I am leasing a Ford Escape 2025 model. I received a letter from Ford headquarters telling me there is an issue with the battery of the car. I emailed to Trevor Glanz, the one who signed the lease, attaching the letter from Ford and asking to return the vehicle and get a different one to lease. No answer. I waited one week and then called his direct number, no answer. Went on their website and the contact link doesn't work. Called the main office number and was referred to Aaron who said Trevor was sitting across from him. Aaron gave me his email to forward my request. Next day I finally get an email from Trevor: "I would not be the right person to handle this but would be happy to get someone to assist you if someone has not already?" This is not customer service. The message should have said: I would not be the right person to handle this but have forwarded your request to xxx, and here is their contact phone and email in case you need to follow up. Communication. Customer service. I answered, asking for the contact info of the person I need to speak to. I have not received an answer back. read more

I expect dealership service to be pricier than independent shops, the costs here seem excessive. First, be aware that they may charge a diagnosis fee without prior notification. I brought my car in for a potential warranty issue (which turned out to be external damage) and while I understand that isn't covered, I was presented with a bill for the diagnosis without ever being warned of the cost. Second, the labor estimates are puzzling. I was quoted a grand and five hours of labor just to remove the bumper. For context, an independent shop quoted me $250-$500 to complete the entire job in two hours. I definitely recommend getting a second quote before committing to major repairs here." read more

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but my experience with Elk Grove Ford has been extremely disappointing. The first issue was that my brand-new 2025 Ford Escape was missing a floor mat. I noticed it the next day and had to drive all the way back to Elk Grove from Lincoln just to get the missing mat. Five days later, my brand-new vehicle wouldn't start and left me stranded. It turned out the battery was defective and had to be replaced. A couple of months later, I received a letter from the DMV stating that my driver's license could be suspended because proof of insurance had not been submitted by the dealership. I immediately sent the DMV the same insurance information I had already provided to Ford. Then things got even worse. I started receiving FasTrak invoices for bridge tolls on the vehicle I had traded in, followed by a DMV notice for unpaid registration on that same vehicle. Aaron repeatedly assured me it was a DMV error, but eventually emailed me a Release of Liability form and had me complete the paperwork myself. I'm 47 years old and have purchased many new vehicles throughout my life. I have never experienced anything like this. After spending hours of my own time filing FasTrak disputes and submitting paperwork to the DMV, the issue finally appears to be resolved. The most concerning part is that Elk Grove Ford sold my trade-in in March, yet they apparently failed to properly process the Release of Liability when I traded it in and also failed to complete the necessary paperwork when it was sold. I was fortunate that the only issues were bridge tolls and registration notices. Had the new owner been involved in a serious accident while the vehicle was still legally in my name, the consequences could have been much more significant. Overall, this experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I expect a dealership to handle the paperwork correctly when purchasing and trading in a vehicle. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Elk Grove Ford. read more

I brought my vehicle to Elk Grove Ford for its scheduled maintenance. I paid for the maintenance service, which I understood included a tire rotation. However, I was informed that one of the wheel lug nuts could not be removed, so the tire rotation could not be completed.Instead of resolving the issue, I was told to take the vehicle to the selling dealership, Future Ford of Roseville. After driving to Future Ford of Roseville, I was told that the lug nut could, in fact, be removed. However, I was also told that I would need to pay an additional charge to complete the tire rotation. I then contacted the Store Manager at Elk Grove Ford and explained the situation. I asked whether Elk Grove Ford would cover the additional charge since I had already paid for my maintenance service and the tire rotation could not be completed during my original visit. The Store Manager told me they would not cover the cost. Instead, he instructed me to bring the vehicle back to Elk Grove Ford so they could try removing the lug nut again. If they were able to remove it, they would complete the tire rotation. If they could not, then there would simply be nothing more they could do. As a customer, I find this response completely unreasonable. I have already paid for the maintenance service. I should not be expected to coordinate between two Ford dealerships, repeatedly schedule new appointments, and continue driving back and forth because the dealerships cannot agree on how to resolve an issue. Because of this situation, I have made multiple unnecessary trips between dealerships. Since I did not have transportation available, I have spent over $100 on Uber rides alone trying to resolve an issue that should have been handled by Ford's authorized dealer network. More importantly, this is not about the money. My time is valuable as well. I have spent hours making phone calls, arranging transportation, scheduling multiple service appointments, and traveling between dealerships simply because two Ford authorized dealerships could not coordinate a solution. I purchased a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle because I trusted the Ford brand. I expected Ford's authorized dealerships to work together to take care of their customers and provide a consistent ownership experience. Instead, I found myself acting as the middleman between two dealerships. Rather than communicating with each other and resolving the issue internally, the responsibility was repeatedly shifted onto me. As the customer, I was expected to continue making appointments, driving between dealerships, and trying to resolve a problem that should never have become my responsibility. This is not the level of customer care I expected from Ford. What made this experience even worse was my interaction with the Store Manager at Elk Grove Ford. During our phone conversation yesterday, I was simply trying to understand how Ford intended to resolve this situation after I had already paid for my maintenance service. Instead of working with me to find a reasonable solution, the Store Manager spoke to me in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. Before I had the opportunity to finish explaining my concerns or ask additional questions, he ended the conversation by hanging up the phone. I found this interaction extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Regardless of whether a customer has concerns or disagrees with a dealership's position, every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect. Hanging up on a customer is simply not acceptable. I respectfully ask Ford to review the recorded phone conversation between myself and the Store Manager at Elk Grove Ford, as I believe it accurately reflects how this situation was handled. This entire experience has been incredibly disappointing. This was my very first maintenance visit. My vehicle has never been modified. I had already paid for the maintenance service. Yet instead of receiving a solution, I received conflicting information from two Ford authorized dealerships, repeated appointments, unnecessary travel, over $100 in transportation expenses, wasted time, and customer service that fell far below the standards I expected from Ford. Ford is buying back our lemon Bronco we purchased so we were looking to buy a new Bronco. It was extremely hot on Saturday. Our salesman did not seem too enthusiastic to sell us a car he spent 5 minutes with us at the most. Funny we purchased our Bronco here. He was called away and said he would come back to check on us. We waited a bit and left. We felt abandoned. Nissan dealer offered us cold water, went for test drive and offered us water when we left. Again it was extremely hot outside. I called to ask about a truck that we had there to get serviced. We had to call twice because the first time they gave us the wrong information. I understand marking mistakes, but when we called back to get the correct information, the service advisor immediately had an attitude and argued with me on the phone denying that our truck was even there. Then all of a sudden she put me on hold, then just transferred the call to another gentlemen who was able to help. If you're going to call this place, just be ready for them to argue with you or deny that your vehicle is even there (even when you read them the last 8 of the VIN). read more

I originally took my 2012 Ford Edge to a local brake and tire repair facility. They suggested that I "take it to the dealer." That turned out to be a bad decision. I brought the car in on Thursday morning, and "Lizzy," my service advisor, seemed more annoyed than helpful. She told me she would call with an estimate, and I left her my phone number. Late the next day, my wife called to get an update. We were told there was "higher than expected call volume," so we left a message with my number again. Later that day, Lizzy called back, but she called my wife's number. Since my wife wasn't expecting Lizzy's call on her phone, we only received the message later in the day. Overall, the communication was awful throughout this ordeal. As for the repair itself, I would call it "highway robbery," but that would unfairly tarnish the reputation of actual highway robbers. They quoted us almost $1,100 for a repair that typically costs around $650. They didn't hesitate to provide that quote and even wanted to add another $700 to replace a simple power steering hose that was supposedly leaking. That was a definite no. Regarding the timing of the repair, the car went in on Thursday, and we were promised it would be ready by Monday. However, we only received a "pick-up" call (again, to the wrong number) the following Wednesday. There was no apology (1) for the delay, (2) the excessive price, or (3) the communication issues. Three strikes, and you're out: I will go to great lengths to avoid ever going there again. I urge you to do the same. read more

This is not the first time I've had issues with the service department at the Elk Grove location but my most recent visit was especially frustrating and unprofessional both interactions with Mike. I had an appointment scheduled at 9:15 AM for a recall software update and was told by Mike that the service would take about one hour. After not receiving a call, I returned three hours later and was told my car was still not done and that staff would be going to lunch, so there was no estimate on when it would be completed. I reminded Mike that I had a scheduled appointment and had been told it would only take about an hour. He then explained that he was prioritizing customers who were physically sitting in the lobby waiting -- even if they did not have appointments -- over those with scheduled appointment times. I asked for clarification and confirmed that even with an appointment, I would only be helped sooner if I stayed and waited in the lobby without any clear completion estimate. He said yes. While I was on the phone arranging a ride due to the delay, Mike began loudly calling out from his office, stating that another customer had waited four hours inside and that several walk-in customers were helped before me because they stayed in the lobby. This felt unprofessional and inappropriate. I do not understand the purpose of scheduling an appointment if walk-ins are consistently prioritized ahead of scheduled customers. The expectation is that appointments reserve a service window and are honored accordingly. This is also not my first negative experience with Mike. After purchasing a brand-new 2025 vehicle, I brought it in about six months later due to a door issue. I was told the repair would be completed by the end of the week. At the end of that week, I was again told it would be done by the end of the day and that I would receive updates. I did not hear anything and had to call around 4:30 PM, close to closing time, only to be told the technicians had already left and my car was still in the stall with no clear status. I was promised a Monday update, which never came. I had to call again and was then told Tuesday. Once again, I did not receive proactive communication and only got confirmation the vehicle was ready when I reached out -- followed by a message just 30 minutes before closing. The repeated lack of communication, missed timelines, and dismissive handling of scheduled appointments have been extremely disappointing. I value professionalism, clear expectations, and basic courtesy -- especially when trusting a service department with a new vehicle purchase. I would appreciate this complaint being reviewed and addressed, along with clarification on your appointment and service prioritization policies going forward. read more

Well our experience at Elk Grove Ford was great, then not so great, then turned out fantastic. Let me explain. We went to Elk Grove Ford to test drive a Bronco Sport to consider using it as a vehicle to tow behind our Motorhome in our travels. We took one for a test drive and upon our return, our salesman Vince met us and we liked the SUV and we were told that the finance rate was pretty low on these and it wouldn't be much more expensive to buy new instead of used. We were looking at used 2021 Bronco. We explained to Vince what out intentions were for this vehicle and he stated that he thought it could be flat towed, but will find out for sure. He came back and stated that they could be flat towed. We decided to go for it and lease the Bronco Sport for 3 years. After a couple hours, we were on our way home with our new "TOAD." We got home late, so I didn't really do much with the vehicle. I woke up early so I could read up on the flat towing sequence you have to use so you can flat tow. I didn't find one. Upon Elk Grove Ford opening, I drove the Bronco there to have them walk me through the process. I was met by Vince, who wasn't familiar with the flat tow sequence, but would get someone who was. Well........the bottom line is that you CANNOT flat tow a Bronco Sport at all. That opened up a can of worms, that I thought was going to be a big problem as we no longer want that vehicle. The manager Ray met us and was apprised of the situation and began a resolution. After about 15 minutes he came out and offered us a 2023 Ford Edge (which is flat towable). I looked at it and after initial thoughts, I knew I didn't want it, but Ray said drive it home and let my wife check it out. I told him it would probably be a big NO! Obviously my wife hated it and stated she wants a Bronco. We both went back to Elk Grove Ford to turn the Edge in and see what other resolutions Ray had to remedy this situation. Ray then advised that they just received a shipment of 3 Full size Broncos on the truck in the lot. One of them was the color that my wife wanted. I was expecting a much higher lease payment, but Ray made it work so our payment was only about $150/month higher. We leased that new Bronco on the spot. We were very unhappy that employees were not up to date on functions of the vehicles that they sell, but it turned out for the best. Thanks for making this adventure right. read more

The person that posted the reply I am told is there and she would call me right back. Yeah you guessed it no return call. What is interesting is they post replies to negative comments instead of reaching out by phone. When I was in the process of buying, they had no problem calling me. When they wanted referrals they called me but now they all of a sudden they can't or won't call me but want to save face by acting like they respond to negative comments. I dropped my car off for service on Friday morning. I had to call to get an update. They tell me they're gonna look at my car again on Saturday. I heard nothing from the service department. Monday was a holiday so I called Tuesday because the service department did not call me back. They told me my advisor was off that day so I probably would not have heard from them. If I did not call they told me they were gonna dig further into my diagnosis they did not. They told me they were gonna call me with a price for a repair they have not. I came to Elk Grove Ford ready to purchase a specific used car, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish. The customer service was terrible. I was quoted $2,500 for an extended warranty. After signing everything electronically, I was given a flash drive with all my documents, but when I checked it later, it was completely empty. I let Javier know, and he said he would email me the documents. When he finally did, the email was empty. I had to follow up again before he sent the files the next day. When I reviewed the documents, I discovered I had been charged $4,000 for the warranty. I contacted Javier, who claimed the higher cost was because he supposedly lowered my loan interest rate and the difference was reflected in the warranty price. That explanation made no sense, especially since my interest rate had not changed at all. It felt like he assumed I wouldn't notice or question the extra charge. I told him to cancel the warranty. He sent me the cancellation form right away and claimed he submitted it. Weeks later, after no changes showed up on my loan, I contacted the warranty company and found out they never received the form. He lied about submitting it. I had to send it myself to finally get the cancellation process started. This whole experience was dishonest, careless, and incredibly frustrating. There was a little bump when the call to pick up came from a town 20 minutes down the road. Apparently this was a result of a business buyout. We were looking for a Bronco Sport for my wife and drove all the way from Modesto after not finding too much inventory at our local Ford dealership and other surrounding ones. We came in on a Saturday afternoon where greeted by Demetrius and long story short... couple of hours later drove out in our new Bronco. Some of the other dealerships where asking for a price increase above MSRP but we ended up getting a discount and a competitive trade in for our explorer. The signing part was efficient and the finance lady,( can't remember her name) but she was very personable, friendly, and got through it quickly. It was a Saturday night so the final cleaning and some of the service from the detail guys was so so but the Kings where playing the Warriors and they all wanted to go home so we will give them benefit of doubt. The sales rep was great, unfortunately they do not know the condition of the stock they bring in for resale, as this was a surprise to him. The photo is from the roof of a used Nissan Armada they have posted up. Damage is not listed in the online description, but the pricepoint is below market for this vehicle anyways. Divulging the deep gouge may have influenced my choice to visit this dealer, so it is understandable they don't divulge this info online. Scratch is to the metal and the metal is oxidized. Looks like it may affect the condition of the sunroof seal. Just a testament to ensuring you know what to look for and the "Buyer Beware" mentality for all used cars.. We couldnt make a $500 discount to the asking price as they assured me they were losing money already, but somehow it seemed the scratch was news to them. read more

I really don't know where to begin since I had to take my vehicle back or different times I have a 2014 Ford edge August 5, 2025. I took it to the service department inquiring about my sunroof not working anymore and the air for the driver side was blowing out warmair. I gave them my service contract information unfortunately for whatever reason it took five days before my Service contract approved to work and another 10 days to get the vehicle back and the work was finally done..Sunroof was covered by my service contract.. Air conditioner issue I had to pay for. HVAC Module recharge performed... The vehicle was returned to me dirty, and another piece of a part that I didn't know what it went to was off..No one showed me what work was done and that sunroof works properly or the air worked.I had to turn it on to see for myself. on the floor of the backseat a screw cap cover that was there was off nowhere to be found.. I called back, letting them know that my car was not delivered in the form that should've been. I keep my car clean and they returned it in a in acceptable condition. Took the vehicle back 8/22. For them to wash and detail the inside.. picked it up later that day. On 8/25.The very next day charge system light came on.. 8/28. Called AAA. I was stuck at Lowe's.. I had AAA toll me home told me battery was fine no sure what was going on. II didn't wanna pay for a diagnostic .. since FORD did one. 8/29. I went out of Town for Labor Day. Called Ford took the car back in on 9/3. They called me later that day.. said it was the battery.. I agreed to put a new Battery in..hoping that this was it.. well needless to say I got about 4 miles away and that light came on again. (I did get the screw cover replaced and located where the piece that was on the floor went).this was 9/4. I had to get the car back to them the following day 9/5. I got a call around 4:00 saying they figured it out. I need a new alternator. well, at this point, I didn't want to leave the car there since I had a new battery I was able to drive it back home to give this some more thought. I decided to take it to another certified shop.. When I was taking the car to the other shop, I looked up and something was hanging from the sunroof that they just replaced coming off of the track .
