Decided to stop by and give their smoothies a try. It was 8pm and there was no line, yay! They did stay pretty busy though as people walked in all the way up to their closing time. (9pm) The cashier quickly greeted us, took our order, and she was very friendly. We were handed a number and told the smoothies were going to be dropped off at our table when ready. We ordered one pumpkin pie smoothie (pumpkin, banana, almonds, cashews, dates, cinnamon, granola, vanilla) $10.95 and one strawberry glow (cashew milk, sea moss, vanilla collage, avocado, banana, dates, strawberries, coconut whipcream, strawberry sauce) $12.95. Total = $30 with tip. We waited about 10 minutes or so and another worker dropped off our smoothies. She gave us straws and spoons. We quickly gave our smoothies a mix and we took our sips. Both smoothies were warm. Not sure if they sat for a few minutes after they were made or they did not put enough ice in them but they definitely would've tasted 10000x better cold. After a few sips, they were warmer then warm and I could no longer drink mine. Flavorwise though, they were both yummy. My pumpkin pie smoothie tasted really good and was very filling. They drew a cute ghost on my cup which made me giggle. I've seen a few videos on social media that compares the strawberry glow to the Erewhon smoothie and it is far from it as they taste nothing alike... This one here though is still pretty good. Overall, the inside is cute, clean, and the music they were playing was on fire. Will be back eventually to try out the food as it smelled good inside. read more

This just opened and the menu has everything I love. I decided to stop in. You order at a counter then they bring the food to you. The guy taking the orders was not helpful when I asked a few questions. It was 11:30, so the crowd was building. I got the last seat inside, and I counted 41 people in line waiting to order when I sat down. Do not be in a hurry. I think they need more than one register. My "spicy" chicken curry arrived after 5-10 min. It was not spicy. It was good and pretty. It was only lukewarm, and I like my food hot. The veggies were good but over cooked and mushy- but ok. They only have flavored tea and a few juices for fountain drinks. I had water because I don't like flavored tea nor mint or tons of sugar. The place is clean and bright. After placing order we were given a number and we sat down. Plenty of choices to sit down they do have outdoor seating as well. Food arrived quickly. The appetizer platter was enough for two people. Gluten free eater. This exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is really laid back. The outdoor seating is in the sun but had good sunshades and misters. The service is as quick. We ordered our food and had it within 5 minutes. The menu is extensive. A lot to choose from. But buyer beware it is expensive. We spent 52 on two meals a side and drinks. I got the curry chicken. Overall the flavors are fantastic. My chicken was a little dry. But the mix of the kale rice veggies were perfect. The curry was a bit sweet with good flavor. The rolls were a bit gooey but gluten free can be that way. I liked them. My husband for the tri tip madeira and he thought it was more filling than he expected. The roasted veggies added another layer of flavor. We got max and cheese on the side. I had to try gf Mac and cheese. It was really good. A very mild cheese but was creamy and the bread crumbs was a good touch. The drink options had variety. But there was no "normal" drink. Not even a soda substitute. I got one of the teas and it was good. My husband got one of the drinks with stevia in it. I am not a fan but he was. Personal preference. Overall we will be back! read more

Aubergine Kitchen is new (ish) to the the phoenix market. I was slow to go and try them for a few reasons. Bare with me as I will get to the food review Reason 1. The website was not easy to identify dietary restrictions. So, I was nervous about what I could or could not eat. Reason 2. $$$. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. Especially for a non-full service location. If I'm paying $18 for a salad it had better be Amazing! Welp, it was! I ordered a steak salad which came with a GF cheese roll. Note-the roll was one of my (non gf) companions favorite items. My salad was filled with fresh and vibrant ingredients like nuts and fruit. I ordered dressing on the side. Again, for 2 reasons: 1. Leftovers. Dressed salads do not keep! In this case, i got 3 portions from my salad 2. Flavor: I actually found the dressing to be too much. I only added a little but felt my steak flavorful enough to not want dressing. My companion, who is not dietary restricted ate the harvest bowl. They demolished every gluten free bite! Well, except for the few they shared with me. The bowl had a grilled chicken. Which, was just that, chicken. Sweet potato, cauliflower, rice and some other leafy items. My companion loved this. I however found the sweet potatoes over cooked and though I love sweet potatoes, I did not love these. And we both agreed the curried cauliflower seemed out of place with the other ingredients. The curry was a flavor that was out of left field and did not complement its veggie friends. Lastly, the GF/df cookie. I was so excited to have a cookie option!!! I did however find this to not be one of the best GF cookies I've had. I am not DF and think this adaptation left MY tastebuds looking for butter . Though it feels like I am giving a poor review, this is quite the contrary. Our meals were loaded with fresh ingredients that some I enjoyed and some I didn't, but were worth the entire $18 spent on a salad. First off the ambiance and vibe of this restaurant was so amazing. They truly got the decor perfect with this location. Now I know Aubergine kitchen is popular in Utah, so having a location in mesa was a great experience. The not so great was the parking lot. Parking was a bit tight especially at lunch time. The place had a consistent line which is great for a new place. The food was superb. I got the egg avocado bowl off the breakfast menu. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. My friend got the hot steak melt! Which she reported was freaking delicious. I got a cucumber mint lemonade and wasn't a fan. Other trays that passed by look so tasty as well! My next try will be a tri-tip bowl. I did get a brownie layer, which is gluten free vegan free. It was a sweet treat to end the meal. Definitely will be going back! This is the type of restaurant where you order when you enter, then find a table and wait for a server to bring your items. The menu is extensive. Both my Lunch Bunch group and my book club went here the same month. We all loved it. I had the tri-tip madeira bowl with rice, brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. It was more than I could eat, so wound up taking half home for another meal. The cucumber mint lemonade is my new favorite drink with the hibiscus raspberry tea a close second. I got the chicken harvest bowl and it came with a cilantro sauce (has a nice kick to it), my friend ordered a steak bowl that also came with the same sauce and my other friend ordered the curry chicken bowl. I also tried their hibiscus tea and their cucumber lemon drink and they both were delicious and refreshing! All the dishes even came with a small cheese bread which was also good! I ate most of my food and left just content! I wish I could have ordered and tried more things but I'll come to come back for it! The ambiance was great! I've been wanting to try Aubergine since it opened due to its many gluten free + vegetarian options and finally tried it tonight. As soon as I walked in, I was really impressed with the space! The space is bright and clean with ample seating. The menu is large with many options for my husband with celiac as well as many vegetarian options for myself. The staff was really kind and helpful. Our food was good-we enjoyed the vitality bowl and I was happy I could replace the chicken with tofu. The tofu was cooked deliciously! However, despite ordering a "spicy" coconut curry, the curry was one of the most mild curries I've had. We'll definitely be back- but will order a different menu item next time. read more

Our group of five each tried a different entree and everyone enjoyed what they got. I'd never heard of this place before but a coworker suggested going for lunch as it's right by where we work. I really liked all the healthy options. There was a wide variety of types of bowls too, Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai etc. I got the Passion Salad and it was delicious! I love passion fruit and I've never seen a salad with passion fruit dressing on a menu before. I also like the little bread they give you. I'm not gluten free but this place is a great option for people who are since almost all of their items are gluten free. I also really liked the ambiance inside and it was nice and clean. I've eaten here several times and really do enjoy the food overall. So many good options that don't leave one feeling slightly ill afterward. The service is always pretty good as well. However, my one-star deduction is for the noise level. Like most modern restaurant spaces, the music is a little too loud and there are no room dividers to buffer the noise between tables. The tables and chairs at the front of the restaurant aren't very comfortable. The patio does seem to take care of these issues, but I haven't yet sat there. Overall, the effect is to look nice but not actually provide a great atmosphere for conversation, which is a bummer because it's a popular lunch spot for friends. read more
