*they speak English* Came last night for dinner service. We came at 7:16 ona. Wednesday evening and it wasn't too busy yet. Most tables were filled but we could get a seat without a wait. We came with a baby in a stroller and they were very accommodating. The ambiance is very nice. Lots of patio chairs on a quieter street. Our waitress was amazing. She was so nice and clearly very busy but would help us with anything we needed. She spoke very good English so I didn't have to struggle with my very basic French. The food was fantastic. For our last night in Paris I couldn't ask for more. We started with escargot and onion soup. The French onion soup was the best one that I had on the trip. The escargot was delicious and my wife wanted to take shots of the sauce. For our mains my wife got the beef bourginoun (which is their specialty) and I got the beef tartar. Our last day in Paris and we wanted some legit beef bourguignon. In my Yelp search, I saw a picture of an iron pot with beef (boef) bourguignon on the Au Bourguignon du Marais and that was it! We easily made a reservation and began our last sojourn through Paris. A few hours later, we ended up at the restaurant two hours early. The shop was not busy and the staff welcomed us in and seated at a wonderfully comfortable table- you can't say that about every Parisian cafe. We ordered beef bourguignon and our son had a cheeseburger. The restaurant itself was very light and comfortable. The beef bourguignon was amazing! The stew was succulent with beef falling apart with juicy goodness and the vegetables were as well. We ate every bite and had bread for the broth- best meal in Paris! My son was not thrilled with the cheeseburger. I had a taste and it was very good but had onions which is a dealbreaker. We tried desserts with less success. My wife had raspberry sorbet on a coconut cake base with hard marangue; it was too bitter but it was fresh. I had the apricot with pistachio cream and it was very good. My son had mango sorbet and loved it. All in all it was very good. They even charged us very little for cokes (5 euro) which was a very pleasant surprise (we have found that hiking up drink prices is a way to fleece customers). Fabulous beef bourgeon and the Chablis was perfect! Our server was so kind and sweet. Our 4th time here and can't wait to come back again.

Wow... And admittedly I'm a tourist, I'm in France, of course if I like a French staple I'm gonna hunt it down. And it didn't disappoint. Huge chunks of beef, smothered in sauce, veggies and mushrooms that satisfied the craving and met expectations of a luxurious indulgent stew. Personally I'd pass on the escargot... good, not what they are known for... and TBH not really in season early March. The desserts, they were fine, nothing to dazzle but nothing to complain about... we just kept thinking of the bourguignon... Service excellent customer in my experience. Can get a bit crowded, but I personally think it's part of the charm. There's of course other fine entrees we saw pass by such as seared scallops that looked divine, but I'd say stick with the staple. read more

They earned the reputation of authentic bourguignon using burgundy and wide selections of burgundy wines. The restaurant walls are retractable for Al fresco dining during summer. It's an ideal Parisian dining experience to see the world pass by while enjoying your dinner. We started with a bottle of French red wine together with 6 large burgundy snails and duck foie gras with toasts, served with organic fig Jam to share. Both dishes are delicious and perfect for sharing. Since it was our first dinner in Paris we decided to have a light dinner and shared their famous specialty of beef bourguignon with baby potatoes, bacon bits, and mushrooms. whenever we're in paris, we're always on the hunt for amazing boeuf bourguignon and this place did not disappoint. we made reservations easily online from the US and took one on the earlier side (7pm). the restaurant is larger than it looks from the outside and from what the pictures implied; perhaps they had taken over a neighboring restaurant recently? all the food we had here was excellent. onion soup had a beautiful bruleed layer of cheese and was perfectly seasoned. the escargots were garlicky and buttery and delicious, the little cups of liquid are perfect for dipping bread. the burrata and tomato salad was so fresh! the star of the night was obvi the BB, which 1 was enough for my husband and i to share, esp with all the small plates we started with. lots of potatoes in the stew, and again bread was key here to sop up all that deliciousness. we topped off the dinner with vanilla creme brulee, which had a gossimer thin crackling sugar topping, and the perfect amount of vanilla in the custard. english was not a problem, they had an english menu and we had no issues communicating with the staff. highly recommend! read more

Delicious food and attentive service! Despite forgetting to make a reservation, my family and I got seated immediately (probably because it was only 6:45 ish). We ordered the escargots, boeuf bourguignon, poke bowl, and tartare. Every dish was full of flavor and plated artistically. The snails were already out of their shells and fully absorbed the parsley and garlic sauce. The bourguignon lived up to the restaurant's name with beef brisket that melts in your mouth and whole baby potatoes with crispy skins. Before we even thought to ask for water refills or bread, the waiter had already brought it. Our water glasses never even reached the halfway mark! We had a wonderful lunch in this restaurant. I ordered foie gras and boeuf bourguignon, both of which tasted great. On the other hand, the squid with garlic butter was so tender and delicious. The duck confit was flavorful. Our server was so professional, polite and friendly. The Hautes Cotes De Nuits (red wine) he suggested to pair with the boeuf bourguignon was perfect!! The restaurant is clean. The restroom, which isn't available In many establishments, is a plus for me. I would recommend this to everyone. read more

Wow we had a great time last night. 6 snails, Foie Gras & beef Bourgogne. All were excellent. I had tea & my husband v had champagne then red wine with the beef. This restaurant is situated in Marais and on a pretty quiet street. The service was kind and they spoke English and had English menus. First got their escargot and they took it out of the shell for you and douzed the snails in pesto olive oil, which I then used to dip all of my bread in, which was super delicious. Then, I had their beef bourguignon (their signature dish) and it is their signature dish for a very good reason. The beef was very tender and the broth had a nice hint of Burgundy wine! I would rate the boef bourguignon and the service four stars, but the food was too inconsistent for four stars overall. The restaurant's namesake dish is the reason to go there. It is richly flavored and the beef was delightfully tender. We ordered the vegetarian plate as well excited by risotto with ratatouille as a side, but neither were very good. The ratatouille was just some sautéed vegetables with very little flavor. The bread was stale, which was ok for mopping up broth from the stew, but it was disappointing to have stale bread at a French restaurant (however, this has been a common occurrence for us across three different highly rated French restaurants we've eaten at this week). The kids both ordered burgers and loved them, but complained about the French fries being soggy. We had profiteroles for dessert and those were good. read more

We got reservations for 9:30, place gets busy. Very nice ambience with big open Windows that let you enjoy the outside view. All of the staff incredibly friendly, we felt very welcomed. This was my first time ever eating Beef Bourguignon, which I shared with my brother. The meat fell apart as my fork aptly attempted to cut. No need for a knife. We made a 6pm reservation but there were plenty of empty tables (both inside and outside). From reading other Yelpers' reviews, we ordered the beef bourguignon and it was as good as everyone says! The beef was fork tender and the broth was extremely flavorful. Best part of the meal was soaking the bread in this broth! We also ordered the salad and it was fresh and a great counterbalance to the beef bourguignon. The staff speaks English so don't worry if you don't speak French. The food was good. We ordered the beef stew and the stew sauce was good. But the beef was a little tough. We also ordered the duck, it was alright. If you are from an Asian country or you eat duck in Asian restaurants, then this duck is not what you are expecting. The duck is cooked and prepared like beef. Service was excellent. They seated us without a reservation. My only complaint was that they did not have a high chair for our baby, otherwise I would give this a 5 star. There is only one high chair for the entire restaurant. The ambieance was nice. However our waiter went outside to smoke a cigaret and when he came back, he came straight to our table to bring more water without washing his hands. read more

By and far one of our favorite highlights of our Paris trip! The escargot was so juicy, the garlic butter was the perfect blend- and so satisfying. The french onion soup had the perfect consistency and was beautifully unctuous - the line between well cooked and burnt is blurry but not here. The bouef bourguignon is no doubt the star of the show - it can absolutely be shared with two people but life is too short. Ask for all the bread you can get and come HUNGRY!
