My son went to his place of business for service on his Classic 68 Camaro and wanted to wait with his car. Due to the fact he was a kid; the owner Pat treated him rude while cursing at him. I ended up going down there to see if I could resolve the issue, I explained that my son did all his hard work to his car and preferred to wait with the car. He responded with "I don't know what part of Drop off your husband and son doesn't understand." Then I confronted him about his rude comments to my son and making him leave the building prior to my arrival, he started acting like my son was lying. I reminded him that my son was the PAYING CUSTOMER! He didn't like being confronted by a WOMAN! The conversation was not at all what I would expect from a Small Town Local Business Owner... Pat interrupts me with "Get the F*c* OUT!" So I guess we all know where we stand with that local business owner... he doesn't need the business nor does he care about his customers! Audio to Go is the only place that I have ever done business for my car stereos. The owner Pat has gone above and beyond to find us special parts for our cars. My son had a custom slammed truck, and needed a special box for the speakers, Pat was able to find it and also give us a great deal. They do not have a waiting area for people to sit and wait for their cars, and I am sure if you ask Pat it's a Liability Risk to have anyone in the working area. It's unfortunate that Michele had a bad experience because Pat is a Great business owner, and I will and do refer everyone to him. Went here as a recommendation by my co worker to get my alarm put in. Went there talked to the owner, pat, who was a great guy. I told him what I wanted and he hooked me up. He's straightforward and didn't try to sell me stuff I didnt need. I dropped my truck off before work and picked it up after work with a badass alarm that worked great. Had a 2018 Mazda 6 that I wanted to get some old subs hooked up and after looking at a couple different places I came here. Jarred was really down to earth and hooked up my old subs with new interior speakers. One of my subs was blown out so I bought new ones, a box and some tweeters which were installed flawlessly here as well. This system THUMPS. I came back a few times to have little things tweeked how I like it (I'm pretty particular) and Jarred was always there to make sure it happened. He tried to help me figure out what it was, but in the end it still hummed. I have been taking numerous cars and motorcycles to Pat and his knowledge of car alarms and wiring is outstanding. Doesn't over sell just provides me with his opinions on what I'm looking for. I had a custom alarm (Push button start and proximity door lock/unlocks) installed in a Porsche and he was able to install it without little effort and with total confidence. Installed over a year ago and works like a charm. Had him install new speakers and he did so and went the extra mile with better looking speaker grills and figured that the powered antenna was not hooked up correctly, he did those because it bugged him and no extra charge to me. I had pat wire up my motorcycle with a stereo and speakers and installed keyless ignition switches in two motorcycles and they have been flawless ever since. I would trust him with any installation, actually he's about to work on another project 66 mustang, first stereo and then another custom alarm. read more

My husband recently purchased a new stereo for his truck at Audio to Go. I can't really speak to the value of the stereo itself or the installation cost, as my husband looked into all that himself and believed he got a fair deal. (Personally, I wish he would've taken it to Best Buy as we did that for my car and got free installation.) So this review is for customer service. A day or so after picking up his truck, my husband noticed that 2 knobs were missing off his dash. (a/c and/or other type of knobs) He looked around the floor board and didn't see the knobs anywhere. He called the store and spoke to the owner, thinking that the knobs probably got left on someone's work bench or something. He was told the knobs are definitely in there, you'll have to look around, but they are there. Ok.....my husbands a pretty easy going guy so he said, fair enough, I'll give it another shot to try and find them. So that night he looked again....ran his hand/arm down underneath the seats, etc. and couldn't find the knobs. He called the store back again. The owner coped a major attitude. There was no apology....no sorry for the inconvenience, no sorry we didn't put your vehicle back 100% the way we found it....nothing. He insisted the knobs were there and told my husband, "I guarantee they are in there....this happens all the time and customers bring their vehicles back down and I find their stuff." My husband said it was like a challenge....that it seemed he wanted him to come down there so he could make my husband look foolish, instead of realizing that the truck should have been put back as it was in the first place. He didn't try to be helpful and/or suggest where they could be or anything. At this point my husband got angry and had attitude back. He finally asked my husband, "Well what do you want me to do about it?" To which my husband replied that if they can't be found the owner needed to go down to the junk yard and hunt around and get him new knobs. The owner scoffed at this idea. So, once again, in the interest of solving the problem before it became a major deal, my husband agreed to go on another hunt for the knobs. This time he got down on his knees and put his arm under the seat all the way back to the back of the cab (single cab truck). He pulled the seat up and finally found the knobs in a small crease/crevice on the floor all the way in the very back near the back wall of the cab. They had to have traveled over a hump on the floor under the seat to get there. So here's the bottom line here. The owner says this happens all the time and people bring their vehicles back to him to find their missing car accessories. So here's an idea.....PUT YOUR CUSTOMERS VEHICLES BACK AS YOU FOUND THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. Just a thought. I mean, if your expertise is providing a service, then provide it right and completely and don't force your customers to do the last part of your job for you. Here's another idea.....TALK NICELY TO YOUR CUSTOMERS ON THE PHONE AND WHEN THEY HAVE A PROBLEM APOLOGIZE SINCERELY FOR INCONVENIENCING THEM. Believe me...this type of respectful attitude goes a long long way. The fact that the truck wasn't put back and the knobs were temporarily lost could have easily been smoothed over and forgotten. Looking at the other reviews, and considering our experience, it seems the owner of this establishment has a major personality problem and can't even seem to find a way to pretend to care about his customers or treat them respectfully. For that reason we won't be back. So look, the stereo itself was an ok deal, you provided a decent service of installing it correctly, but you still lost a customer because of your attitude. read more

First things first, my husband was an after-market installer for many years in Napa. He is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to service and installations. We have lived in Vacaville for over 20 years. Audio to Go is the only business we have used. I read other comments that say Pat lacks customer service skills. I have found the complete opposite to be true. He wants you to be happy, he listens when you have an issue, and he goes out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction. Maybe the negative comments come from people who don't like sarcastic humor. True, he doesn't suffer fools gladly. Pat has a dry/sarcastic sense of humor, but I do too, so maybe that's why I enjoy interacting with him. Pat is extremely knowledgeable and talented. Whenever we've had a new stereo installed, he will always take the time to explain the features, and instruct you on the new stereo. So here's the deal. I know this is not the place for social media drama but I'm going to say it anyway. For what it's worth I haven't known Pat that long, so my comments are not solicited. I think the negative comments stem from a business owner who knows good customer service but has his limits when it comes to how much bullshit he will put up with. This guy puts up with a lot of shit in the business he's in, "retail". Having said that my review is based on what I call an agreement between one reasonable person to another reasonable person. For you other people, just because your a "customer" it doesn't mean you can be obnoxious and cocky. Some owners in this world won't put up with that crap, especially if you're unreasonable.
