He was completely unaware of what we were looking for and wasted our time. Very disorganized. She eventually came in later, and then the boyfriend was nowhere to be found. We had to catch her up on what car we were interested in. Then they promised us a car arriving in a "few days." Put a deposit down for it. Then they had no record of us holding it (we even had the VIN). We have been waiting weeks, and we get a different answer each time we call. Then I get a text that asks if we're still looking for a car. ?? We have paid a deposit, and we are waiting for it!! They will run you around in circles and I feel they are not honest. Stay away from the service department. I drove about 45 miles with a completely functioning car with only a check-engine light, expecting a routine diagnosis from a dealership that markets itself as the expert. After their inspection, my Audi was returned undriveable and basically scrap. No one warned me that their diagnostic process carried any risks. They have refused to take accountability and responsibility for the way they returned my car and instead presented me with a very expensive estimate. Three weeks later, my car is still there. I have tried to email various folks to get an explanation and potential resolution, and they are all refusing to respond. Meanwhile, I have been left without a car and they have zero sense of urgency. I guess they only care if you are buying a new car. If you're thinking of using their service department, please be aware: you may not get full transparency, and you may not get your car back in the condition you left it. I have been a loyal Audi Charlotte customer for years, having purchased two new Audis and servicing them exclusively here. Six years ago, I even gave them a 5-star review. Unfortunately, this dealership has now lost my business for life. My 2020 Audi Q7 sat immobilized in their service bay for nearly six months due to an engine failure. I purchased platinum warranty coverage through Audi Charlotte, but when the engine failed, I was told I would still owe thousands out-of-pocket -- the exact opposite of what I was promised when I bought the coverage. The service advisor, finance manager, and sales staff I worked with were professional, helpful, and apologetic. They clearly tried to assist me. The real breakdown was at the leadership level. Senior management mishandled this situation from beginning to end. Promises were not kept, options I was told would be prepared were not, and when I finalized discussions at the store, leadership did not even extend the courtesy of a handshake or an apology. Instead, the complete opposite of what should have happened occurred. After endless delays and conflicting information, management's "solution" was to move me into a non-Audi vehicle -- essentially dismissing my brand loyalty entirely. In the end, I paid more than I should have just to end the ordeal and walk away. All senior management had to do was step up, treat me like the valuable customer I was, and stand behind the product and warranty they sold me. This experience did not have to end this way. With the right leadership involvement, Audi Charlotte could have earned my trust and business back. I've taken my Audi in four separate times for the same issue, and it has never been fixed. Each visit ends with the same result: wasted time and no resolution. What makes it worse is that when they ask you to drop off the car, they never have loaners available, which makes it extremely inconvenient--especially when the problem keeps coming back. For a German luxury brand, this level of service and inability to diagnose and fix a recurring issue is pretty disappointing. I expected far better from Audi. read more

This dealership is not professional. We bought a 2025 dealer test drive/loaner Q7 with 8k miles on it and it did not have a rear window wiper blade. Called our sales rep several times either no response. Finally called parts, I return call and then service, finally spoke to a manager who said they would put it on. And oh by the way, they didn't inspect it or change the oil before they sold it to us so we had to pay $300 for that. They ended up charging us for the wiper blade which we are now disputing but again not retuning phone calls. Sales rep was Yehor, very shady. read more

I brought my Q7 in when my service light came on. They called to state I needed a new catalytic converter. Quoted $4300. When I stated I was going to shop around they immediately took $1500 off the price which made me only more suspicious. I brought to Audi Northlake where I purchased the car and they confirmed my suspicions. They said the entire reissue should only be $2600-$2700. When I reported this to the service manager at Audi Charlotte he stated it was because they were not new parts at Audi Northlake. Northlake denied this. Great experience with Audi Charlotte. I started the process of checking out an Audi Q5 on Thursday, June 17. Tyler was so nice & helpful over email & phone. I went to the dealership the next day. Tyler was working with another customer & had Grant assist me. Grant was just as nice & helpful. Went through all the features & accompanied me on a test drive. When we got back to the dealership, we went over numbers. He was patient & understanding with my questions & hesitations. Daniel (I believe his name) in sales was easy to talk to as well. I spoke with Grant & Tyler on Saturday & the following Monday, still trying to work something out. On Tuesday we did. I ended up finalizing the sale with Tyler. Pepe in finance was easy to work with. He was very friendly & explained everything calmly & thoroughly. Overnight I had panicked over the sale. I went in the next day quite frantic & the receptionist was so understanding & sweet. I ending up speaking with the general manager, Jeff. He was very kind & empathetic & worked out a better arrangement for me. Explained that I would gladly place a deposit and do not need any financing - (should be a very simple transaction) Monday evening the 26th I received a response they are working on it; OK fine busy day not a problem. If this is how Audi Charlotte treats customers and you like to spend $145,000 or whatever amount you choose to purchase then you should run on down to the dealership. Absolute disgrace a dealer in this day and age where a large percentage of transaction are handled over the phone and they actually advertise "Express Lane Service" handles a transaction. Never again. We have bought our first and last Audi. Terrible cars, even worse service. The straw that broke the camels back is the 3% fee they charged me to use my credit card today. The service cost was $680 because they charge $230 just to change the oil, and the second taillight we've now replaced due to their defect was almost $400. So I have to pay $21 to use my credit card because you expect us to believe you need that money for your bottom line? I asked the service manager to comp it and he was a total ass. It would have been nice had they let us know they charge you to use a credit card before I got there so I could move the money from one bank to the other that has our debit card. I don't ever EVER leave reviews but I have now had 2 horrible experiences at Audi CLT. I have a hard time writing reviews when the employees helping are nice people, and they are, I have had great experiences with all employees; but the level of over promising and under delivering is absurd. When I bought my Audi last summer, I was at the dealership for over 10 hours... I don't think this is a normal experience when buying a car. I will say I had to deal with an issue that I was NOT made aware of before coming in. This caused a delay and due to the employee not telling me this was needed to be done before I bought the car, I am okay placing some of the blame on them. When I was fixing this issue, I was rushed by the audi employee and got a lot of rude stares and comments. A 10 hour day to buy a car is unacceptable. Lastly, I took my car in for its first service today. I asked how long it would take, they joked and said 5-6 hours. They then confined it would take no longer than 2. Well I have now been sitting here 4 hours later and $500 dollars less in my pocket. Will be taking my audi elsewhere for any and all issues. I talked with Bill Atkins, Service Advisor, who also told me about 3 outstanding recall issues and said they could take care of them. Waiting for Auto Service isn't on of my list of favorite things to do but Bill and his team made me very comfortable. They have a Starbucks machine that brew fresh coffee, they have free sodas and fresh water, A nice TV & comfortable chairs. They even washed my ride! read more

First off, Jay and Kevin get 10% raises today. Here's why: My wife and I were traveling from Atlanta to Maryland for a long, long-awaited vacation. I had the car checked out with an oil change right before the trip. The boneheads in Atlanta over-filled the engine with oil. The oil sensor in our 2015 SQ5 did not like it. We got a false oil-low readings at around 200 miles out of Atlanta. We called our mechanic in Atlanta, who was useless. Not knowing what to make of the warning indicator, we Googled Audi Dealerships Near Us and found Audi Charlotte Jay in the Service Department understood our urgency. So even though it was a busy Thursday morning, he got us in to see Kevin, an Audi Charlotte technician. Kevin quickly diagnosed the over-fill problem, drained 1 1/2 quarts from the engine and was done amazingly fast. Kevin then explained what happens with over-filled oil pans and why the oil sensor acts the way it did. We were on our way in less than an hour. Our vacation was saved! Have you ever begged a dealership to let you pay for something? I know I never had before this day. We were so happy, but Jay and Kevin would not take a dime and wished us well on our vacation. Audi Charlotte Oil Change= $294.48 (out of door price) Audi North Lake Oil Change= $194.66 (out of door price) RIP OFF!!!!! I could write a novel on why to avoid this location for service. They have caused me SO many headaches, causing issues with my car that did not exist, poor customer service, rude staff, they sprayed something in my ac vents once and made my car smell HORRIBLE and it left a white stained residue all over the vents that wouldn't come off. I complained and had to make an appointment to take it back. I was told it should take a few hours. They kept my car for 2 weeks trying to fix it without providing me with a loaner vehicle or updates. I had to rent a car. Can't make this stuff up. I started to go to Audi Northlake instead and they are amazing, but a little bit of a drive. Today I needed an oil change so I thought that's pretty straight forward i'll just go to the Charlotte location, what could go wrong? I hand over my keys and the service advisor looked at my car for two seconds and tried to tell me that I need 4 new tires.... until I informed him I only have 15k miles on it and he quickly backpedaled. They quoted me $250 for an oil change which seemed oddly high. I called the North Lake location to see if it's the same price, and they only charge $194 out of door price with taxes and fees. I agreed to the Charlotte pricing since I was already there and when I went up to pay my total for the oil change was $294.48!!!!! Just another reason to not go to Audi Charlotte. Please save yourself the headache, bad mood, and money and just drive to Audi Northlake for service, they won't rip you off. read more

I have been receiving texts and emails from this dealership on completing a survey on the service of my vehicle in April 2023 and june 2023. I have not had my vehicle serviced at this dealership in over a year. Now, my Carfax report on my vehicle has the reported services that never occurred and the information on my vehicle is incorrect on the Carfax report (incorrect mileage). My wife and I purchased a Q5, in mid-April and then purchased a Q3, on Friday, May 3rd. Netti Nash, salesperson, and Daniel Steven, Sales Manager, were great during the purchase of both vehicles. I test drove the Q3 on May 2nd, but Netti was off and Eric, last name not recalled, helped me during the test drive on the sale and delivery on May 3rd. While completing the documentation and working out the financing details, Audi Financing was not able to match or beat Navy Federal's rate, and I informed Eric I would be using their draft check to purchase the Q3. As we waited for Marcus Robbins, finance manager, to complete another sale, Eric mentioned that due to the purchase amount an IRS form 8300 was required to be filed "as drug dealers tended to launder money by buying cars" with cash or bank drafts. He reemphasized "drug dealers laundered money by buying cars", several times, after I pointed out that I was using a Navy Federal Credit Union bank draft and questioned the process. Nevertheless, he asked for my SSN and completed a form, which I never saw or signed, if it needed my signature. The IRS's own website states when using a cashier's check or bank draft, traveler's check or money order in the amount of $10,000 or more is not treated as cash and a business does not have to file Form 8300. While our experience with the Q5 has been positive, the Q3 has left a lot to be desired, e.g., from the brakes clunking from a complete stop and when pulling out from our driveway, to the MMI system not communicating with the myAudi App. The car's MMI system had communication issues with the myAudi App from day one, and Eric stated it would take a day or two to sync. Eric rushed through the delivery of the car, as his shift ended soon, and I eventually met with Marcus Robbins and Netti completed the delivery. On May 6th, I spoke with Netti and described the brake and MMI issues and she set an appointment for May 7th for Kevin Koteles, Service Manager, to diagnose the car. On May 7th, I drove the car with Kevin, through their designated test route, and his assessment was that the clunking brakes were not only normal on Q3s, but it was normal on A3s, A4s and other Audi models, and there was nothing he could do. However, upon my insistence, he agreed to inspect the car. I waited for over an hour, Kevin showed me the undercarriage of the car and pointed out there was nothing wrong with the car. This was a walkthrough and visual inspection only. I had expected a more in-depth inspection, e.g., tired pulled out and close inspections of the calipers, brakes and suspension system. During the week of May 6th, Netti attempted to help with registering the Key User ID into the car's MMI system by resetting the account and opening a ticket with Audi Digital Services, but the account was never linked to the car. Audi Digital Services told Netti the car's MMI system needed an upgrade and Netti stated the service department would call to schedule an appointment. They never called me. I called them on Wednesday, May 8th or Thursday, May 9th and they tried to walk me through the MMI registration process, which Netti and I had already tried and failed. Eventually they gave me a May 28th service appointment. On Friday, May 10th, I spoke with Netti and mentioned a two-week appointment was not acceptable, and said she would try to escalate to get an earlier date. Early Monday morning, May 13th, the service department called and said they had a loaner car, and I dropped off the Q3 at 10:30 AM. Throughout my conversations with Netti, I have emphasized the brake and MMI issues. However, the service department representative, only referenced the MMI system. Patience is a virtue and I decided to deal with one thing at time. I get to the service department at 10:30AM and no one has a clue as to why I'm there, and Billy Matthews, service advisor, eventually takes my car and is unsure why, even after I saw him speaking with Kevin Koteles. Billy, eventually, brings an A3 as a loaner. On May 14th Netti called to ask how the car was doing, assuming the MMI system had been fixed, but I informed her the car was still at the dealership. On Wednesday, May 15th at approximately noon, I called the service department and spoke with Billy, who mentioned they were working on the Q3 and would call me back in 30 minutes with an update. Billy never called and I called again at about 4:30PM, I was transferred to Billy who asked for my email address and stated I would be called with an update the next day. No one called the next day. On the May 17th, I spoke with Netti and feeling exhausted from the experience thus far, I asked to explore the option of trading the Q3, despite the loss I may have to take. On May 18th, I received a call from Daniel Steven, sales manager, who had assisted with the Q3 and Q5 negotiation and advised against trading in the Q3. After calling for an oil change and being told it would be 4 weeks before they could service my car, I asked if I could come get the oil topped off to hold me until then. Sure they said and yes it's covered under the Audi care plan. So I make the trip over only to find out they require I buy the oil because it's only free during the oil change. Which by the way is an oil change they can't do for a month. It's not about the cost, it's about taking care of your customers. We purchased our A5 at Audi Charlotte before COVID. The deal included Audicare's regular maintenance. This past week, my car prompted me to service the vehicle in the next 13 days. I called Audi Charlotte to schedule a service. I have become accustomed to extended scheduling dates, but was shocked to hear that it would be SIX WEEKS before I could have service on a prepaid plan. I happened to be in Atlanta with my car and called Jim Ellis Audi to check. They got me in the next day!!! It's definitely worth the drive to spend a day in Atlanta. I know there are systemic issues. Our State is broken and suffers from an economy destroyed by this system of welfare and handouts. Our business leaders like Audi Charlotte need to step up to take a stand against our State government to take the steps needed to put our welfare State to get back to work! read more

I had a terrible start to the week when my A6 had an electrical failure and shut down while I was driving it. I was dreading taking it into the service department due to the time it would take to fix it, the cost, and not having a vehicle to drive. I showed up first thing in the morning, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided me with an estimate of 5-7 days, gave me a loaner car, and quickly had me on my way. I received a video assessment later the same day, and early the next day my car was done 4 days ahead of schedule. We landed on an Audi and went back to the dealership this past weekend. Within a couple hours we were done and driving home in our new car. If you are in the market for or considering an Audi go in and see Max - he's fantastic! What makes this dealership unique in a good way is their willingness to provide you information to help you arrive at a decision but without the pressure you typically receive from other dealers. The negotiating was not painful either which is what most people dread when buying a car. Overpromised and underdelivered seems to be the name of the game here. My primary concern when leasing my next vehicle was that the specs on my new SUV had to match my previous vehicle's specs, at minimum. This concern was NOT met with my new SQ5 lease. In other words, the SQ5 contains less tech features than my old Q7. I was led to believe that the SQ5 and the Q7 were practically similar in features because my Q7 had the Premium Plus package, and the vehicle sticker on the SQ5 stated that it, too, had Premium Plus. As such, I thought the SQ5 would have the same features as my Q7, at minimum. However, this was not the case. My frustration lies in the fact that Grant (my sales advisor) openly disclosed only 1 feature not in the SQ5. I don't get why Grant didn't tell me upfront that the below features in my Q7 were not in the SQ5. I test-drove a Q5. Immediately after I test drove it, I was told it could not be sold due to a recall. I was presented with an SQ5 that cost $15k more than the Q5. First, the only feature explicitly disclosed to me regarding its presence in the Q7 and not in the SQ5 is the Audi Phone Box (wireless charging). Grant told me this is due to the chip shortage. I appreciate being told this in advance of signing the lease docs. One main feature I used on my Q7 is parallel park assist. The SQ5 does not have this feature. I was shocked to see this option was not in the SQ5 when I was driving around in Charlotte within the first day of having the vehicle. Another feature on my Q7 is traffic sign recognition. With this traffic sign recognition comes the ability to detect curves in the road and if the vehicle is on adaptive cruise control, the vehicle will automatically slow its speed. It wasn't until AFTER I specifically emailed Daniel (sales manager) about whether the SQ5 had the traffic sign recognition that I was told this option was not available on the vehicle. The Q7 allowed the driver & front row passenger to adjust their fan speeds separately. Also, in the 2nd row, each side could adjust its temperature and fan speed accordingly. The SQ5 does not let the driver and front-row passenger adjust fan speeds separately, only the temp. In the rear, there's only 1 temperature control setting, and no fan speed adjustment (Just the standard manual vent dial). The Q7 had heated rear seats. The SQ5 does not. Additionally, the Q7 Side Assist was almost always accurate. There were very few instances when a vehicle was not detected. Often, the SQ5's Side Assist is not accurate. It lights up when it detects the highway shoulder/median. Also, there have been numerous instances where the side mirror does not light up when there is a vehicle in my blind spot. Another issue is the SQ5's keyless entry. In the Q7, I could have my key fob buried at the bottom of my tote purse, under my laptop, water bottle, and wallet, and the vehicle could still be unlocked. In the SQ5, even when I hold the key fob directly in front of the door handle, the car will not unlock. I am not sure if a sensor or a battery needs to be replaced. Nonetheless, this has been extremely frustrating. I've had keyless entry in 4 different vehicles that either my father or I have owned/leased and there has never been a vehicle whose keyless entry acted as inaccurately as the SQ5's does. Lastly, the pairing b/n my phone & the SQ5 via the myAudi app has not worked since 12/24/21. I brought the vehicle to Audi Charlotte in January, and the problem was not resolved. I have waited 4 weeks for a response from the dealer. I contacted corporate shortly after my January visit, and resolved the issue in 3 days. I was not expecting there to be such a contrast b/n my Q7 & SQ5 , especially in light of paying an extra $15k than originally anticipated, which is roughly an additional $500 in my monthly payment. It is disheartening I'm paying more than I previously was for a vehicle with less options. read more

I ordered a loaded Q7 in late July and was told the car would be delivered in early November at the latest. It's after Thanksgiving, and The car is STILL not here. I was also told I would be updated every 2 weeks as to the progress/delivery date. NOT ONE CONTACT that I didn't initiate. I have homes in Illinois and North Carolina and the lack of communication on an $80,000 purchase is maddening. I am seriously considering ordering a car from a different Audi dealership. I can't imagine how bad this place must be when they have my money. In DECEMBER, I called yet again and was informed that my sales person had been let go. I let the sales manager know how miffed I was at the dealership's lack of communication and that I was sorry I ever ordered a car from them. He said, "You can look on DealerRater.com, LADY, and you'll see over 400 five star reviews of our dealership." Lady! He belongs on a JD Byrider lot!!! Guess he hasn't seen Yelp. I then emailed The doctor who owns the business. NO REPLY WHATSOEVER. Finally, I cancelled the order. This experience has completely turned me off of Audi. I'm buying a Mercedes. read more
