I ordered the seasonal latte with coconut syrup and oat milk, and it was delicious. The coconut flavor was subtle and complemented the espresso perfectly. I also tried the smoked salmon croissant. The croissant itself was flaky and flavorful, although I could have done without the poached egg, especially since it was served cold. The pastries were a highlight! The citrus tart was fantastic and reminded me of a key lime pie with its bright, tangy flavor and beautiful designs. I even brought a few pastries home, and they were just as enjoyable later. One of my favorite parts of the visit was enjoying breakfast on the patio while people watching in Kingfield. I also had no trouble finding free street parking right across from the patisserie, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great breakfast spot with friendly service, delicious coffee, and excellent pastries. I'd definitely come back!

The staff was friendly and welcoming in spite of the waiting crowd. We took advantage of the Bogo and enjoyed the banana cream and lemon meringue pies. The banana cream was yummy with fresh bananas and whipped cream. The lemon meringue was tangy and delicious. The CRUST on both was sooooo good. Real crust that stood up to the wonderful abundant fillings. The ham and cheese popovers were delicious and flavorful the next day. We'll be back for the key lime experience!

The biscuits and pie are always very good. Mini pies and by the slice satisfy the sweet and savory fixes for the week. This past weekend, I tried a new lox biscuit that had recently been added. It was delicious! Coastal Seafoods in a few doors down. I don't know if that's where they source salmon. It was silky and tasty. What really impresses me are the eggs. They are perfect! Sunnyside up with a crown of egg white cradling a perfectly runny yolk. These are so consistent. Staff are very friendly. You order at the counter and they serve you at the table. My neighborhood is a few blocks east. But Snelling and Selby Avenues are St Paul's own little Eat Street. The news that Groundswell in the Midway neighborhood was very sad. If you are looking for a similar level of deliciousness, head down to Hot Hands.

I later on found their products at Target nearby my house. Yes it is pricey but I need to get joy somehow out of being at an airport. Wandering around I found a large number of treats I wanted to try, amazing looking truffles, chocolate bars, cocoas, loaded rice krispie treats, gummies, caramels, brittles, and more. I wanted it all! Alas, the price was a bit high for each of my desired items so I narrowed it down to a box of the truffles from behind the counter and a couple of rice krispie treats to take home. I still dropped quite a bit of money, but I don't mind splurging on sweets now and again. I waited until I got home back in Michigan to sample my treats and they while they were good I'm not entirely sure they were worth the money I spent. The rice krispie treats were huge but really heavy on the marshmallow, so that made them *very* sweet. The truffles were also so huge I had a hard time finishing one, and I very much have a sweet tooth! My husband was shocked I couldn't polish one off. I also had a hard time really picking out the flavors that they described in the truffle descriptions. It just felt like a plain ol' chocolate center. They were good and beautiful but not particularly remarkable flavorwise to me. For gifts, however, this place is stunning. A box of truffles is beautifully packaged and look even more lovely. Their goodies also make a great small snack while traveling. Just not sure I'd splurge on so many of them for myself again in the future.

Bacon was thick but next time will ask for a bit crunchy. Hashbrowns were browned crispy. I had pancakes added for a small price as pancakes and french toast is a specialty they are known for. Light and tasty and they have "MN maple" which was delicious. I will come back again and try a Mexican breakfast burrito. I feel like that is going to be my go to. Counter service was excellent. This is an order at the counter place, but staff is very helpful in explaining how it all works. I got a breakfast burrito and it arrived super fast. It was also big, stuffed full of beans, cheese and hashbrowns, so it kept me full all afternoon. The salsa on the side was tasty and has the kind of heat that sneaks up on you a bit. That just got me to get a glass of water in addition to my coffee, which was excellent. There were lovely looking pastries in the case but I resisted this time. I think there are 3 rooms, lots of wood on the walls and in the booth construction gives it a cozy feel. The all gender bathrooms are spotless.
