    UPDATE: it was time for a new car.. It was such a sad time to replace my car. I was so attached to "Mocha." I bounced between Audi Q7 and BMW X5. Finally went back to BMW. Searching the lot and coming up with nothing at the time inventory was scarce. I continued to service my car. My super pleasant and informative salesman Michael had a great lead on a just traded X5 SUPERB condition vehicle. The previous owners were still in process. Lovely couple, I might add that I had an "extra" car! OKAYY, so Michael made my transaction smooth, effortless, comfortable, and professional. I honestly had no reservations with him as he was so easy to talk to. The car was certified in a day, in 3 days, if that ibdrove off the lot with my new pristine well maintained crazy low mileage X5. Michael taught me all about my ride. He poured his expertise with BMW into my memory bank for YES, the ULTIMATE driving experience. I had a small service today and just could not leave without saying HI to this lovely man. I sincerely appreciate his attention to my details when purchasing my new car. The service area Jason and Jessica are top-notch care reps as well. Caring and polite, which is seldom seen in a car dealership. They keep open the lines of communication when your vehicle is serviced. It's always a pleasure to see them WAY TO GO!

My last rental was a 2021 Toyota Sienna Limited Hybrid with low miles. I reserved the van months prior with them only having one or two in their fleet. The primary reason for a van was to use cargo space for my son's college move-in. Communication was strong from Victoria on a tight timeline of availability. Checkout out of the van encountered an issue with the rear seat that delayed my departure out of town 30 minutes. Ultimately it had to be taken in the garage and roughed up by Victoria who had to break it to fold. So I was told it would not be usable on our family 10 day trip. It was not a deal breaker and we still desired the vehicle. We later needed the rear pop up for friends we made it work. The van performed flawlessly and was extremely comfortable. The gas mileage was a staggering 33 mpg fully loaded. The round trip of over 2300 miles it averaged approximately 35 mpg. This van had all the bells and whistles on it, but ultimately it was the amazing comfort that won out. No soreness after up to 7 hour stretches. The check-in process was smooth by another employee with Victoria in a meeting. They told me an a large adjustment would take place with issues relating to the rear seat. Days later I saw the credit on my card and it was extremely generous and appreciated. I love that Toyota Rental Cars continue to be a 100% Toyota operation with newer low miles cars at a similar price you would pay any where else. If there is one drawback it's hours which have improved. Of course I will return and tell others this is where you go to rent quality automobiles and receive award winning service. They even provided the "Inventory Stock Card" to prove it. When they were getting the car "ready" for us, they were going to check the low tire warning. It was off when we drove away with the assurance that we would get our missing second car key when the plates came in. A few days later, the low tire warning came on again. We found out they had plugged the sidewall which is never an acceptable way to fix a tire. We gave them the opportunity to pay for it. They did not return the call that was left with our salesman for the manager. By the way, there isn't a spare because they are Puncture Proof/Flat Proof. It was $300 to match the tire. Then I was told there was no second key which cost about $150. Last and least, they didn't even clean the car. We found 5 small blankets in the trunk from when they had loaned out or rented out the car. Not to mention the gunk in the oil cap.

My Apple calendar indicated there was a change in my reservation, which I did not make. I contacted Hertz who attempted to gaslight me insisting I modified the reservation. Since I booked a high demand full size suv a day before the prices doubled, they altered my reservation dates then attempted to extort me trying to charge me the full new price, along with a modification charge of $150. I spent 90 minutes arguing with customer service. They finally fixed it but claimed it would not process unless I accepted a $62 upcharge. In return they would offer me an $80 voucher for my next reservation, however I plan to never rent from Hertz again. They are scammers who try taking advantage of their customers to increase their profits. In the future, I will only use Enterprise or Alamo who are way more professional. Be forewarned if you ever considering booking a vehicle from Hertz.

First, I ended up waiting at the body shop for almost 30 minutes for a driver to pick me up and take me to the location. When I arrived, their computer system was all messed up. Multiple customers waiting around trying to get served. Then they didn't have my reservation in the system. Had to get on the phone with the insurance company to get them to re-send the information to the (somewhat messed up) computer. Finally once that all got sorted out, I got into a rental. At that point, I'd been at the location for well over an hour -- so the positive part was that they upgraded me into an SUV which worked out much better for me in the long run since my car ended up in the shop longer than anticipated. Returning the car, however, was a much easier process -- I was in and out within about 10 minutes, and they had a driver almost immediately to take me over to the body shop. So -- incredibly inconsistent in terms of the service I received on both visits to the location. The staff was very friendly though, and they did have a small (if paltry) play area for kids.

Wasn't much of a big deal to me being we had a very minor snow storm. I rented the vehicle for two weeks (waiting on my purchase car to arrive) long story short I got hit with a 450$ clean fee. Called customer service said the reason for the cleaning was bc of dog hair. I don't put pets in my own vehicle nonetheless a rental. Then they came back and said no it was dirty inside...which was a lie just normal foot traffic within the car from getting in and out of the vehicle. I removed everything from the vehicle that my kids had left behind as I do every time I rent from enterprise. This company scams their customers and should be ashamed of how they do business. I don't care how bad you need a car go somewhere else. I am not someone that writes reviews but when a company lies and steals...I become a different person.

So, when I got here and learned I needed to go to a counter, but they had a large fleet of cars and this was a larger airport, I wasn't too happy. But the service was very nice. I prefer to look through vehicles rather than having them select for me. In this case, I have top tier status with National and the guy before me with non status (comment was made about it being first time with National) was offered an "upgrade" and given a vehicle I would have chosen from the Executive Emerald Isle. When I get there, I'm offered a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I immediately said "No!" It took him about 5 minutes, but he found me a mid-size SUV, which is all I wanted. They should reserve the "upgrades" (if that was truly an upgrade the previous guy got) for those of us who rent on such a regular basis we're truly entitled to them based on our status. Then when I went to get the vehicle and noticed the size of their fleet, I realized there's no reason this location doesn't offer the Emerald Isle. I rent from many larger airports as well and many many tiny airports and understand why they need to do counter service versus the Emerald Isle, this location shouldn't have counter service. All that being said, the car was great. The service was fine. And I was out pretty quickly. As for National's customer service, one of the most annoying things is when I write a mediocre review like this they post this typical response: "...we would like to know more about your experience. Please visit www.nationalcar.com/en/support/contact-us.html to contact us. Please be ready to provide the rental location, rental agreement or reservation number and your contact information. Thank you." But they make it nearly impossible to contact them, so it's very insincere. If you want to reach out to me, PM me on this site, rather than posting these canned replies.

    Disappointed that the service is not standard for National executive members nor any National…read morebusiness members where you skip the counter, chose your car (any reserved car in the executive aisle) and drive off (after a quick scan). Here, you have to go to the counter, present all the same info they already have, they had no cars, so they gave me some Mazda suv. Filled out the documentation got the keys and then drove off. Drop off was fine.
