This location was right outside of the store we were shopping and my son LOOOOOVES Auntie Anne's (as do I, shhhhhh lol) so we both got a little treat. The place was very clean and the young lady behind the counter was very courteous and polite. She quickly greeted us, took our order, served us with a smile, and we were on our way. What more could you ask for?! However, I have two minor issues with this location; hence the four stars. First, is that this location does not have the jalapeño pretzel (yep, this girl likes it hot). Why they don't offer it? I'm not sure. One kind of expects/hopes for the same menu as other locations. So instead, I opted for the roasted garlic Parmesan with a bottled water & my son got the cinnamon sugar & a frozen lemonade. Second, is that my pretzel only had seasoning on the bottom half which, of course, was an overload and not very pleasant to eat. If we end up at this location again in the future, I will remember to ask that they please evenly distribute the seasoning. ;) read more

I actually like their products. The laminate, I mean lemonade (but you could use it to laminate I bet), is pretty tasty even though it gives me a bit of a sore throat. Probably from all the high fructose corn syrup really - they should do some real sugar instead. Or honey! Honey lemonade. Now there's a concept. The pretzels just don't do it for me. They never really did but especially now having tried the stuff at Reading Terminal Market and even Closer by the Dutch Village Market in Upper Marlboro Maryland. So yeah. Before you poo poo over my five star rating on a longstanding food court fixture, you should know that my scale is based on comparing location of franchise X with my collective life experiences at all other franchise X's I've ever been to. After multiple visits at various Auntie Anne's, I can honestly say the one within the Springfield Mall, specifically the one on the ground floor, makes the best version of their soft pretzels I have ever had. I pretty much want no part of Auntie Anne's anywhere else because it always ends in disappointment. You know how in Spinal tap the volume dial goes up to eleven instead of the usual ten? These pretzels exceed the utmost upper limit with a solid eleven in terms of flavor, texture, temperature, and critical balance of salt and butter. I'm convinced that it has less to do with the cheap labor with high turnover, but must be some special fryer in the back regularly refilled with unicorn oil or a final dusting with cocaine infused salt crystals. If the most interesting man in the world does not always drink beer or eat soft pretzels, when he does he would have a Dos Equis in one hand and one of these Auntie Anne's pretzels in the other. read more

There is no greater pleasure in life than an Auntie Anne's Pretzel. Springfield Town Center is such a believer in this that they have not one, but two locations! It is one of the few remaining businesses leftover from the reconstruction earlier this year and I am glad for it. I always fancied myself a pepperoni pretzel gal with a marinara dipping sauce but a recent free sample has made me a true believer of their cinnamon sugar with icing on top. If you are lucky you get a free show with your snack when they roll out the dough in front of you by hand. It's not as easy as it looks - - believe me I've tried at home! Used to be a good place to get pretzels. We've been overseas for so long and craved Auntie Anne's. Its too bad we got a disappointing experience. All we wanted was a large plain pretzel nugget. The cashier made it sound like a hassle. He suggested salted ones will be out in 2 minutes. I said no I want plain nuggets. With some sarcasm in his voice he said it will be out in 5 minutes. So he suggested ordering 2 large and I just said yes because my kiddos were craving them. Just wasn't impressed because it's not the friendly customer service that I'm used to getting. I love Auntie Anne's pretzles. But I recieved terrible customer service for the 1st time. I was not annoyed with the fact that the 2 employees could not handle helping the 3 customers in line.....until the kid (young man) behind the counter handed me my drink and I said thank you and in his annoyed toned he replied "yep". I may have not known what was going on in his day but treat others how you would like to be treated.....and now I am Yelping about his terrible customer service. Please schedule employees that can handle a "busy" crowd... or if someone is having a terrible day, let them go home...because that is what is going to cause a company to get a bad review. read more
