Multiple problems, family member brought their Audi in just for some simple warranty work, just for Audi to also recommend a solid 7 or so services they could do to the car. A mileage service was agreed upon, in which they did, as well as charging 150 before labor for an oil change included on a car with over 80% left on tis previous oil change, absolutely insane, other services like an intake cleaning on a low mileage car, that has almost no carbon to begin with, yet they still offered it. They will 100% tell you they recommend a service even though its absolutely not needed whatsoever. Drive farther to somewhere like Richfield, not this dump. read more

I recently purchased a 2025 RS3 from Audi St Paul. The entire process from allocation, purchasing transaction, to delivery went very smoothly. Both Rasethnu Jenkins and Carl Berwald were helpful in explaining the production, transportation, and delivery process, which quickly happened in three months despite this performance model being newly introduced in the US. They were tough negotiators when it came to price, but gave me a very fair allowance for my trade-in. They were quite accomodating relative to installation of add-ons that I purchased, working with my schedule for completion and final delivery. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HEAR UNLESS ITS STILL UNDER WARINTY!! I brought my S4 here after it lost its sensors and power steering, I thought it was an electrical issue, but after they gave me the diagnosis that I paid close to $300, they said it was a steering rack problem. After taking it to a different shop, it was simply a blown fuse and only a $500 fix as opposed to a $5000 fix that they claimed it was. Absolutely do not take your car here unless you will get free service under warranty. I would recommend to a different shop, something like Eurotech located in Woodbury, who were able to fix my car for 1/5th of the price Audi quoted, or other similar shops that focus on European cars. Edit - under this review they told me to contact Brian Fitzgerald. He was actually the one I spoke to when I got went to get a refund. He is one of the most unpleasant people I have met in my entire life preferably I would like to never speak to him again for the rest of my life. read more

I brought my 2015 Audi A5 Quattro in for a scheduled 55k service. That service includes mainly an oil and filter change, air filter and cabin air filter change. The rest of the "service" is just checking tires, driveline, exhaust, etc. The service tech said the car would be done in about 3 hours. Sure enough, the same tech called me just under 3 hours later to let me know the car was done. When I paid the bill, I noticed that labor was listed at $889.95. Since the labor rate is $225/hr, I figured there must be some mistake. They worked on the car for less than 3 hrs, but charged me for almost 4 hours labor! I told the service tech who was there when I paid the bill to have my assigned service tech call me because I was not happy with the bill. He never called me back. The next day, I went to the service Manager Brian Fitzgerald to see if he could make some adjustment to the bill. He declined to make things right. Brian said that $889.95 is the standard fee for the 55K service, and if the mechanic gets done early, I still have to pay the full amount. My total bill was $1122.13. That was for basically an oil change and air/cabin filters. Wow! My suggestion is to avoid having any service performed at Audi St. Paul. Their prices are extremely high, and they do not value treating the customer right. BTW, When I recently got some work done on my Mercedes at the local Mercedes dealership, the labor rate was $195/hr, $30/hr less than Audi St. Paul! Kelly Blue Book lists the 55k service fair range at $292-$487 inclusive of both parts and labor. That means Audi St. Paul charges $635 above the high end of fair. do not take your car here for service unless you have a price estimate prior to your appointment. i took my vehicle in for what i thought was an "audi 75K mile check-up" and an oil change & i ended up paying over $1,100+ dollars in "labor costs". my a3 was in the service garage for 2-3 hours. the grand total coming in at $1,530. beyond the oil change, i have no idea what the "audi 75k check up" actually did for my vehicle, as nothing was explained to me, and there was no further break down of "labor costs" i would highly recommend NOT coming to this place for service. unless you enjoy paying exorbitant prices. i am disappointed in the audi brand. this felt very exploitative, especially considering i'm not very car-savvy. They noted the front brake pads needed to be replaced, however the back brake pads were "like new." Oil change was $75 rather than the Audi fee of $175. Thus, be wary of over-charges at Audi. Totally waste of time. I have purchased a number of cars from other dealers from Toyota to BMW's and Porche's. My experience with the St Paul Audi perhaps is the worst that I have ever had. Communication is unacceptable. The salesman Jerry M accepted an offer but allegedly sent a counteroffer but forgets to send the attachment. I show up to pick up the car for the price that was agreed upon only to get blindsided by a $900 difference. That is affordable for me but it is just wrong to do that. No accountability for the salesman's mistake . Embarrassing and just plain greed to make a few hundred dollars more. Went here for the first time since getting an Audi a couple years ago. I needed an oil change, a rattle fixed in the hatch and a key programmed. I called to make an appointment and was offered several days and times. I was also advised there were a couple of service bulletins out for the vehicle and that they would check on these and make necessary updates when I brought the vehicle in. After the call, I immediately received a confirmation email from the service rep (Tom) with whom I had spoken. I also received a reminder email the day before the appointment. I dropped the car off at the scheduled time and decided to wait the estimated 3-4 hours for the work to be done. The service rep advised the wi-fi password, showed me where coffee/beverages were and showed me a couple different areas to sit, do work and even a small office to use if I needed to make private calls. The rep swung by about 90 minutes later and asked if he could have someone run me out to a local place for lunch or order lunch in for me--a nice touch. The total elapsed time was 4.5 hours, but I was kept informed along the way. Price for the service was exactly as quoted w/ no efforts to upsell or suggest additional "nice to do" items. After wrapping up the work, they washed and did a quick vacuum of the car before handing it over. While this was just one, relatively minor interaction with Audi of St. Paul, I was impressed by their professionalism and customer focus. I will definitely use again. read more

Dealers are frequently dealt a bad reputation, and generally well earned at that. My experience with Jen, Raven and team at Audi St. Paul (ASP) completely counters this reputation. From initial contact, through discovery about the vehicle, to everyone's availability beyond core hours and ultimately through closing has been better than top-notch. Some background may be in order to really give appreciation to the situation. I found a car on an online listing site that ASP was selling. The listing included information about numerous add-ons that. while exotic and top-notch, were ones that I would never spend money on. These are the sorts of things car guys dream about - titanium exhaust system, carbon fiber parts, multiple wheels, etc. When looking at such a listing at a great market price listed, human nature takes over and one immediately starts to wonder what's wrong with this deal? Is it worth the hassle of dealing with a dealer 400 miles away? (spoiler: it was) In reaching Jen, she immediately sent pictures of the additional items, confirmed the vehicle status and delivery, gave a brief history and made herself available beyond the regular dealership hours for any additional questions. Over the span of a few days, we were able to establish a fair trade-in value for my car and a selling price for the new car. The deal was set - but I was over 400 miles away. Distances be damned, Jen and Raven quickly setup all the paperwork, sent requests for various items (credit app, drivers license, insurance, etc.) and processed everything up front via email. The day of pickup I drove the 400 miles, we swapped cars to confirm what we discussed and five minutes later I was signing paperwork with Raven. While in the showroom and before leaving, Jen approached me and said that the extra wheels are too dirty to put in the car and "we'll ship them for you to your home." I was blown away. This extra touch meant I didn't have to pack the car full of 19" wheels and that they would be delivered to my house. Honestly, I can keep going on and on about this transaction as it seemed as a one in a lifetime. But in meeting the staff at ASP, I'm pretty sure this is the norm. I live in California and purchased a new Audi through Maplewood via a broker. Generally I wouldn't review the dealer since I would not usually have any direct exposure to them -- but there were some complications with getting the car registered as well as a cosmetic issue that was discovered after delivery. Although it took a while, I finally got the attention of the manager, Joe, and he quickly resolved all the outstanding issues. They always had an excellent attitude and made me comfortable that they cared about dealing with the issues and getting them resolved. I initially wrote this review with a negative perspective as I hadn't reached the right folks at the dealership. But once I did, the problems were solved. A flawless delivery is always what we want, but cars have problems and dealing with the DMV to register cars is never easy. If those problems turned into mine, I would be disappointed, but Maplewood took responsibility and solved the problems. I can't think of anything more deserving of a positive recommendation than that! read more

I purchased a vehcile form Audi of Saint Paul on the 7th of March. I immediately had reception issues with the satellite radio, and a couple of days later, the check engine light came on. I took it in to the service center and worked with Brandon, who immediately set me up with a loaner vehicle. A few hours later, Brandon let me know that there was a faulty sensor that was causing the warning light, which the dealer covered without problem, however he advised me that I would need to pay out of pocket for the radio repair. I called in and spoke with the GM Joe, who adviesed me that he would see what he could do, and have an answer for me by the time I picked up my car the next day. I came in the next morning and spoke with Joe. I advised him that I had issues wiht the radio right out of the box, and that the only reason that I hadn't negotiated the repair part of the deal was because I couldn't activte the radio untill I owned the car. Joe initially asked me if I felt that spliting the cost of the repair would be fair, to which I replied I didn't feel that it would be as 1) I could get it done at a much better price than what they were quoting me, and 2) I had purchased it in part because it was equiped with satellite radio. Joe was very understanding, and agreed to take responsiblity for the repair. Late last night, the check engine light came on again. I again called the service department and spoke to the service manager (whose name escapes me). He went out of his way to locate a loaner for me (as all of the loaners were already checked out) and made time to repair the issue. while it's certainly been fustrating waiting through several repairs (and infact, I'm still waiting for the radio to be repaired), I really feel as though Audi has stepped up and made a good faith effort to fix the problems that have arisen. read more

I experienced a multitude of issues while taking my vehicle in to be serviced here, I could write a novel about it but I will try to be short. The numerous times I had my car in here was far and away the worst and most unethical service experience I ever had. Almost every time I brought my car in to be serviced some random thing would immediately go wrong when picking it up. It's an older car with 110,000 miles so some things are expected but when it happens 4-5 times in a row it stops being just a coincidence. Some quick examples: I got an oil leak fixed and they forgot to put a part back under the hood, it was very obvious for me to notice it was not replaced. They later admitted that the mechanic broke it on accident and threw it away. They replaced the part but the point is that they tried to hide it hoping I wouldn't notice. Btw, the oil leak was not fixed and I had to take it somewhere else to get it properly repaired. To eventually fix the oil leak they quoted me at approx. $1200 to fix the valve cover. After taking it to another auto shop they changed me just $350 to identical work. I needed a headlight bulb replaced, they quoted me on the bulb but told me it would cost an extra $100 or so (Not sure of exact price or issue) because the socket or something was rusted or something. I took it to the other mechanic that fixed the oil leak and they charged me a flat $40 and said the socket was fine and the bulb will function well. Not a huge saving, but it shows that Audi St. Paul will try to squeeze every dime out of you on top of their premium prices. They will NEVER provide you with a less costly alternative to your problem. They will quote you on the most expensive fix possible and that is it. One day after I picked up my car after one of these quotes my convertible top malfunctioned and froze half way while retracting, it has never done this before in the hundreds of times I've used it. I took it in to have them look at it and said the convertible motor is broken and it will cost roughly $2000 to fix. That sounded outrageous so I did some research and learned you could do a manual reset. I asked them if they tried that and they did not, I asked them to try it and it reset the top and the top has worked fine ever since without spending $2000 on a motor replacement. The point is they did not even attempt the manual reset or even present it as an option. They quoted me $2000 and asked me yes or no if I want to proceed. While they aren't doing anything unlawful I find this kind of practice to be highly unethical. To wrap it up, these were just a couple examples, there are 3-4 more stories of equal lack of confidence that I can post about another time. It is in your best interest to find another place to replace your car. Also, there is an abundance of 5 star reviews on here because they use a 'review funnel.' They send out an email to clients after their service, the link they provide sends you to a review site if you have a positive review but it sends you back to a dealership email for negative reviews. This practice is not against online review regulations but can be seen as an unethical practice in the digital marketing world. But at least they stay consistent with their unethical practices. read more

We went to this dealership because we were seriously considering an Audi Q5 Sport. Really nice vehicle, great consumer reports review. As we were leaving, my husband checked for cars/ pedestrians in the parking lot by looking over his shoulder and using his mirrors and cameras. All Clear. Then BOOM. A service kid from Audi zoomed in behind us and struck our car while he was backing up into the spot next to us. We weren't more than 2 feet out of the spot and were moving very slowly. The kid didn't say anything, ran inside and management came out. They asked if we were ok, asked about the damage. We were ok, no major damage, so we didn't file a claim. A couple days later our insurance company called and they told us the dealership claimed that the kid was laying on his horn to alert us that he was going to hit us. Now, if he had time to do that why didn't he just pull forward? I can tell you there was no horn or any notice. We didn't even have our radio on. We called the dealership, talked to the general manager and he didn't seem too concerned that the service kid lied about the incident. If this happens to you, insist on a police report. read more

Wow. Just. Wow. I have just leased my 2nd Q5. I loved the first car and to be honest, their service department is beyond amazing and a huge reason I leased again. The sales process went smoothly enough,typical back and forth until we agreed on a price. The problem comes after you buy the car. Apparently once they have the money in their pocket, a customer with a problem is just a nuisance not to be dealt with. I've had my car a few weeks, I still cannot connect to Audi Connect. I was told the car would have Wi-Fi when I bought it, which most cars these days these day do, not to mention a luxury car. After the purchase I found out there was no Wi-Fi. Needless to say I was upset about this and told my salesman Bobby. He never contacted me again not even to help me fix my Audi Connect which we were in the process of fixing, supposedly. I have emailed the general manager letting them know. Heard nothing from them. I have emailed Audi USA to let them know. And have heard nothing from them. So I am stuck with a very expensive car with no Wi-Fi and I can't connect to my Audi connect. What do you do when you can't even go to the corporate office for answers? read more

Never returning for an oil change here. Warning for others!!!!! First time I went they forgot to close the intake cover in the engine. I shouldn't have gone back but since they were close by, I gave them another shot. Biggest mistake ever. Took car back for round two oil change. When I dropped off the car the tech asked if I wanted to fix my lights for $700. I told them no. Shortly after picking up the car from the oil change, the check engine light conveniently came on. When I asked them to diagnose the light, they said it was a sensor that would cost me $700. I guess they just had to make that $700. If you don't have extra money to spend at their leisure, I would avoid this place. read more

I was hesitant to drive out to Maplewood ("Oh geeze, this is far," I said to myself), but I am glad I kept an open mind about the varying approaches different dealerships take and the offers they can make. While they are both owned by Carousel Motors, the vibes and pricing at Audi St. Paul were completely different, and, indeed, substantially better, from Minneapolis. This was my second Audi, having procured the first at the Minneapolis location. The staff at Minneapolis Audi gave off the elitist air that they couldn't be bothered with me, were too busy to return calls in a timely manner, they weren't going to budge an inch in negotiations, and that they really didn't need my business. Well, I voted with my feet, and went to a place where my business was welcomed with open arms. I worked with Jerry Miller. Jerry was sharp, smart, fair, and, I believe, honest with me. He prevented me from buying out my car at lease end whose Kelly Blue Book value and appraised value were thousands less than what Audi Minneapolis was insistent was the asking price. Lynn Daleiden, the Sales Manager, was fair with me and made me a strong offer with Jerry. Michelle Rice was a pleasure! More importantly, I came to hit, and Jerry was willing to play ball. To be clear, these are luxury cars - they are still expensive goods. But if you have reasonable expectations and are clear about what it is you are trying to accomplish, I believe Audi St. Paul will be more than accommodating with you and will earn your business. read more
