I had such a great buying experience at Audi Elk Grove and wanted to share! I was not the easiest client because I was indecisive, and I hate to feel like I'm wasting anyone's time. My husband initially stopped by on his way to work to check out a car we saw online, since my Q5 was totaled last year and I'm finally ready to buy again. Unfortunately, the car had sold the day before, but John (salesperson) was super helpful. He took my husband's info, followed up, and sent over a few comparable listings. One of them caught my eye right away because I loved the interior color. We came in to check it out, and although it was John's day off, Chris stepped in to help us. I forewarned him that my husbands more into the car than I am, I'm not set on it. I looked at both the Q5 and SQ5 but realized they were a bit too small now that we have a newborn and need space for an additional car seat. Chris showed us the Q7 we originally came in to look at, test drove it, but I wasn't quite ready to make a decision yet. We spent the whole day shopping around, and when we came back around 6pm, Chris welcomed us back with so much patience. He showed us the car again, offered another test drive, and never once made me feel pressured. I ended up going with the Q7...and I'm SO happy I did! I went to look at the bmw X3 and other mini SUV's and I kept thinking of this one. I really want to highlight how amazing both John and Chris were. John stayed involved behind the scenes, helping my husband over the phone to make sure everything ran smoothly. Chris gave me the full car buying experience (which I told him I usually leave to my husband!), explained everything clearly, including the engine for life policy, and truly made me feel comfortable every step of the way. What stood out the most was his honesty because he even said he didn't want to sell me a car I wasn't sure about. That meant a lot. I needed that time to step away and compare options, and when I came back, I knew it was the right choice. To top it all off, Chris had the car fully detailed, stayed past closing, and even put a bow on it for photos. Such a thoughtful touch! Overall, this was such a smooth and positive experience. I am extremely frustrated with my experience. I purchased my vehicle back in September and, months later, I still have not received my license plates. This is completely unacceptable. I have called multiple times and have repeatedly been told that a manager would return my call, yet I have not received a single follow-up. The lack of communication and accountability is very disappointing, especially for a brand like Audi that is supposed to provide a high level of customer service. At this point, I feel ignored and let down. This situation should have been resolved long ago, and I expect immediate attention to this matter. Just had some work done on my Q5 that was recommended by them, I have NEVER had any engine issues or had check engine lights come on with the car. After getting the car back, I noticed it would stall every time I put it in reverse. So my husband took it down to the service department and one of the service guys rode in the car to see what he thought it was. He said he knew exactly what it was and that it was the engine trying to turn off to save gas, so recommended turning on the fuel saver button when reversing. Keep in mind, it never stalled in reverse in the past with or without the button on. A month later, the car is stalling going forward and the gears won't shift while driving. So we took it to a non-dealership mechanic and they said the electronic system of the transmission failed, replacement is $6k!! I've always heard dealerships will scam you, but this is just flat out evil. Went from recommended maintenance work to a non-working car!! read more

Service department is run by crooks, namely Mike Crisel (service advisor), and unprofessionals namely Felipe Fuentes (service manager). This review is long overdue as it was 09/2023 when this took place. As someone who rarely leaves reviews, I m still doing this 2 years later as my experience was so horrible with their service department. For anyone who wants to verify the facts on this review, please feel free to text me at 916-538-2674, I will gladly take the time to substantiate. Short version: Elk Grove Audi damaged my MAF sensor during the oil change (airbox + MAF needs to be removed to get to the oil filter), and essentially held my car hostage and milked additional $700 out of me. I was their dedicated customer from 2008 till 2023, no other dealer or mechanic ever touched my car. Shame on them, these two guys should NOT be in service sector! Long version: I have a 2005 Audi A8 that I have owned since 2006 with only 60k miles, and garage kept (still looks and runs like brand new). Elk Grove Audi is the only dealership that ever worked on it (oil changes, and 2014 major service (waterpump/timing belt/etc.). In 09/23, I dropped off the car for an oil change, perfectly running car with absolutely zero problems of any kind. As part of the oil change service, they did a complementary inspection and recommended tire change soon, no other issues. When I went to pick up the car, the check engine light came on immediately as I started the car. Walked back to Mike Crisel, the service advisor, he had the tech check and said the MAF(mass airflow sensor) wasn't connected properly so they did and it is good now. I get in the car, and the check engine light comes on again as soon as I start it. Walk back again to Mike, he says it is the end of the shift so leave the car and he ll have them check it again. I call Mike multiple times over the next 4 days, he does not call back, or just says he ll have the tech check and get back to me. I went in on 4th day with my phone recording the audio because I didn't trust Mike. He said the MAF is bad, and it must ve been bad before the car came in. I clarified that not only it wasn't bad before, it wasn't even bad when they did a video inspection and send me a text link to it. When I asked to speak to the manager (Felipe Fuentes), he was totally dismissive, and also said I was being rude to his service advisor). I informed Felipe that his service advisor is lying, and if he wants to listen to the whole conversation for that day, I am recording the whole conversation because of the lack of trust I had in Mike. Felipe immediately said we don't talk to customers who record. Even after I laid out all the facts, they said it ll cost $600 change the MAF. He said he ll have a tech call me. Being frustrated and short of options, when the tech called me, I asked them to replace it, and the quote was $600. When I go to pick the car, they added an additional $100 expedite fee. So I paid $700 for something that clearly was damaged by their service guy when he removed the airbox to get to the oil filter. I m a tech executive, and it isn't the $700 that bothers, but rather how Mike and Felipe treated me like I was asking for a freebie although they clearly knew that their tech must ve damaged the sensor when removing/disconnecting it for the oil service. To say the least, I haven't taken any of my cars to them, and that was the last deal I made with Audi. This is coming from a long term Audi enthusiast (2005 Audi A8, 2014 Audi S8, 2017 Audi R8, 2021 Audi RSQ8). read more

We went here last weekend to look at a used Audi SQ5. We immediately asked how the pricing works and if they negotiate from listed price - we were assured if we were serious about buying that they would. I asked who to talk to, the sales person(Gian) said him. Gian also did not know anything about Audi and wasn't really able to answer questions. We identified missing items to car (covers, spare tire pump, etc) as well as damage including yo front bumper and again said we'd only be interested if the price came down. After our initial visit we had lunch and then returned ready to negotiate. Turns out as we were walking to go talk price he THEN disclosed a there is $2k of additional charges they add to the price (mandatory accessories) but again assured us they would negotiate. After over 2 hrs with them start to finish the best offer they gave was $500 higher than the list price online. (Added $2k and then took off 1.5k and acted like they were working with us) I gave feedback it would have been nice to be upfront and he actually argued he was. Telling someone two mins before you have to disclose something in writing is not being upfront or transparent especially when you were asked the direct question on pricing throughout the interactions. Car was also dirty and didn't event vacuum the cup holders or car and had air freshener that was so strong it made me think someone died or smoked in the car. read more

DON'T LEASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I've been regretting it for the last couple of years!! All you experienced car buyers and lessees know that sales reps will do and say just about anything to get your business but once it's gotten, their level of service "can" greatly diminishes. That wasn't the case when I've previously bought from Lexus but Audi was a totally different experience. Great car, bad representatives. I returned a leased vehicle to this dealership in August 2020 and I'm still getting Fastrak Violation Notices for it, in 2022! I've called the dealership, called Audi Financial gone in person to the dealership and spoken to their sales manager, (who was unfortunately no help) he half-heartedly attempted to call an inside person at DMV registration when I was there but the call didn't go through and he didn't offer to follow up, instead he told me to deal directly with Fastrak. Two lengthy letters with full documentation to Fastrak and I'm back at square one. Yup! ALMOST 2 YEARS LATER, and the registration on my returned vehicle is still, unbelievably under my name and Audi has no clue who they sold or transferred the car to, so I'm on the hook or perceived as guilty for all crimes and misdemeanors committed with this car such as: toll violations, moving violations caught on camera etc.. I'm hoping this car is not involved in a hit and run or a smash and grab. Come on Audi, STEP UP and take some responsibility!! Remove my name from the car's reg and pay the toll violations!! So I used to love coming here but this last time probably will be my last time.. no more 90 mile round trips just to come when the service itself is meh... My car was making a weird sound right after I turn it off so I brought it in, also getting an oil change while I'm at it. The service was a prepaid plan so cool, free. The funny noise they diagnosed it and originally was going to charge me like $1000 for it, but found it was under warranty due to CA smog regulations, so free also, cool. They discovered rodent damage and had to replace a wire, $3 part and $372 labor for having to drive my car around to ensure it was functioning properly.. ok this is kind of iffy but ok, I'm impartial toward this, though I'd question the ethics of charging for replacing a set of wires when I also told him my friend was a mechanic if they were willing to just sell me the part (but they recommended against it, of course). The one star review has very little to do with any of that though I shared to be transparent. I had left my FastTrak in the loaner they gave me and called on Monday to let them know. They said they'd look into it and let me know. Come Monday night, no call back. I called Tuesday and left messages, no call back. Repeat on Wednesday and Thursday as well to no avail. Once they collected the money for the wire-repair I was a ghost to them. Absolutely horrible way to treat customers, seeing as I had even told them I needed my FastTrak to navigate through Bay Area traffic the next two weeks. Thanks Rodrigo! read more

I called the night before to check on a car they had listed in their inventory, and was told I would be able to go the next day to check it out. It was exactly what I wanted, but there was some sort of discrepancy in the price listed online, versus the price they were asking. They gave me the runaround about how the online price had not been updated. He started asking all of these questions related to what I was looking for in a car, I told him the car I came to see was what I was interested in. Took our car for service last week. It went down smoothly. Although I thought buying pre-maintenance would cover tire rotation but it didn't had to pay 25$ for it but Leon is awesome. They don't offer shuttle service at this time due to covid 19 so I had to take an uber to my grandma's house to wait for our car. I communicated with Hanna, their internet manager, and I felt almost right away like I'm being sold a used Cadillac. She gave me a pretty average deal and tried making it look like this was a deal of the century. Also, when I asked what discounts they were providing she proceeded to count the $7,500 tax credit which they have nothing to do with and I may not even qualify for. If this is not a con way of selling cars, I don't know what is. I just want to begin by saying we Love Audi. We came in to check out Audi Etron. Greeted by a sales person. Told him we are considering Etron Q4 and a model 3. Didn't say this But we were more leaning toward Etron just because there are so many Model 3 out there now. We told him we want to see what are some of the major differences. He relied right away by saying "you know what we tell customers who are considering a Tesla, go, go ahead why don't you go buy a Tesla. Go, go buy a Tesla." We were in shock and I decided to not be rude. But we know we are not getting a car from this sales person or this dealership. He probably thought that was an epic sales approach. The sales person Ross showed up after 5 days and apologized after the long 4th of July Holiday weekend for the lack of service after the car deal due to the long holiday weekend. He explained since our deal was done 1130 pm on July 3rd that no one at that dealership knew the details of the car purchase since he and the sales manager that night was gone for 5 days. Ross (my sales person)has helped me wonderfully after the disconnect. The vehicle is a very nice Premium Plus Q5 fully loaded with heating and cooling seat. rear kick to open tail gate, Audi beam lights, etc. Yusuf Steward (the sales manager that night) did give me the best discount on a popular vehicle, I have ever received after buying over a dozen cars in my lifetime. I recently purchased a used 2013 A8 from the east coast and despite a pre-purchase inspection, excellent documented dealer service history and low miles, I had a breakdown. Service Advisor Lisa Thor, in order to earn my business as a potential new customer, fought to have the initial repair estimate lowered to where it was competitive with the local independent mechanics in the area. Nothing shy of 5 huge stars describes my experience with the service center at Elk Grove Audi! I was nervous having just bought my car through Carvana and hearing from another Audi service center that I would be looking at thousands of dollars in repairs with no understanding of how the 30 warranty worked or how or what would be covered, I left that location thinking I'd just lost my dream car to the ultimate bad fortune. The next morning I made one more call...to the service center at Elk Grove Audi! They got me right in and Lisa Thor, the angel that she is, quickly calmed my nerves. She understood the entire process with Carvana and their warranty provider. She ordered a detailed video inspection and they emailed it to me. She handled the claim, kept me posted with the adjuster, and figuratively held my hand through the whole process. Initially the engine repairs were done and the second part was putting on a whole new top! Virtually everything was covered (pun intended) and when I went back in for the top (I live several hours away) it wasn't quite ready so they offered me a VERY nice loaner car until I was able to get back. I can't emphasize enough how well I was treated at Elk Grove Audi. Every single person I came in contact with was kind and professional. I thought that when I purchased a luxury car that it came with impeccable service. But apparently not. I brought my Car in for the 40k mile service and oil change... the complimentary car wash was half ass, and somehow my driver seat window had 3 different scratches that were not there prior to me dropping off my car. I reached out to the service member who checked me in about the scratches, and sent pictures but given my windows are tinted it was hard to see the scratches, and I had to go out of town for a business trip and did not return until a month later and I reached out again but there was no response. I'm upset that one I paid for the care package and services when I could've went elsewhere if they were not going to give me the best service possible and damage my car. read more
