    Eggs mimosa

We made a reservation which I think is a good plan if you intend to dine here. I had heard rave reviews of Au Bourguignon, namely for their signature beef bourguignon and decided to try it out. The staff were all lovely! Super helpful, friendly, and kind. In fact, a woman at the table next to us who was diabetic had a diabetic episode and basically fainted at the table and the staff was very quick to react. We started with the onion soup and eggs mimosa with white summer truffle. The eggs were absolutely divine. The soup was good but not up to my standards which are really high. I make exceptionally great French onion soup at home and thought this one was a bit bland in comparison. We split an order of the beef bourguignon, which I think was smart since we also had appetizers and it was a large serving. The beef was fantastic! It truly lived up to my expectations and I can see why this restaurant is so highly regarded in Paris as a spot to get great beef bourguignon. If that's on your wish list for Paris dining, then this is a great spot to sample this cozy dish. All in all, I would happily recommend Au Bourguignon du Marais!

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Just as the name goes, this place has good beef bourguignon, not the best one I had but came close. The juice was less thinker and portion could be better. Also ordered duck confit and it tasted also great but it was a bit expensive for what I got. Server was very nice and attentive. Overall experience was great and I would definitely come back.

I found this little cozy restaurant when I was in Paris. It is clean and well maintained. I ordered their main courses- Beef Bourguignon and Confit Duck leg. For dessert I ordered - Vanilla of bourbon Crème Brûlée. Everything that I ordered were delicious! Beef chunks were tender with good tangy flavor from stew and bacon. Duck confit was so so good! It had great seasoning with au jus and pan fried potatoes. Loved this one; my favorite. The staff speaks English well and they kept refilling our water bottle. Met with their manager and she was the one assigned table for us even though we did not have any reservations that night for dinner. She was really nice with smiles and everyone was welcoming there. I was so glad to try this restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant in Paris!

Amazing meal! Perfect for a treat with super rich but flavorful Beef Bourguignon which is a house specialty. The beef was soso tender while the broth so umami. We also loved their unique Duck dish in curry sauce. The Escargots were very buttery and herb, delicious with their bread, while the Melon Gazpacho was very refreshing. Profiteroles for dessert were perfect as well. We really had a wonderful time dining here and definitely reccommend.

We ordered three things, the snails, their famous beef bourguignon, and for dessert, the profiteroles with vanilla ice cream. The snails were soft, buttery, and kinda fun to eat. Not bad at all for my first time trying them. The beef bourguignon though... that was deep. Rich flavor, The meat was tender, almost melting into the sauce. I kinda wished for one more bite when it was over. Then came the dessert... the profiteroles. That one stole the night. Cold vanilla ice cream stuffed inside light pastry, sitting in a puddle of warm fudge. And the tiny almond bits on top? That little crunch made it perfect. Service was friendly without being pushy, and the place just felt cozy, very Paris-y in the best way. Would definitely go back just for that dessert.

Came here to try their specialty, boeuf bourguignon. And it was delicious! Sat outside on the lovely patio, very Parisian style. We made reservations, but I think if you come early enough for dinner, you might be OK, as the locals tend to eat dinner later at 8pm. The service was really good. My friend spoke French in ordered that way, and I spoke English and ordered with English. If you're visiting France, I think you need to try at least five of the core dishes, which includes their specialty here! The dish isn't too expensive (little splurge) but you can always just pair it with an inexpensive wine. Also nice that they were open in August, when many places will close. Don't forget, 'bonsoir' after 6pm.

There was plenty of table to even I stopped by kind of late for lunch. The service was good! A bit hot while you're sitting outside but it's fun to watch people. I mainly picked the items that are recommended by the reviews. While it was good, I do think it's a little pricey. The duck was the highlight of the meal.

In Marais area, more touristy due to the location but good stop for eat and drink if you need a break from shopping in the afternoon. Friendly, no wifi, stop by for the Sweetbread and Mushroom puff pastry - it was slightly on the lukewarm side so it was little disappointing unfortunately.

Came here for dinner after a long exhausting day exploring the beautiful city of Paris! We were one of the last few to enter the restaurant while they were in closing mode (at 8:45). You'd be fine with walk-in on weekdays. Our servers quickly got our order which included Tiramisu with Smoked Trout and Avocado (tasty!), a very flavorful Beef Bourguignon, and Lamb Shank! Food was overall really tasty and service was quick. Food arrived within 25-mins of ordering. Noise levels were on the lower end.

We had a reservation and was seated outside as soon as we arrived. The service and food were excellent. The specialty of the house is Beef Bourguignon. Truly the most tender beef I have had and full of flavor. It's a must try!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Paris! Their French onion soup in my opinion is the best in Paris! Great service and ambience!! Their steak and fries are amazing! I had the filet of beef!

One of the best spots to eat inbthe Marais. Friendly service, fun vibe, and outstanding food with a focus on the classic cuisine of Burgundy. The onion soup ia remarkable a d perfectly executed: from its rich and flavorful broth, to the perfect balance if melted comte/gruyere cheese. Their bread is always fresh and the perfect mop to sop up what cannot be spooned out. The beef Bourguigon is incredible comfortable food, again so rich the melting meet is perfectly blended with the hearty wine. A must go spot.

This place came recommended from a friend and for good reason. They speak English but don't treat you poorly if you do. But beyond this cute bistro was the food. The beef bourguignoin was outrageously good. I'm not sure I can have another somewhere else. Perfection. But then the profiteroles were actually even better with chocolate sauce and plenty of ice cream. Beware: this version comes with almonds. Service was efficient and we would towlly recommend.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.
