As if you cannot tell from my past reviews, this is the place I tend to spend a fair amount of time and money. I just purchased a new car and needed Arthur to hook me up once again. He needed the car all day as it was a ton of work. I got a double din Alpine receiver with 4 new speakers and my sub from previous car installed. The thing sounds great and you can't even tell he had the dash all torn open. I'm obsessive about rattles and I have to say that there's not a single rattle throughout the car. It's great to know that you can count on these guys' expertise when it comes to anything electrical and audio related for your car. Went there after a nearby competitor screwed up an installation of a Pioneer navigation unit. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, not only fixed what wan't working, but properly adjusted the unit's settings. Maybe the last honest installer left in LA? I brought my 1984 Landcruiser in with a system that had stopped working after I had lent the truck to a friend. It was a pretty bad installation by a place in Van Nuys that was recommended by my mechanic about 5 years ago but it has been working all this time anyway. Arthur pulled it out took a look, still nothing. Then he rebooted it and it was happy as a pig in S**T again! $20 and I was on my way. This is a first for me--writing a review for a business that I've patronized. I've had two recent experiences with Audio Crafters that cause me to say something. Arthur, the business owner, and his nephew Hambik installed a Bluetooth device in one of my cars and re-did a complicated installation in another auto that another business had botched completely. Arthur estimated costs for the two installations, told me how long it would take and guaranteed my satisfaction. He met his promises on all three: the cost was within the estimate, it actually took less time than he said it would, and he ABSOLUTELY satisfied me on all aspects of both installations. He helped get my second vehicle to the store (riding to my house and driving it back to his shop) and insisted that I understand all aspects of each installation before he'd accept payment--a novel concept given some of my audio experiences! His nephew (Hambik) is a competent young man as personable as is his uncle. The two of them work together without saying much but it's clear each knows what he's doing and what the other expects of him. In the next several days, I'll take my motor home to Arthur's shop and once again let him work his magic on that sound system which several other technicians have attempted to fix, always falling short but never bashful about charging a lot of money. Arthur's approach is a throwback: His first concern seems to be customer satisfaction and everything else flows from there. In fact, he discouraged me from buying a more expensive Bluetooth device because he didn't feel the extra charge was warranted. He's all about the customer. What a refreshing experience. My aux was messed up for a couple of months. So i dependent on the radio... boy was that difficult lol. I finally decided to fix it, so i contacted this place and i went in the same day. It took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to fix. I asked him if i should just change the whole radio and he didn't recommend it, he said my radio is fine! Please don't mistake Arthur's laid back personality. He is extremely passionate, knowledgable and a true perfectionist. I love cars and extremely picky about who works on them. Called them to ask if they'd install my radio in new RSX, and have it done in an hour. They said they could take me at 4, but since I'd be leaving for work, that wouldn't do. They then told me to bring it now, and they'd try to have it done by 3:30, quoted me 60-65. (After just calling Al and Ed's where they quoted 85+tax) I brought it over, dropped it off, and got a call at. 3:15 saying it was done. I visited this place months ago in an attempt to install a new stereo system that is compatible with Smartphones on my 1999 Camary. I was greeted by owner's nephew with short, concise sentences (sort of like - here, this, 140 or so, take it or leave it, ok). We briefly discussed over the price and came to the conclusion of installing a KENWOOD(KDC-152) system on my car with a price of approximately 140usd. It took him about 30 minutes to install the system. The stereo system is ok with bad(but tolerable?) radio signals at times and acceptable sound quality (ok?) when switched to aux. But I really can't be bothered. I wouldn't use the word hostile but rather distant/indifferent to describe our interactions. However, he started to behave quiet friendly as I was paying for the bill, which is - ok. If the descriptions above(price range, service, take it or leave it mate, ok) qualifies your standard as a customer then this place is ok for you. read more

I was Al & Ed's Store this pass Friday (8/24/12) getting a quote for a stereo, one that has IPod/IPhone ready. The sells man quoted me $350.00 for a touch screen stereo (AM/FM radio, CD player, IPod/IPhone) plus $300.00 for installation. I thought $300.00 for 1 hours work was insane.
