    Dealership "fake" warranty I was given the day of purchase.

    Hello my name is Micheal d Hernandez Brought my new "preowened" Audi here for a gearbox manufacturing project on the transmission after having the car for only 1 week back in 2023. After 9 months of having my car in shop, they swap the mechatronic unit and gear position sensor. Charged me 7k outta pocket. They did not fix the issue. They had the vehicle for an additional 5 months After charging me an additional 4k for installing a used transmission form the junk yard. The transmission was "locked" and needed to be recoded. I was charged 2,700$ for that, after they realizing the the key fob was not the original key to the Audi S4 I was charged 800$ because the coding could not be adapted to this key and the CPU's did not match not allowing the car to "unlock" out of "safe" mode. They advised me they had to order a special cpu from Germany to unlock the code, After paying a total of $11,000 and waiting one whole year form 2023 to 2024 October. the car still did not go in reverse or 2nd gear . I was told that was the best they could they have "no idea" why it's not not going in reverse after a new mech, unit and new transmission. They gave me my keys and told me to drive it home. Im serous. My name is Micheal d Hernandez. And after 3 years of buying an Audi s4 from a prepones dealership. I was only Able to drive the car a Max of 2k miles. I still want my Audi fixed. I paid 11k for a transmission repair and the thing still doesn't go in reverse or run perfect. It slips out of 2nd gear and goes neutral when driving. I only went here because they told me they could fix it.

    My husband & I bought our new Q5 from here at the beginning of the month. Our salesman was Jeremy Hawkins and, bless him, he was so patient with my indecisiveness of which car to get. He answered all of our questions and if he didn't know the answer, he was quick to get the right answer for us. We never felt rushed or pressured by Jeremy or others. When I finally decided on the car I wanted, my husband took over and the whole buying process went smoothly! I walked out with the exact Audi I wanted and the payments my husband could live with I really enjoyed the whole process and will definitely be back for my next Audi in a few years.     From the time we walked into the door...James made us feel welcomed, he was extremely knowledgeable about the car we came to purchase, and took the time to go through each of the car features. Both Kelly and I are active duty Coast Guard, and upon discovering James is a Navy vet , we felt like we were just hanging out with a "Shipmate". His entire team was instrumental in ensuring we were taken care of....special thanks to Tony and Ms. Lewis for their work on getting us a great price, and out the door. They made sure I was all set before making my drive home by making sure I had a full sized spare tire, when I brought up my concern that there was no front license plate mount they instantly took action to make sure it was fixed for me, and a full tank of gas! I purchased a "Hendrick Certified" Pre-Owned 2022 Chevrolet Silverado from this location. The vehicle subsequently suffered a severe powertrain failure where the engine stalled completely at highway speeds due to a crankshaft circuit fault--an issue explicitly detailed under GM Technical Service Bulletin TSB #24-NA-012. The dealership's service department held my truck for 21 cumulative days for this repair. Despite this extensive timeframe, they failed to permanently resolve the issue. Just 58 days later, the identical mechanical failure reoccurred, leaving me with an unsafe vehicle and forcing me to seek third-party repair services elsewhere to ensure my safety on the road. Worse than the failed mechanical service was the behavior of the dealership's management. When I pushed for a resolution regarding the uncorrected highway safety hazard, the franchise General Manager explicitly attempted to intimidate me by weaponizing my military status and making career threats under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). For a civilian commercial entity to use military law as a coercive tactic to suppress a consumer safety complaint is entirely unacceptable. A formal safety report has been officially logged with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and a corporate ethics case has been opened through General Motors compliance. I am sharing this publicly so local consumers--and our local military community--are fully aware of how this franchise handles critical vehicle defects and customer relations.

For me, every time I have come here has been an amazing, gracious experience. I was sold my car by the dapper C.J. Morris, who is a man that keeps things real. Each time I came in afterward he recognizes me and shakes my hand. Drivers World has a good policy of "price as marked" with no haggling, since their prices are already low. I don't know about that across the board, but my 2010 Hyundai Accent was a great deal. I have had two issue happen with my car since its purchase. The first was when my spare key came in from the Hyundai Mother Ship. We tried it out and it got stuck in the ignition! Samantha, in their service dept., immediately got me a rental and called a locksmith to look at it the next day. My car was fixed up that next day too, the locksmith had to re-cut part of the key. My second issue was when my car suddenly didn't start one day after work. I took a panicked trip in the tow truck to Drivers World where they got me a loaner car that night. They called me in the morning and told me it was the starter. I returned my loaner and they got me a rental; a few days later I picked up my car from Checkered Flag Hyundai. So far, everything has been covered and I always get treated nice there. I had a great buying experience and their awesome service has continued. Hopefully all my visits will be this good.

The only negative thing that I have to say about the experience is that I had asked when we sat down for the loan what percentage the rates started at. We were told they started at 5.25%. My sister has good credit so I wasn't expecting her payment to fall in a much higher percentage bucket. We were good with the price of the vehicle, and the warranty that she added on. However, and this is a big however, until we were signing the documents, did we see for the first time that the loan she was being given was at over 14% APR. This is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of for somebody who has good credit. We wasted no time going over to Navy Federal and securing her a proper loan at a reasonable rate. The amount that Carmax was trying to charge her in interest was more than half of what the vehicle cost with the add-ons. Let that sink in. Do not sign blindly and make sure you understand what you would be paying in interest. I highly recommend getting pre-approved elsewhere for a loan first and not using their financing. You have three days to get a loan elsewhere and have it changed over, but I would suggest making sure you're eligible before you go car broke. We didn't see any of that until half way through signing the contract. Kind of crazy!

    WARNING! Do not buy a Tesla from CARMAX. They will tell you to buy an extended warranty and that…read morerepairs can be done there with authorized Tesla Parts. THAT IS A LIE. CARMAX does not do repairs on Tesla's, they will send you to the Tesla dealership on military highway. Once there, Tesla does not accept third-party warranties you will have to pay for all repairs out-of-pocket with a hope of reimbursement from Max Care. If they approve the reimbursement, it will take 3 to 4 weeks. It's been a cluster bomb. I hope to save someone a ton of trouble and Time.
