, Shrimp Po' Boy, and a side of Coleslaw. We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. The waiting experience, however, was extremely frustrating. There is some outdoor seating, but I wish it were reserved for customers only. Many people were using the tables for their own picnics, leaving paying customers with nowhere to sit. A few more umbrellas would also make a huge difference, especially when you're waiting outside for 40+ minutes in the sun. Since we were hungry, we walked over to Burgers & Half Bottles, ordered lunch there, finished eating, and returned to Addendum. By then, about 45 minutes had passed, yet our order still wasn't ready. Around us, many other customers who had ordered at the same time were also still waiting. The pickup area became complete chaos. People crowded around the pickup window because there was no clear system or communication. Even the manager from the main restaurant came over to help, but the process never really improved. Several customers around us ended up cancelling their orders out of frustration. We finally received our food after **1 hour and 5 minutes**, and only because we stood right by the pickup window the entire time to make sure our name wasn't missed. Judging by the conversations around us, we weren't the only ones disappointed by the experience. As for the food, the **Three-Piece Fried Chicken** was definitely the highlight and the reason the restaurant is so well known. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. It came with macaroni salad and cornbread, both of which were decent but nothing memorable. The **Shrimp Po' Boy** was underwhelming. The shrimp had a noticeable seafood smell, lacked seasoning, and tasted quite bland. The **coleslaw** was the biggest disappointment--it was overwhelmingly sour, almost like eating straight vinegar, and we ended up throwing it away. Overall, while the fried chicken was excellent, I'm not sure it's worth waiting over an hour in an unorganized system, especially with the limited seating and lack of communication. There are definitely improvements that could make the experience match the reputation.
