Just got my car serviced here earlier today. Was able to make an appointment online no problem. The guy that checked me in was nice and helpful. They said it would be an hour and a half and that's just about how long it took. Everything went very smooth. So why the one star? After getting my car I drove home which took about 30 minutes. I noticed the car was much louder than usual and there was a very strong gasoline smell. When I parked at home I noticed a strong burning rubber smell too. I'm no mechanic so I was worried something was wrong and I would have to go all the way back to Roseville. I popped the hood to see if there was an obvious issue, and there was! They didn't put the cap back on my engine! Oil splashed around and is now all over about half my engine. This could have been a catastrophic problem from a stupid rookie mistake! I am never taking my car back here again.

I am writing to formally document and complain about my experience with Elk Grove Kia, which was characterized by repeated misrepresentation, misleading assurances, and bad-faith sales practices that ultimately wasted my time and violated basic standards of ethical business conduct. My interaction began via text message with Tam and Angus, during which I was explicitly told that Elk Grove Kia would match or beat any deal I had received. I clearly communicated that I had been offered a lease on a 2025 Kia EV6 Wind for $300 per month, 36 months, 15,000 miles per year, with $2,000 down. I also made it very clear that I no longer had the written quote because I had walked out of another dealership due to poor treatment. Despite this, Angus personally assured me in writing that Elk Grove Kia would still match or beat the deal and that the text message itself would qualify as sufficient proof. At no point was I told that the deal was conditional, speculative, or subject to later rejection by finance. In fact, I explicitly asked for confirmation before committing to the drive, stating clearly that I did not want to make the trip unless the deal was genuinely doable. I was repeatedly told "we can make that happen" and "we will beat any price." Because Elk Grove Kia is a two-hour round trip for me, I again confirmed verbally with Tam by phone two days before my appointment. Tam explicitly stated that his finance team was on board with the deal and that there would be no issues executing it. Based on these assurances, I scheduled an appointment and arrived at the dealership on January 31, 2026, at 4:00 PM, fully prepared to lease the vehicle that same day. Upon arrival, the experience immediately began to deteriorate. Tam, who had been my primary point of contact and the individual who made the assurances regarding finance approval, abruptly handed my partner and me off to another salesperson without explanation and disappeared entirely. This was the first clear red flag. The salesperson we were handed to, a recent transfer from Roseville, was professional and courteous and was the only competent and transparent individual involved in this transaction. After the test drive and submission of our information, finance presented terms that bore no resemblance whatsoever to what had been promised. We were told the deal was limited to 10,000 miles per year, with a payment of $570 per month, which directly contradicted the repeated written and verbal assurances made prior to my visit. When Angus finally came out to speak with us, he stated that the original deal was "not possible," despite the fact that he himself had assured me in writing that Elk Grove Kia would match or beat the offer and that the text conversation was sufficient. This was not a misunderstanding -- it was a direct contradiction of documented statements made by management. After extensive back-and-forth, we were presented with a last-minute offer of $3,000 down, 36 months, 10,000 miles per year, and $350 per month, which was still materially worse than what was promised. By this point, the damage had already been done. The experience was dishonest, exhausting, and clearly structured to pressure me into accepting worse terms after getting me physically into the dealership. We made the decision to leave. Only after we were walking out and getting into our car did Angus chase us down to repeat the same $350/month offer, further reinforcing the impression that the entire process was a calculated bait-and-switch tactic designed to wear the customer down rather than negotiate in good faith. Elk Grove Kia prominently advertises that it will "match and beat any deal," yet my experience demonstrates that this claim is misleading at best and deceptive at worst. I took multiple steps to confirm the legitimacy of the offer beforehand, explicitly asked whether the text messages qualified as a quote, and was repeatedly assured that they did. Those assurances were not honored. Tam, who had repeatedly stated that finance had approved the deal, was completely absent once the deal fell apart and offered no accountability or explanation. This experience reflects extremely poorly on Elk Grove Kia's management, sales practices, and integrity. I believe this behavior warrants escalation to Kia Corporate and relevant consumer protection channels. Customers should not be lured into long drives under false pretenses only to be told that written promises from management "are not possible" once they arrive.

Initially I dealt with John Thorpe followed by Larry for her purchase and Nai for the financial details. All were friendly, provided excellent customer service and "mom" got her car. The entire deal went smoothly. The only issue we had was at the signing. Again the financial person was friendly, helpful and we got the car. However it is bothersome when the extras are pushed, especially on my bonus mom who is 80. Although we got the used car she wanted, better than one we'd looked at the previous day, the pushing to buy all these add ons is tough to deal with. I know this is common at all dealerships. We finally agreed to one service contract and negotiated the price down significantly. With all that said I still give Toyota a 5 star rating due to John Thorpe and Larry. Thank you. Forgot to get photos of the Amethyst colored Honda CR-V suv which she purchased.

He told me that these things should not be bought as preventative fixes - they should be replaced as they go out, not prior. I told him that my engine was shaking and he said it would do that if only three out of four cylinders were working. Thanks, Dan, for your help! Lastly, someone nice did the hard labor and replaced my car's old Cylinder 1 with the new one from EG Toyota and my engine immediately started running smoothly and firing on all cylinders! I am so thankful that my 09 can run for longer, safely, and properly.

I expected a thorough and accurate diagnosis from a national car dealership, especially given that I have an extended warranty that was issued in 2024 after this dealership failed to put oil in my vehicle following a routine oil change. That is a story for another day. After the initial diagnosis, I received a call from Aaron, who told me, "Your motor mount is shot. You need to replace it. It is leaking hydraulic fluid. I got you a discount from $2,400 to $2,100." Something immediately felt off about being offered a $300 "discount" on a repair I had never even been told I needed before this visit. He also told me that my extended warranty would not cover the repair. At that point, I asked to speak with Mick. After reading several other reviews, it seems Mick is unfortunately left cleaning up the messes created by others. I specifically asked him to review the service notes and explain exactly what had been diagnosed. The notes stated: "MONITORED VEHICLE FOR MISFIRES WHILE VEHICLE IS IDLING AND ENGINE UNDER LOAD AND CONFIRMED NO MISFIRES ARE PRESENT. CONFIRMED NO FAULT CODES ARE PRESENT ON VEHICLE. POWER BRAKED VEHICLE AND CONFIRMED MOTOR MOUNTS HAVE EXCESSIVE PLAY PRESENT WHICH WOULD CAUSE ENGINE VIBRATION. REC REPLACING ALL MOTOR MOUNTS AND RECHECKING VEHICLE." Mick told me he would have a lead technician look into it further. I later received another call from Mick telling me that my car was fine and nothing was wrong with it. Had I not questioned the original diagnosis and specifically asked to speak with someone else, I could have walked out of there paying $2,100 for a repair that their own follow-up inspection determined was unnecessary. That is completely unacceptable. I also called Aaron back and asked him specifically where he got the information that my vehicle was leaking fluid. His response was essentially, "Well, that's what happens when your motor mounts are shot." When I pointed out that the second diagnosis contradicted what he had told me, his response was, "Sorry, I was just reading the paper." I'm sorry, but how is that acceptable? I understand that diagnostics can sometimes be complicated and that mistakes can happen. What I do not understand is confidently telling a customer that a major $2,400 repair is needed, offering a discount to get it down to $2,100, telling them their warranty won't cover it, and then having another technician determine that the vehicle is fine. I expect far more from a national dealership. Customers should be able to trust that when they bring their vehicle in, the diagnosis is accurate, the recommended repairs are actually necessary, and the people handling their vehicle take accountability for what they tell customers. This experience left me extremely disappointed and, frankly, concerned about what happens to customers who don't question the diagnosis or know enough to ask for a second opinion. The lack of accountability and communication throughout this experience is unacceptable. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing any major repair here.

Even if she was just being kind, I still appreciated it. It showed how much she cares about making customers feel comfortable and valued. When she reviewed my service history, she noticed that I had gone a long time without bringing the car in and had missed several important Mazda maintenance intervals. Still, she stayed completely professional and simply recommended the services I had missed without making me feel bad about it. I honestly appreciated that. She explained everything so calmly and kindly that it felt more like a helpful suggestion than a lecture. Everyone there worked diligently and professionally, but never in a cold or robotic way. They showed genuine warmth and hospitality, which made me feel at home and like I was being taken care of. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt this satisfied after visiting a dealership. The mechanics also did a great job taking care of my car. I think one of them may have been Sam. They sent me a detailed video, about 2 minutes and 45 seconds long, explaining the overall condition of the car. What I really liked was that they used plain English instead of a lot of mechanic jargon, so it was easy to understand what needed attention soon. They also fixed everything I asked about, including a rear wiper arm that kept dangling and the rear trunk interior light. After the service, the car drove so smoothly that it honestly felt close to brand new again. Lastly, when they returned my car, they had cleaned it so well that I was genuinely amazed. I hadn't even asked for the interior to be cleaned, but they did it anyway and made it look fresh again. My car is about 8 years old, and there had been some old Coca-Cola residue in the small gaps around the gear area that had left a brownish stain. I had tried scraping it off myself before without much success, so I really appreciated the extra care they put into cleaning it up. Thank you, Mazda Elk Grove. I'll definitely be coming back more often for my car's maintenance.

Unfortunately, our experience with Christian Gonzalez was what ultimately drove us away. He was condescending and patronizing, even drawing silly diagrams to explain the car buying process as if we were children. We've purchased a home before, we can surely understand how buying a car works. We asked to look at the cars on the lot, but he refused, claiming they don't keep new cars there. Which I knew wasn't true because my parents purchased a new Mazda from there two years ago. Whether it was a misunderstanding or simply an unwillingness to help, it left a very poor impression. Luckily, we knew what car we liked & when we tried to negotiate, something that is completely normal when buying a car, he immediately seemed offended. There's nothing wrong with having a budget and trying to stick to it as much as possible. But how about being an actual car salesman and taking us to the lot & show us the different tiers or similar models? After all, we were ready to buy that day. The final straw came when he suggested we go somewhere else and look at used cars, strongly implying that we couldn't afford a new one. We may have looked tired because we'd spent the entire day in the heat visiting dealerships however, judging customers based on their appearance is unprofessional and a terrible way to treat potential buyers. My husband and I got up and walked out because of how disrespectful the interaction had become. He couldn't even be bothered to look up from his computer or apologize. The next day, we went to Roseville Mazda and bought a brand new car. Elk Grove Mazda lost a sale because they judged us instead of treating us with respect. Worst dealership experience of our entire car search.

He respected my time, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I'd also like to recognize **Tommy**, the Sales Manager, who was equally impressive. He was professional, straightforward, and worked with me to provide a very fair value for my trade-in. I never felt pressured, and the entire negotiation process was honest, respectful, and customer-focused. One thing that really stood out was their integrity. Before I finalized the purchase, I requested additional paperwork that I wanted to review before signing. Both Tommy and Ozzie assured me there was nothing to worry about and promised they would send everything first thing Monday morning. I decided to move forward based on that commitment, and they absolutely delivered. Around 10:00 a.m. Monday, I received every document I had requested, and everything matched exactly what we had discussed at the dealership. There were no surprises, no hidden details, and no last-minute changes--just complete transparency and follow-through. That level of honesty and commitment says a lot about a dealership. It's easy to make promises during a sale, but it's much more meaningful when those promises are kept after you've driven off the lot. Overall, this was one of the best vehicle purchasing experiences I've had. If you're looking for a dealership that genuinely cares about its customers and stands behind its word, I highly recommend Niello BMW Elk Grove. Before agreeing to sign, I asked about registration. I was assured it was included in the numbers I was sent. Based upon this, I agreed to move forward. I submitted credit app, and was eager to sign. The following day, I was called by the 'manager' (doubt this was gsm, maybe finance, idk), and in reviewing the numbers, was told the payment was 20 something dollars a month more than the written quote I was sent previously. When asked why, the stated that the registration was due and needed to be added to the numbers. I politely declined and referred back to the salesperson who provided original numbers. He reassured me there was some sort of glitch and the payment was not that number (the number he gave at this point was actually $4/mo more than what he initially sent but after the credit pull I resigned to just sign and get it over with). With this reassurance, the manager calls back again, and once again gives the number that is $20/mo more than what I was given, at which point I was done. Not once was there a 'Hey sorry we missed this', or 'I recognize these were not the numbers you were previously given' a 'sorry' ZERO ownership. Just, "So what do you want to do?". I have leased a dozen BMWs from dealerships in both Northern and Southern California and not once has the number I ended up signing varied so significantly from the quote I got before we ran credit. Totally get that mistakes happen but this was very poorly handled. The next day I asked for the name of the individual (manager) I spoke with and did not receive any additional replies.

My husband initially stopped by on his way to work to check out a car we saw online, since my Q5 was totaled last year and I'm finally ready to buy again. Unfortunately, the car had sold the day before, but John (salesperson) was super helpful. He took my husband's info, followed up, and sent over a few comparable listings. One of them caught my eye right away because I loved the interior color. We came in to check it out, and although it was John's day off, Chris stepped in to help us. I forewarned him that my husbands more into the car than I am, I'm not set on it. I looked at both the Q5 and SQ5 but realized they were a bit too small now that we have a newborn and need space for an additional car seat. Chris showed us the Q7 we originally came in to look at, test drove it, but I wasn't quite ready to make a decision yet. We spent the whole day shopping around, and when we came back around 6pm, Chris welcomed us back with so much patience. He showed us the car again, offered another test drive, and never once made me feel pressured. I ended up going with the Q7...and I'm SO happy I did! I went to look at the bmw X3 and other mini SUV's and I kept thinking of this one. I really want to highlight how amazing both John and Chris were. John stayed involved behind the scenes, helping my husband over the phone to make sure everything ran smoothly. Chris gave me the full car buying experience (which I told him I usually leave to my husband!), explained everything clearly, including the engine for life policy, and truly made me feel comfortable every step of the way. What stood out the most was his honesty because he even said he didn't want to sell me a car I wasn't sure about. That meant a lot. I needed that time to step away and compare options, and when I came back, I knew it was the right choice. To top it all off, Chris had the car fully detailed, stayed past closing, and even put a bow on it for photos. Such a thoughtful touch! Overall, this was such a smooth and positive experience. If you're in the market for an Audi, I highly recommend asking for Chris or John here at Elk Grove Audi and you'll be in great hands!

I have called multiple times and have repeatedly been told that a manager would return my call, yet I have not received a single follow-up. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.
