My wife will tell you that I never get over excited about many restaurants. In general, I feel like the are all the same but in the case of Augustos, they are far from "the same. It is literally the best restaurant I have been to in my life...no exaggeration. In total, I've been there 5 times in the last 5 years. It should be reserved for a special occasion (New Job, Engagement, Birthday, Anniversary, Divorce, First Day Out of Jail, Etc). It is a BYOB and for apps, dinner, dessert and tip, you are looking at $100 - $120. The service is 5 star. There is little turnover and amazingly the wait staff remembers what we ordered months prior. It was the most incredible thing I ever witnessed. The menu is limited but every choice is incredible. The food is prepared like a work of art. You literally want to snap pictures because the presentation is delicious. Oddly the wait staff took snapshot a polaroid of me and wrote my order on the back of the picture....Ahh its all coming together:) Seriously, its a great night out. As previous reviewers mentioned, its a small venue with limited parking. Make reservations a week in advance and look for parking in the church across the street. We went to Augusto's for my birthday with a fairly large group (10 people). Everything was delicious and the service was topnotch. Our servers were very friendly and attentive. We had the onion brulee which was to die for. They really go above and beyond to make your day special. Definitely going back and definitely would recommend to others! My daughter and I decided to treat ourselves the other night and chose to have dinner at Augusto's. I'm so glad we did. We shared the calamari, which was delicious. We couldn't go on enough about the sauces. We both ordered the filet mignon which came with a house salad in a cucumber "bowl." Our filets, served on a bed of vegetable/mushroom risotto, were perfectly cooked and so flavorful. For dessert, it was tiramisu and a mocha cheesecake. The service was excellent and the servers were practicing social distancing and masks; we felt very safe. Can't wait to go back! read more

We went back to Augusto's for the first time since the pandemic. We have always had great dining experiences here and our latest visit did not disappoint. We opted for the $44.00 per person 4 course meals. An amazing value and almost everything on the menu is included. We started with mussels marinara and calamari. My husband said the mussels were the BEST he ever had and he has had them everywhere! The calamari was very good, it needed a little more salt, but I seasoned it myself at the table, the sauce served alongside was great. My husband order the Chicken Piccata. It was two large pieces of chicken, very tender, and the sauce was lovely with lots of capers. It was served with pureed potatoes and asparagus and carrots. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. I had the braised beef short rib with a wonderful cabernet sauce and served with the same sides. For dessert we chose blueberry topped cheesecake and limoncello cake. Delicious! The place was very busy for a Thursday night, but the service was impeccable. The staff is so friendly and efficient and Augusto himself greets you as you enter and makes you feel welcome. We had a group of 10 for dinner on Friday Dec 5. This is a BYOB. You would never know it with the elegant wine glasses they brought out for our wine. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. The service was exceptional. The soups were light and tasty. Just the right appetizer without spoiling the main meal. I had the swordfish. I would highly recommend. Dessert was amazing. Probably the best (insert explicit word for joy and amazement) meal I had in philly area. I started off with the special gnocchi appetizer dish. Taste and texture was delicious. Then the house salad which was dainty and sufficiently dressed. Then the main dish was a generous and tender serving of lamb. Finally finished off the meal with the coconut bread pudding and decaf americano. The dessert and coffee where a happy conclusion to an EXCELLENT meal. The staff was courteous and friendly and extremely prompt. The atmosphere is quiet and the decor was subtle yet sophisticated. Thanks for great food service. Definitely worth the higher prices as they provide good execution to typical dishes with an exceptional attention to detail in flavor and presentation! Just got back and puked my guts up. Went tonight for a birthday, party of 14. I also spent years as a cook, and could not believe this place. So this was my meal. First, when the reservation was made my sister asked if they had a nice vegetarian section. They said yes, but no entrees were veg, they never told us this. The table ordered a number of apps. I had the calamari and shrimp. The shrimp was so so and I'm still chewing the calamari. Then the pear salad arrived, or at least that's what I thought it was. The pear was cut into two hunks and a pile of something. The something was I think smoked duck, but it looked like a pile of my cats' food. I might have wanted to have had the cat food after tasting the duck. My entree was the rack of lamb. It looked sloppy coming out, and got worse from there. Two hunks of three ribs each over a burnt pumpkin risotto, and three over cooked spears of asparagus. One of the rack hunks had a bone broken off. It looked bad. The taste was no better. Bland, no seasoning. Like the chef just took a hunk of lamb and threw it in a pan. No salt, no pepper, no anything. It's a shame, I had heard good things about them, and looked forward to the meal. It seems they have a lazy chef who took no care in what he put in his window. I thought the service was great, but they don't make the food. I will not return, and will tell you not to waste your time and money. read more

This place is literally hidden in a little house in suburban PA. My mom brought me here with our family for a family birthday. What a hole-in-the-wall treasure! The service was super slow, but if you're coming here - you are diinnningggg, as my mom likes to say. You don't even mind too much because you are so busy drinking your BYOB wine and savoring your appetizers. Everything from the appetizers to the salads to the meals which are mostly seafood and meat (steak/lamb) with the tastiest sauces. Onion brulee, artichoke parmigiana raviol.... Amazing creme brulee also. It's a little small and cramped when you first walk in and a little loud since they definitely put the money into the food instead of the decor, but it's totally a great place to go on a girls night out to catch up or on a date. read more

Dined here last night for my mother's birthday and had an excellent experience. The atmosphere here is very intimate, making it perfect for special occasions. First impressions definitely exceeded my expectations. Upon walking in the door we were greeted by Augusto himself and led to our table where they had placed a couple of red roses knowing from the reservation that it was a birthday dinner. I was very impressed by this lovely personal gesture! The rest of the evening followed suit. The service was excellent and our waiter was the best! Onto the food, I've learned over the years that you can generally gauge the caliber of the food your going to be served by the quality of the bread. Theirs was uh-mazing! The loaves came out hot to the table, crusty on the outside and warm, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth, light as air in the center. Seriously could have made a meal from this. Started with the crab bisque, which was unlike anything Ive ever had before. It wasn't heavy and overly creamy like typical bisque, I prefer vegetable based soup and this had just a touch of cream in it. Also had CHUNKS of crab meat not that shredded crab from a can, absolute perfection! The appetizers were just as good, again i could have made a meal from the fresh goat cheese ravioli. At the waiters suggestion, I order the Hawaiian wahloo special with scallops. It was absolutely cooked to perfection. The fish was seasoned perfectly, nicely seared on the outside and tender and buttery in the center. Same thing with the scallops. I was able to try the crab cakes which were 95% crab meat and the sea bass which was also excellent and came with the best forbidden black rice with huge chunks of lobster. So freaking good. They definitely don't skimp on the portion size either. Dessert was Creme Brulee, very creamy and and extra crispy bruleed top! Everything here exceeded my expectations. Yes its pricey, but the high quality of both the food and the service is reflected in the price and this place is worth every cent. You are never disappointed at Augusto's. We went out with friends and had a great meal. This is a little hidden gem of a restaurant in Warminster. The mussels red are the best around. My wife had the special whaloo (Hawaiian butter fish) and she loved it. I had the lobster ravioli and it was amazing. The grouper was substituted for for red snapper which I think is a tastier fish. The food was very good. The place was very cute for a casual night out. However, The manager was extremely rude. When we asked one of the waiters if we could step outside for some fresh air he said of course to use the back entrance and then come back in. The manager then saw us standing out there and said that the other patrons were complaining...we told him that one of his servers said it was ok and his response was.."he doesn't work here" and continued to lock us out of the restaurant. My husband an I ate here a few days ago. The service was great, and the fish was delicious. The side of shrimp with polenta was so over salted, but we should have said no salt. The gnocci were very hard, so not sure if they were made with potato. The meal overall was good, but we I stepped into the bathroom and saw mouse dropping all over the floor, I told my husband we had to go asap. It was so gross. If there are mice in the bathroom, they are in the kitchen. How could they not clean? We were there early, so it wasn't like it was the end of the night. Yuck! read more

What a great meal! I came here with my Mom, Grandmother and sisters and everyone left happy. It's a small BYOB spot with a homey feel. The service was great, everyone was friendly, even the tables around us were nice! My filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare, and my mozzarella soup was delicious ( a special this evening). My Grandmother ate almost all of her beef bourguignon and said it was very tender and she's a picky European. I just moved to the area from center city and my husband and tried this restaurant for our anniversary. We loved the food and the service was great. We were both very impressed and it felt like we were dining in the city. We had the onion brulee appetizer which was fantastic, he had the lamb, and I had a ribeye special. Wow! I love this place! My husband and I went yesterday with our 16 month old daughter. The food was amazing and the staff was so helpful. Per our request, we asked if they could being out our courses as soon as they came up since we weren't sure how little one would be since it was past her bedtime. Loved this place! We were able to get a reservation the day of (however I'd highly recommend not waiting this long) and were sat promptly at our reservation time. The staff was incredibly friendly! We had the spinach and sausage flat bread pizza as an appetizer and it was scrumptious, and a perfect size for two to split. The filet was cooked perfectly, and frankly, of higher quality than other "steakhouses". Also ordered was the Cioppino over the house pasta. While I did not try it personally, my girlfriend was impressed. The molten lava chocolate cake for dessert was scrumptious. Fantastic food, service and management. Can't wait to go back! My husband and I had a reservation (recommended bc it's so intimate and small amount of seating) although it's a small place they don't seat you on top of each other like other local places and that's something I love about this place. We ordered the pappardelle for app it was INSANE so delicious I could eat it for my main course! The started salads were great (Caesar was better then house) for dinner I have the filet (hands down better then a steak house capital grille ect) and my husband has the l Ciopinna both were excellent. Pretentious, overpriced and unpleasant. We (a party of 5) were seated promptly and given menus and the specials for the day, although it was difficult to hear the waiter over the din of the other diners. We were given iced tap water (no choice of bottled waters was offered) and cold rolls with olive oil to wait out the 45 minutes before our salads came out. My Caesar salad was more like a few scraps of lettuce suspended in a glob of thick dressing. It was served in a kind of bread bowl fashioned from a dried curl of bland garlic bread. This pretty much set the course for the rest of the evening. The entrees arrived 30 minutes later. I had a beef bourguignon that was passable but bland, and the vegetables were overcooked. The potatoes were the same mashed potatoes as you can get at a diner. I can't review the desserts, as the salad had turned my stomach enough that I couldn't even think of dessert. The ambience is that of a diner or truck stop, extremely loud and close. None of us could carry on a conversation across the table over the noise. The waitstaff kept banging into my sister's chair as they went by. The dress is very casual. Although it is billed as "dressy" and "romantic", it is anything but. This is a really good restaurant for this area. I would venture as far to say this restaurant is excellent. Food was good,service is good, my only complaint would be price. If your going to shell out this kind of money then go to the city and pay it there. Then you'll have better food and the ambiance to go with it. We had dinner at Augustos Restaurant Saturday evening before Mother's day. We had eaten here before and were quite pleased. This time was not so good. We were unsure what entree to select so we asked for an appetizer while we decided on a main course. The waiter said we must order our entrees with our appetizer. No explanation given. We thought this was odd so we asked another waiter and he said the chef wants to have the appetizer and entrees orders at the same time. I assume for timing. We have dined in many restaurants here in the states and in Europe and have never been asked to group our selections. What ever happened to the customer is always right? What an atrocious experience this was! We were all excited to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday so my sister called ahead to make reservations for fourteen. She specifically asked about vegetarian selections and then called again to speak with the pastry chef about about a birthday cake. The menu offered two or three vegetarian appetizers but NO vegetarian entrees. When we asked, we were told we could have pasta primavera. Carnivores enjoyed a wide selection of dead animals to choose from but we were being thrown lame pasta primavera? They may as well have told us to get the hell out. Honestly, we would have been best off doing just that but this was a birthday dinner and we could hardly have asked that of our dinner companions. Had we done so, had we somehow convinced everyone to leave, everyone would have been much happier in the end. At the offer of pasta primavera my face clouded into anger and and my niece's with disappointment. My sister stated that she had specifically asked about vegetarian selections when she had made the reservation. I seriously considered running out to Altomontes Italian Market , just around the corner, but they were closed as that hour., The nice gentleman checked with his chef and reported that something would be made for us. Good. But now I was angry and insulted so the celebration had been derailed. I began drinking wine in quantity. It was BYOB so the wine was quality. I had the goat cheese empanada as an appetizer and it really was quite good. My nephew, sitting next to me, couldn't stomach his jumbo shrimp. I was told the calamari were rubbery. The teeny tiny house salad of mixed greens wrapped i in a circle of cucumber was also tasty. But the vegetarian dish that had been made just for us was a disappointment. I can't recall what it was called but it was vegetables were wrapped in a pasta with some sort of tomato sauce on top. I was hungry so I ate it. My niece took a few bites and gave up. My brother was annoyed just looking at his lamb dish and you can find his review here on Yelp. As I mentioned, my sister had spoken with the pastry chef about a birthday cake. Somehow the chef had talked her out of chocolate. Who does that? Chocolate is wonderful. The cake had a nice, dense, wedding cake texture but it was a tasteless white cake layered with an unimaginative chocolate ganache that tasted exactly like the mid grade chocolate chips used to make it. I may as well have just eaten the chips from the bag. The icing, was a pretty purple but was a terrible sugary disaster. I imagine a child would have enjoyed it. The coffee was made from a low quality, pre-ground bean, released a tired aroma and tasted of dull mud. I will never return and recommend you avoid it, too. read more

This neighborhood gem is fantastic! The food, ambience, service, variety, etc all top notch! The base menu has many outstanding choices and there were several great additions to the menu as well. I ordered the pork osso bucco which perhaps was the best I ever had and my wife had the crab cakes which were top notch. The desserts are home made and outstanding.
