The store is consistently slow and always behind because of poor management. The reason I'm writing this review: I spent 35 minutes waiting, only to find out the order I came to pick up hadn't even been started. Multiple employees asked for the pickup name--more than once--and after I gave it, there was no response, no communication, not even a simple "we're working on it." This was a mobile order, which should have given the store extra time to prepare before I even arrived. During those 35 minutes, I watched multiple waves of customers and DoorDash drivers come and go while I still hadn't received anything. After that long, I wasn't going to stick around. When I first arrived, there was only one customer and a small group who had already been served. There's no reason a simple order--a small cup of vanilla ice cream--should take 35 minutes. This isn't a one-time issue. It's the worst it's been, but delays are common. The employees still get paid hourly, but delays like this directly affect drivers' earnings. Waiting 20-35 minutes is not okay. Also, the paper ticket system clearly isn't working--orders get lost, handwriting can be unclear, and there's no consistency. Don't apologize--just do better.

We entered the cool shop and she showed me the vegan and lactose-free flavors. In sample cups, she dispensed the three flavors that I could tolerate: Green Tea (lactose-free) Vegan Soy Heath Bar Watermelon non-dairy sorbet They were each good in their own way, so, I filled my cup with all three! Then, we headed over to the toppings bar. I got the strawberries, black berries, kiwi, mochi balls, and popping boba! Ooh! Fun! At the cash register, our cups were weighed. I'm guessing the worker was new, but the customer service was just very off. I would give him a certain detail of the cake, he would write it down, and then there were just long awkward pauses where he would just stare at me and not say anything else to me. I had to repeatedly ask if he needed more information or if I could pay now, but he would just continue to stare, and then just when I thought everything was finished, he would finally ask another question after a significant delay. It genuinely took a while, and it was just a strange and draining process. I was also given wrong information after all that waiting. One question he asked me was what size heart-shaped cake I wanted. He told me the sizes, and I responded with 8 inches. Later on, another worker came over to ring me up and asked me what size I wanted. I told him the first worker already wrote down 8 inches. I was then told that 8 inches isn't even an option for a heart-shaped cake. It's always great to train your workers more, but I think it would also be really beneficial to have a form asking for the details required to order a cake. That way, the customer can fill out the details of the cake themselves! It really would have saved a lot of my time and made the entire process much smoother. It gives me such anxiety and stress, that I have twice got my food to-go and left. One time before it was even served. First visit, I tried and failed. Second attempt 10 years later, I didn't even make it to the ordering before it got to me. It's just too much and I'm not accustomed to such large areas. It really weirds me out for some reason, even I don't fully understand. So if you happen to have any similar issues, then order to-go like I have a couple of times before. That's usually okay. I will say, that some of the interior is very nice-looking. It resembles a cathedral almost. But it's not fancy by any means. It holds up a facade of being so, but they have a "macaroni and cheese burger", so they cannot by any means, carry that sort of image without a few laughs being given in return.
