Audio Help Hearing Center's location on Park Avenue and 86th Street is a find and a true gem on the Upper East Side. The staff is amazing, friendly, accessible, and prompt and most important very knowledgeable about hearing loss and hearing aids. Dr. Jessica Woodson's technical skills are wonderful only maybe surpassed by her wonderful demeanor with her patients. She is kind, patient and truly listens. In my case, her actual patient is my elderly stroke patient mother, but with each visit to Dr. Woodson's office, she has a team visiting, my mom, her caregiver and me. She listens to each of our concerns and addresses each one with warmth and caring, but especially with her great audiology knowledge. Dr. Woodson is always available either in person or on the phone to address any concerns. She happily gives a bit of an adjustment or just cleans the devices when needed. Getting an appointment quickly is the norm of the practice. Our experience has been that Dr. Woodson advises the best hearing devices for my mother not necessarily the most expensive which is greatly appreciated. The prices of the hearing aids at Audio Help Hearing Centers are very well priced compared to other practices we visited. In addition, follow up visits are free, batteries are free; and amazingly the practice was available during the pandemic and they either mailed or allowed pickup of batteries; never allowing my mother to be without sound. I was very impressed with the professionalism and comprehensive hearing exam and hearing aid evaluation I received from Dr. Jessica Woodson. She was able to remove wax from ears, which saved me a trip to another physician, and provide me with new hearing aids in the same day. She even took custom ear mold impressions of my ears to add molds to my hearing aids so that they are personalized for me. I did not feel rushed at all, but was surprised all that we had accomplished once the 1 hour appointment was over. I was not hearing well with my previous hearing aids and, to be honest, I dread going to Dr appointments in general. Now I am hearing much better and actually looking forward to my follow up appointment with her! She scheduled a follow up appointment with me and has checked in on me to see how I am doing since then. I did still have some questions, but she provided me written instructions and even drew some things out for me so that I would not forgot. It is very clear that she loves what she does and truly wants to help others. I would recommend anyone who may be experiencing hearing loss and delaying a hearing test to go see her. I have received a ton of mail from this company over the years, and I finally got around to going to one of their offices. I was greeted by Jessica Woodson who is the audiologist at their location on the Upper East Side. She was very professional, warm and friendly, and took the time to thoroughly examine me - as part of their wellness program. She broke down the test results to me in a way that I could understand them. She was very knowledgeable about my diagnosis and the research that is ongoing, which I appreciated as I have been to several other specialists who would not give me the time of day or told me that nothing could be done. She provided me with literature from a recent study and showed me a video during the appointment. She even showed me what the inside of my ear looked like on a big screen. Although I had no idea what I was looking at, the place is very high tech! I will be following up with my EMT as she recommended and will likely return to her when my condition allows it. I'm incredibly pleased with my new Widex Beyond 440 hearing AND with the exemplary--really "over the top"--service I've received from both audiologists at the Park Avenue facility, Jessica Woodson and Ed Bravo, as well as their assistant, Michelle . . . even the always helpful receptionists. The Widex capabilities--in terms both of distinguishing voices and understanding speech in crowded or echoic rooms, as well as accurately reproducing music (which can be listened to from external sources and directly via iPhone Bluetooth), are so far beyond the capabilities of the hearing aids I was prescribed maybe 4 years ago that, sensorily, one almost feels "reborn"! Any new hearing aid requires a little early fine tuning to best match ones own hearing (loss) profile. In my case, this even included a couple of "walk-ins" when I was passing by. Amazingly, I was always graciously received and given help within a relatively short time. As far as I know, it is the only such organization that provides three home visits with the purchase of hearing aids to those who - for whatever reason - have difficulty getting to and from any of the company's offices. They are great . I have seen Brea and Yasmin on several visits. they make you fee like you are in their living room. Jessica Woodson is absolutely delightful. From the moment I met her when she came out to greet me so enthusiastically in the waiting room, I knew I was in good hands with this young woman. I have tried hearing aids in the past (Leerick), but did not have a great experience with them. My previous audiologist said my ear canals are too bendy. Jessica fit me with hearing aids that are very tiny - no one notices I am wearing them - but have a lot of power! I left her office hearing all sorts of things I didn't realize I was missing. It was a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but the follow up appointments I have had with her have put me at ease. She made changes so they are more comfortable for me. Michelle is nothing less than AMAZING. I am a caretaker and when I brought my patient to her, she never stopped talking about how great Michelle made her feel. She not only was very sweet but attentive, patient and extremely knowledgeable. Her front desk staff were so helpful while we waited and even kept conversation with us after offering us coffee. This business is, without a doubt, one of the worst. Dishonest, unscrupulous, deceitful and flat out liars. They prey upon the uninformed and the elderly and charge prices that are 2-4 times higher than other more reputable places. I too went into their Stamford location and thought they were OK - that is until I did some basic digging and research. They should be put out of business - they are duplicitous and totally unethical. I have been a client of Audio Help for nearly 10 years and can recommend them highly. All of their audiologists have been helpful and professional. They explain the pros and cons of different choices of hearing aids and have been very helpful in ascertaining insurance benefits before going ahead with the actual purchase of hearing aids. Once you have your hearing aids, Audio Help checks them regularly, cleans and adjusts them as needed, and checks your hearing once a year.
