I am writing to formally document and complain about my experience with Elk Grove Kia, which was characterized by repeated misrepresentation, misleading assurances, and bad-faith sales practices that ultimately wasted my time and violated basic standards of ethical business conduct. My interaction began via text message with Tam and Angus, during which I was explicitly told that Elk Grove Kia would match or beat any deal I had received. I clearly communicated that I had been offered a lease on a 2025 Kia EV6 Wind for $300 per month, 36 months, 15,000 miles per year, with $2,000 down. I also made it very clear that I no longer had the written quote because I had walked out of another dealership due to poor treatment. Despite this, Angus personally assured me in writing that Elk Grove Kia would still match or beat the deal and that the text message itself would qualify as sufficient proof. At no point was I told that the deal was conditional, speculative, or subject to later rejection by finance. In fact, I explicitly asked for confirmation before committing to the drive, stating clearly that I did not want to make the trip unless the deal was genuinely doable. I was repeatedly told "we can make that happen" and "we will beat any price." Because Elk Grove Kia is a two-hour round trip for me, I again confirmed verbally with Tam by phone two days before my appointment. Tam explicitly stated that his finance team was on board with the deal and that there would be no issues executing it. Based on these assurances, I scheduled an appointment and arrived at the dealership on January 31, 2026, at 4:00 PM, fully prepared to lease the vehicle that same day. Upon arrival, the experience immediately began to deteriorate. Tam, who had been my primary point of contact and the individual who made the assurances regarding finance approval, abruptly handed my partner and me off to another salesperson without explanation and disappeared entirely. This was the first clear red flag. The salesperson we were handed to, a recent transfer from Roseville, was professional and courteous and was the only competent and transparent individual involved in this transaction. After the test drive and submission of our information, finance presented terms that bore no resemblance whatsoever to what had been promised. We were told the deal was limited to 10,000 miles per year, with a payment of $570 per month, which directly contradicted the repeated written and verbal assurances made prior to my visit. When Angus finally came out to speak with us, he stated that the original deal was "not possible," despite the fact that he himself had assured me in writing that Elk Grove Kia would match or beat the offer and that the text conversation was sufficient. This was not a misunderstanding -- it was a direct contradiction of documented statements made by management. After extensive back-and-forth, we were presented with a last-minute offer of $3,000 down, 36 months, 10,000 miles per year, and $350 per month, which was still materially worse than what was promised. By this point, the damage had already been done. The experience was dishonest, exhausting, and clearly structured to pressure me into accepting worse terms after getting me physically into the dealership. We made the decision to leave. Only after we were walking out and getting into our car did Angus chase us down to repeat the same $350/month offer, further reinforcing the impression that the entire process was a calculated bait-and-switch tactic designed to wear the customer down rather than negotiate in good faith. Elk Grove Kia prominently advertises that it will "match and beat any deal," yet my experience demonstrates that this claim is misleading at best and deceptive at worst. I took multiple steps to confirm the legitimacy of the offer beforehand, explicitly asked whether the text messages qualified as a quote, and was repeatedly assured that they did. Those assurances were not honored. Tam, who had repeatedly stated that finance had approved the deal, was completely absent once the deal fell apart and offered no accountability or explanation. This experience reflects extremely poorly on Elk Grove Kia's management, sales practices, and integrity. I believe this behavior warrants escalation to Kia Corporate and relevant consumer protection channels. Customers should not be lured into long drives under false pretenses only to be told that written promises from management "are not possible" once they arrive.

I've been trying since 2023 every few months I'll remember to call and leave a message with their business office and they refuse to refund me $217 for this check that lapsed ...it's clearly not about the money , but the principal, I've been instructed to contact corporate as the manager left me several voicemails claiming this would be taken care of ..yet alas .. still no luck ... Seems a bit sus how they're forcing people to hold signs about a 5 star review Thanks for the feedback everyone ! Currently working with a lawyer and local news outlets who have all expressed their dismay and interest in helping correct this unprofessionalism

I'm sure there are other great employees here but working with We opted to subscribe to maintenance services done here so we'd get free tires when the time comes for replacement, but I'm having second thoughts after today's experience and seeing all these negative experiences from others here. Anyway, here's our experience today. We had a 10a appt for accessory installation and our "handler" was not at all interested in our satisfaction. We just bought a brand new car and just spent close to $700 in accessory upgrades and this guy is scoffing at detailing the car, remediating a headliner stain that was there before we bought it and a chip that was found on the edge of the door during the new car inspection. I don't know if he's the best they've got but he sure acts like he is. If you get Mike Choy, try to ask for someone else cus getting work done with him was really really annoying. There's a sticker with a motto "carefree maintenance" applied to the windshield of the car, but I really really don't get the impression that's what's actually delivered. After 3hrs, the headliner spot was still noticeable but I just didn't want to deal with him anymore. I had to insist with the payment department that he walk me through the installation work of the accessories before signing off on it, and even then I had to prod for details. Mike was basically was like: "look, there's your car, bye" Sales is great, finances great, shuttle guy chuck was awesome, but I don't like the service from the accessories installation. With this outlook, I'm Not looking forward to getting regular maintenance done here.

Had a buyer my father in law that was going to buy that day. Pretty easy deal, liked the vehicle had down payment and wasn't too worried about haggle with vehicle price. Came to the first pencil the salesman had his manager deliver, with pretty good credit after doing it app had it at over 17% apr. and 800 a month when the salesman made up a silly 300/month payment on the lot. I've been in sales for over a decade and was always told to not make up numbers outside. Especially if they are over $500 apart! Well long story short, there wasn't any "let's see what we can do" it was ok well good luck! An hour later he bought the same vehicle locally for way less down payment, better price and 7% Apr. If I would have looked at the reviews prior to coming, we could have saved ourselves the waste of time.

Let's get started first experience with them I remember was when I was looking to sell my old Ford Mustang they made me an offer higher then carmax by $2K but we get there they get started on the paper work and after 2 hours they claimed they did an inspection on the car and said there where small rock chips and dents on panels and adjusted the offer to now be 1500 dollars less then Carmax & paperwork was already started so couldn't back out. Not to mention they took close to 3 weeks to get us payed after us constantly calling them due to zero updates or communication from there end! Now for the bad stuff on why you should avoid even taking your ride in for service. I decided to take my at the time newly purchased Viper SRT-10 in to get my driver side window installed they said they could do it so I took it in and after a few days I get a call back to come pick it up, guess what they didn't install it! Just got a bill for a oil change & inspection that had a whole list of bs recommended fluid changes and other crap oh not to mention they used the cheapest oil filters they could buy like 5 dollar bargain bin fram oil filters on a VIPER! 250+ dollar oil change and they can't even install the correct Viper only filter or atleast bare minimum the Mopar ones, nope! "Gotta go cheaper!" Smh So to put it into perspective please if you have any kind of interest in your vehicle and care for it do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I had a much MUCH better experience over at the Roseville dealership. As for EGDCJR do better! I've had multiple cars from all kinds of brands Audi, Porsche, Ford, Chevy, Lexus, hell even heavy equipment servicing for the family vineyard tractors was much better etc and all of those dealership experiences combined do not compare to how bad the service was with y'all.

Even if she was just being kind, I still appreciated it. It showed how much she cares about making customers feel comfortable and valued. When she reviewed my service history, she noticed that I had gone a long time without bringing the car in and had missed several important Mazda maintenance intervals. Still, she stayed completely professional and simply recommended the services I had missed without making me feel bad about it. I honestly appreciated that. She explained everything so calmly and kindly that it felt more like a helpful suggestion than a lecture. Everyone there worked diligently and professionally, but never in a cold or robotic way. They showed genuine warmth and hospitality, which made me feel at home and like I was being taken care of. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt this satisfied after visiting a dealership. The mechanics also did a great job taking care of my car. I think one of them may have been Sam. They sent me a detailed video, about 2 minutes and 45 seconds long, explaining the overall condition of the car. What I really liked was that they used plain English instead of a lot of mechanic jargon, so it was easy to understand what needed attention soon. They also fixed everything I asked about, including a rear wiper arm that kept dangling and the rear trunk interior light. After the service, the car drove so smoothly that it honestly felt close to brand new again. Lastly, when they returned my car, they had cleaned it so well that I was genuinely amazed. I hadn't even asked for the interior to be cleaned, but they did it anyway and made it look fresh again. My car is about 8 years old, and there had been some old Coca-Cola residue in the small gaps around the gear area that had left a brownish stain. I had tried scraping it off myself before without much success, so I really appreciated the extra care they put into cleaning it up. Thank you, Mazda Elk Grove. I'll definitely be coming back more often for my car's maintenance.

Thankfully, I have a BMW dealership in close proximity to my home, so I quickly scheduled an appointment with the service department. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, I was warmly greeted by a service employee (unfortunately I did not obtain her name) who did a soft handoff to service advisor Nijah. Nijah warmly greeted me and proceeded to initiate the check-in process. Since I would need a vehicle to run errands with, Nijah kindly set me up with a courtesy vehicle (2026 X3). Roughly three hours after having my car, I received a call from Nijah informing me that the technician discovered a coolant pipe that needed to be replaced and one of the run-flat tires that had developed a bubble. Being that my car is still within the certified preowned (CPO) warranty, Nijah was going to see if the coolant pipe service would be covered by the warranty. Unfortunately, his contact did not respond in time; therefore, since it was a Friday, Nijah informed me that I could keep the courtesy car over the weekend (yay!) until he received a response. I greatly appreciated Nijah's expertise and overall professionalism. He did a great job of being transparent in his communication and not making me feel like I was pressured to make any decisions. Also, when I inquired about purchasing an extended warranty for my vehicle, he was very responsive in connecting me with a member of the finance team. Before agreeing to sign, I asked about registration. I was assured it was included in the numbers I was sent. Based upon this, I agreed to move forward. I submitted credit app, and was eager to sign. The following day, I was called by the 'manager' (doubt this was gsm, maybe finance, idk), and in reviewing the numbers, was told the payment was 20 something dollars a month more than the written quote I was sent previously. When asked why, the stated that the registration was due and needed to be added to the numbers. I politely declined and referred back to the salesperson who provided original numbers. He reassured me there was some sort of glitch and the payment was not that number (the number he gave at this point was actually $4/mo more than what he initially sent but after the credit pull I resigned to just sign and get it over with). With this reassurance, the manager calls back again, and once again gives the number that is $20/mo more than what I was given, at which point I was done. Not once was there a 'Hey sorry we missed this', or 'I recognize these were not the numbers you were previously given' a 'sorry' ZERO ownership. Just, "So what do you want to do?". I have leased a dozen BMWs from dealerships in both Northern and Southern California and not once has the number I ended up signing varied so significantly from the quote I got before we ran credit. Totally get that mistakes happen but this was very poorly handled. The next day I asked for the name of the individual (manager) I spoke with and did not receive any additional replies.

My husband initially stopped by on his way to work to check out a car we saw online, since my Q5 was totaled last year and I'm finally ready to buy again. Unfortunately, the car had sold the day before, but John (salesperson) was super helpful. He took my husband's info, followed up, and sent over a few comparable listings. One of them caught my eye right away because I loved the interior color. We came in to check it out, and although it was John's day off, Chris stepped in to help us. I forewarned him that my husbands more into the car than I am, I'm not set on it. I looked at both the Q5 and SQ5 but realized they were a bit too small now that we have a newborn and need space for an additional car seat. Chris showed us the Q7 we originally came in to look at, test drove it, but I wasn't quite ready to make a decision yet. We spent the whole day shopping around, and when we came back around 6pm, Chris welcomed us back with so much patience. He showed us the car again, offered another test drive, and never once made me feel pressured. I ended up going with the Q7...and I'm SO happy I did! I went to look at the bmw X3 and other mini SUV's and I kept thinking of this one. I really want to highlight how amazing both John and Chris were. John stayed involved behind the scenes, helping my husband over the phone to make sure everything ran smoothly. Chris gave me the full car buying experience (which I told him I usually leave to my husband!), explained everything clearly, including the engine for life policy, and truly made me feel comfortable every step of the way. What stood out the most was his honesty because he even said he didn't want to sell me a car I wasn't sure about. That meant a lot. I needed that time to step away and compare options, and when I came back, I knew it was the right choice. To top it all off, Chris had the car fully detailed, stayed past closing, and even put a bow on it for photos. Such a thoughtful touch! Overall, this was such a smooth and positive experience. If you're in the market for an Audi, I highly recommend asking for Chris or John here at Elk Grove Audi and you'll be in great hands!

The antenna itself had a large white scratch which clearly was it by something hard enough to pop it off and dent the roof of the car. During the test drive, the alarm kept going off on the screen which now makes sense given the antenna damage. We asked several times throughout the process if there were any cosmetic or structural issues to be aware of, and both Gian and Diego repeatedly said the car was in great shape except for a "slightly warped" chrome grille. None of the other major issues were mentioned. To make matters worse, the car hadn't even been cleaned - it was dirty outside, covered in bugs, and the interior had crumbs, dirt, and fingerprints all over the screen (they mentioned this would be detailed inside and out prior to our arrival). Now we understand why they advertise this car as the "best priced" in the market - it's because it's damaged and covered up to appear like a "great value" on Carfax by marking them as having no damage. I never thought a dealership could be this unprofessional and dishonest. We wasted four hours of driving round-trip for a car that was completely misrepresented. If you're considering the 2024 Tiguan SEL R-Line in black, beware - this vehicle is not worth anywhere near $32K out the door. This experience was deceptive from start to finish.
