    Shrimp and Wing box
    Daniel M.

Today is Sunday. I ordered within the first hour of them opening. The food here is absolutely positively some of the best in Dallas. The golden batter is like heaven on a plate. The shrimp and wing box was massive. Wings so good they didn't even need the lemon pepper sauce that it came with. The shrimp was addicting. I found myself regretting not getting an additional order of shrimp. (I will next time). The order came with a side of 2 pieces of well seasoned Cajun flavored corn and potato pieces that were covered with a hefty amount of cheese. A Dallas gem for sure.

I can't tell yall how good the food is because it is now 4:30 and it's been an hour waiting on food Now it's 4:34 still no food and not being accommodated while other people are comming in and out with their food

Never go wrong here. Black box is always my go to. I also had the turkey necks. Meat was so tender and seasoned

I have been waiting to come here for quite some time and try out the black box. Got here after work and the black box was sold out so we went with the crab boxes. We ended up getting the last of the crab and it showed. After our order they were sold out of all seafood. The flavor on the crab was really good and the butter sauce it comes with was so delicious. But the crabs were small and not the best quality. However, I enjoyed the sausage, corn, and potatoes it came with as well. Service wasn't the best but I'm just going to assume it's because we went after work and they were basically getting ready to close within the next two hours. I will say, I plan to come back and try way more items because the seasoning and flavor is on point.

Do not worry about the expensive price because you're going to get your money worth one plate feed three. Food is cook to order, fish was crispy and hot, and wings well seasoned. I've been to Aunt Irene several times and will definitely go back. P.s. great customer service

There is minimal seating. Cozy neighborhood eatery but the food is fantastic.. seasoned served hot and fresh. You walk up to the counter place your order and receive an order alert. The fried shrimp box was delicious, the shrimp are collasoul, buttered texas toast the cheesy potatoes were cooked soft. Cheesy and delicious the side of corn boiled sweet with that old bay OMG The wing and shrimp box was just as good if not better, the wings are whole big wings. The lemon pepper was spot on. We were visiting the Dallas area and this spot was on our list of local places to visit and I'm glad we did.

Believe the hype y'all! Aunt Irene's is the best Cajun/creole food spot in Dallas. I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. EVERYTHING is so good!! The flavors are bold, soulful & unique. If you love flavor, then you'll love it here!!! Besides food, it seems always busy but there's never a long crazy wait and the hospitality is always great. What I also love about Aunt Irene's is how vast & diverse their menu is. There is so much to choose from, and all of it is good!!! You must try it for yourself, if it sparks your interest.

What is the best day to go, we drove down today and it was so packed we just left?

You have to take your chance with the rest of the folks waiting in line.

So you guys take phone orders and then we just pay and pick up?

I've tried calling in the past and no answer. I think they only take walk in orders. The wait is really not that long and it's worth it, even on busy days.

What time do they close on fridays now that covid is around?

    9pm

    What is the phone ni?

    (469) 899-7927

The ambiance, the attentiveness, the service and the food were top tier! Our server, Eric gave us some amazing suggestions. The appetizers were both absolutely delicious. The entrees and starter bread were wonderful too! Even the cocktail he suggested was on point. The restaurant was large and inviting and quiet enough for easy table-talk. Managers stopped by and chatted with us about our visit which was another plus along with the warm hand towels between courses! UPDATE: I received a call today regarding our visit last night! WOW! I made a reservation and placed in the notes the occasion. The preparation and attention to detail was so appreciated. The food was good. In total transparency, the King crab was a bit over cooked. I believe this could be a one off situation because I have had crab here before that was perfect. Although I did not make a huge issue of it the brief mention of it I made to Dawn, my impeccable server, caused her to relay the dissatisfaction. Once the Manager, Deshon Ford, was made aware he truly went through great lengths to make sure I felt appreciated and the concern was addressed. Maggie was also a warm welcome and a delight to encounter. This is what was ordered: King crab: 7/10 the precut of the shell is very helpful. It did not have the natural sweetness I normally experience. The squeeze of lemon does wake up the flavor a little bit but the cook process did not afford the tender luxury as expected. The lemon butter sauce is good but could be great if using clarified butter with minced garlic and a hint of seasoning was considered. Crab fried rice: 7/10 the presentation and the way it was assembled is great. I also like the ingredients. I could not tell if there was crab throughout. I did see the pieces of shredded crab sprinkled on top. This would be a 10 if it was seasoned a bit more to wake up the palette and there was visible lump crab mixed in throughout along with brown butter. Meatball appetizer: 10/10 I could tell the quality of the meat is high. The ingredients and seasoning is on point. They were perfectly cooked. Still tender in the inside and a crisp on the outside. The sauce on top brought the flavor to a well rounded party in your mouth. Natural chicken: 12/10 I tried a few bites of this meal since it was not what I ordered and it was the best meal of all. The chicken was so tender, delectable and excellently cooked. The potato mixture and the capers are well paired and oh sooooo goood. Bread roll with fresh Parmesan:10/10 So fresh, fluffy, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The light and fluffy Parmesan sprinkled all over the top elevates the bread to the clouds. The fresh whipped butter is also a great element of flavor with every bite. Mediterranean salad: 8/10 I was thinking this sals did not come with lettuce. The crab, olives, feta, cherry tomatoes, and calamari are a great pairing. The calamari was a bit chewy. All of the other ingredients are good. I think the dressing could use more depth in flavor to help incorporate such good ingredients. Whalla: 10/10 this drink was so lovely and well balanced. A thoughtful mix of ingredients.Loved the smokey presentation.
