Auntie Anne's visited our neighborhood to serve their famous pretzels. The service was friendly and the pretzels were prepared to order as not to be cold or old. The pretzel bites and large pretzel was soft, warm and had just the right amount of salt in each bite. They also offered cheese dipping sauce. The lemonades were fresh and sweet with a hint of tartness.

If you like pretezels cooked like this, this place is for you.

AVOID this location like the plague. There should be a Zero Star rating for this place. We were just there (4/14/2021) and ordered a regular original pretzel nugget and a regular cinnamon sugar pretzel nugget. The cinnamon wasn't ready and was told a 7 min wait and they will call out our name when our order was ready. Fine. While we waitied we tried to eat the pretzel nuggets and they were all burnt on the bottom. We kindly asked for a new batch and was told that's how they are all baked. Wow really. No other Auntie Annes we have ever been to served their food like this. We ended up waiting 20 mins and noticed other customers were served cinnamon pretezels. When we asked where was our order they said, "Oh here it is." Never called out our name. No apology or nothing. We were very kind and not rude in anyway. Sad that this location has to be like this.

Well, after watching The Office episode where it was Pretzel Day, I decided to Door Dash some Auntie Anne's. The two reviews on file almost deterred me because - they were obviously not great experiences. However, I pushed through because pretzel day was just too tempting. I am pleased to say that what showed up to my home were warm, cinnamon and sugar covered pretzel nuggets accompanied by a sweet glaze sauce. They were exactly what I was in the mood for. So I thought I'd come here to at least offer a different experience than those that have been shared. I can't imagine Auntie Anne's could have done a better job with my order.

What a great place! Came here for a World Cup watch party on…read morea Monday night. It was mostly empty as it turned out but that meant we were able to get prime seats at the bar in front of the tv. The array of German bier offerings is exceptional. I appreciated the lower alcohol choices as well. The interior is, as the name implies, like a small beer hall, with long tables for gathering with new friends. Also ideal for putsches. The outdoor seating is a strong point. Serene, softly lit and spacious. The bartenders were business like friendly, they really don't want to hear your sad stories. The only downside was that they quit serving beer at halftime of the game we were watching. The game that went into extra time and on to penalty kicks. So we sat there for an hour and a half, thirsty, pockets full of unspent cash, watching the game while the neglected taps mercilessly mocked us. It honestly seemed baffling and inane beyond belief. Still, looking forward to a return trip when they're more willing to part with their delicious brews.

While they offer pale lagers they also go deep into other German styles like bock, Dunkel, schwarzbier, and the whole spectrum of German-beer. They offer German food that historically pairs with beer. I've always enjoyed the appetizers. They have a happy hour from 4-6 p.m. In the winter they usually run a special where you get a discount for sitting outside in the cold. I've done that a few times. Their calendar is always chock-full of events, so I recommend checking out their social media accounts to look for something fun.

All good things…read more.. We were invited to an impromptu event to taste the new additions to for the Menu when they reopen. They also were 'blowing the taps' which meant we get to try many of the beers that they were saying good-bye to. So, a little story. I was one of the first to wander into a place called Brew Lab years ago. I actually found the place because of looking for brewing supplies. There were a good amount of tools here but also these folks were serving their beer! So, what a great idea. I bought some grain... and had a few beers! I visited this place a few more times on the regular. Suddenly one day there was appetizers. And had the most divine pretzel bites that have ever existed. Next time was an amazing club sandwiches. And some pulled pork. All of the food has always been great bar food. And then there was the beer. So many delicious beers each time. Too many to try at once. But, that is all memory lane... Now... here is the news! Brew Lab is changing. The ownership remains the same however they have given up the brewing. They will have a few of their specialty beers that they keep on tap but they will have a lot more taps of beer from other breweries. On this visit they brought out a large amount of samples of the food that they will be adding/altering in the menu going forward. There were a lot of really delicious items and I am excited for when they have the full menu and I can order some of them. Most notably I am excited for the Catfish Po'boy sandwich. We will be back soon to try the all new... Tall Boys. Look for that review coming soonish!

This was my first time and I felt like I knew these people or they were family. They played with our daughter, brought her food and toys. Amazing. THEN you talk about the food. It…read morewas truly an experience eating here, and it's the perfect date night spot if you want a quiet, cozy, and intimate dinner! Since my bday was on a Fri night, parking was a bit of a challenge in downtown KC, and I really suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early. As soon as we got in, the staff greeted us (all wore casual t-shirts matching the restaurant feel). The vibe inside felt modern and bit rustic with German-inspired articles displayed near the entrance and front side of the restaurant giving it an overall homely feel - nothing too basic and nothing very fancy. As we walked towards our table, I saw my free bday treat kept on the table - fresh apricot cream and blueberries dessert with a little "Happy Birthday" chocolate and candle. I loved seeing it right away instead of at the end, and it was perfect for a diabetic lol giveeeee me fresh fruit with cream any day!!!. The waitress greeted us warmly, went over the drinks and appetizer menu, and even wished me happy birthday in German - Loved the authentic touch. I was honestly mind-blown by the selection of non-alcoholic drinks at this restaurant - I was practically jumping with joy. They had everything from alcoholic and non alcoholic wines, beers to cocktails and 0 sugar herbal sparkling waters. I chose the herbal sparkling water, and my husband went for 2 alcoholic cocktails - Armchair Expert, which had cognac smoked to perfection with a rich flavor, and the Orange Boulevardier, a bourbon drink with an orange flair. Appetizer - we ordered the half charcuterie board, which came with a variety of cheeses from nearby farms, smoked pig liver paste, salamis, prosciutto, some pickled salad, German mustard, and house bread. The charcuterie board was fun to try because we got to explore different flavors, and the smoked liver paste was spectacular and my favvvv. I thought the house bread could have been better (were a bit dry and hard), but overall I was very happy with the appetizer. Soup - Igot a soup for myself called Suppe von Wald und Wiesenpilzen a vegan, tasty, hearty mushroom soup that will leave you surprised and make you wonder why creamy high calorie mushroom soups even exist lol. Main Course - I chose the Gegrillter Barramundi which came with perfectly cooked wild rice and mushrooms, and my husband went for the Hirschrücken unter Pekannusskruste - a venison steak with apple bread dumplings. Both dishes were very unique - the barramundi was grilled to perfection and beautifully plated over the veggies and wild rice, and the venison steak tasted divine with the huckleberry demi-glace bringing sweet and savory flavors together. To end this heavenly meal, we got the same dessert, finishing the birthday evening on a sweet note. The restaurant is also priced well for the fab dishes they have. One suggestion I would give is to have a chef accomplishments wall inside the main dining area walls, because when I went to the restroom I saw all the amazing certificates and news articles the chefs had earned. I would have loved to learn about t during my dinner experience. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!
