How can I miss a taste of Philly in my own backyard?! This spot is a great little nod to the fresh made pretzels of good ol Philly. I got to chat up the attendant at the desk and she was extremely helpful letting me know about the options and when the next fresh batch would be out! I ordered a bag of 5 along with a spicy mustard, buttercream, and hot nacho cheese dip cups. Each of the dips paired nicely, but I would reserve buttercream for an unsalted pretzel. The salt + sweet were a hard pass on the tastebuds, but definitely worth a try! The hot cheese has a nice kick to it and the mustard was just right on the spice. I liked these pretzels. Not overly salty or greasy. the guy LOADED the box up and i got to enjoy them for a few days. Kept them in the box and would suggest wrapping that in a bag or big Tupperware. I have eaten at 2 or 3 different locations of PPF. Without a doubt, avoid the airport ones, they're not good. Downtown Philly, fantastic. In Virginia Beach, they are just as good as downtown. They prepare the pretzels in the facility, they are frozen and imported. When I walked in they wee giving out samples of pretzel cheesesteak. It's a round mini pretzel with little chopped steak and white cheese inside. They're so small that I could easily take down half a dozen or so. I got a salted with honey mustard to start. Hot, fluffy, not too much salt, and incredibly crispy. And the mustard and honey are so well balanced, I would use that dip with chicken fingers and french fries too. Second, I asked for an unsalted pretzel, which they made, it took about 5-10 minutes. I had that with the cinnamon dip. It was about the consistency of a struesel going on a cinnamon roll. Fantastic. They do have a butter cream dip as well, but I can't imagine going away from the cinnamon. There are two additions that would help. One is if they have a breakfast menu. I know they have it in downtown, but I can just salivate over the idea of a soft hot pretzel bun with bacon or sausage with egg and melted cheese! And also, how about a pretzel dog without the American cheese on the inside. read more

The customer service here is phenomenal. We were greeted as soon as we entered and even chatted up with both staff members as we waited for our order. They told us about their catering and even gave us a discount card if we were to order. I really appreciated the friendliness to my children as well. They felt included in the conversation. The pretzels came out hot and fresh. Very fluffy inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. Their nacho cheese sauce was a great pair. It had a very small kick to it which I always love. Been past this location a few times. We're on a pretzel kick so we swung by. Staff was patient and friendly. We got Philly bites, cinnamon sugar nuggets, and some regular pretzels. The Philly bites were underwhelming. Really dry and too expensive for only one bite. The nuggets were good. The dips were fantastic. Buttercream not too sweet and the cinnamon sugar was smooth and flavorful. Recommend the buttercream if you're debating between the two. Hope to try brownies batter or salted caramel next. I stumbled across an advertisement for these guys on Facebook and decided that I had to have pretzels right then! Called, sold out. Super bummed! That should tell you how good they are right there! Called the next day, had a great conversation with the owner, and placed my order for pick up. 50 pretzels (don't judge, we delivered some to our huge family), and four packs of dips. The place is small, but clean. The owners are super friendly. They're from NY so the pretzels resemble that taste (my favorite!)! Everything is made fresh there. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. These pretzels were no joke! So good! And it turned out that getting that many ended up being perfect since we went through about 15 in the first 30 minutes. (Quarantine calories don't count!) They do a random special, 25 for $10, which is a pretty awesome price, while blowing other pretzel places out of the water. You can't beat the deal or the taste! Perhaps if I hadn't been addicted to Auntie Anne's pretzels already I wouldn't have gone in with the impression all pretzels are like AA's. These were crunchier that other soft pretzels I'm used to. This was my first time coming here. My mom and grandma were hyping it up so much so i decided to try it. I was hesitant at first because some places make the pretzels way too salty. But she let us try one and i'm glad she did because i would have never known if i should spend the money or not. The owner is a very nice man and keeps his store clean and appealing. He was welcoming and wholesome. We got cinnamon bites , cheese steak bites , and the pizza pretzels. The cinnamon ones could use a little more cinnamon but they were pretty good. They have a good selection of dips to choose from for the bites. Next , the cheese steak bites were pretty good ! Lastly , the pizza pretzel was soo good. Well Philly Pretzel Factory has it all! Tried a sample of everything, the large pretzels, rivets (pretzel bites), cheesesteak filled pretzel bites, and the all beef pretzel dogs. Every single item was delicious! Used the nacho cheese dipping sauce and it was so good with the pretzels. It is a little spicy so if spice is not your thing at all go for one of the other dipping choices (they have six options I think I counted). Looking forward to going back for the catering options for work and church. The young man at the counter let me know it only takes them about 30 minutes to fill a catering order so that makes it even easier to grab a bunch of pretzels! My go to for pretzels. So good, they are eaten before posting. My mini was dragged out the house today to run errands with me during the COVID 19 lockdown. Breakfast was here. One order of mini cheese steak pretzels. I ordered a sampler for later. The cheese steak pretzels were gone in 10 minutes. The sampler was snatched up because of the cheddar and nacho cheese dip for the pretzels. Hot dog pretzels for breakfast and I am enjoying the pepperoni pretzel for lunch. Forgot to tell it was freshly made. Everyone was masked up behind the counter--if they were not, I would not have been back. Order a sampler. Or something larger if it is more than two people. Philly Cheese steak Pretzel is a pretzel hotpocket. Let's face it. You don't go to these types of places to have your food-world rocked. You go here for a savory-salty-sweet pretzel fix. The memories of warm pretzels, hot mustard and good times bring you back. That being said, most pretzel places are 3-stars at best based on food quality. This place isn't an exception, and flirts with subpar. Where these places can make up for it are in the area of customer service. Being a new location I was sure to ask teaser questions to provoke a conversation with staff but was met with vague non-descript answers. Not only were my questions greatly ignored, but we were treated poorly to boot. Upon attempt to purchase some dipping sauces after realizing we needed some post pretzel purchase, two were grabbed, and before we could move 2 feet from the counter to return to the line that formed the manager sharply exclaimed, "Those are not free!". My S.O opened her hand to reveal cash to make the purchase. Seriously? We just purchased $20 in pretzels during your grand opening, this attitude towards customers is highly unprofessional. For this and lack of customer service from our cashier I'll be removing a star each from an otherwise decent experience. YMMV but I might not return based on poor service. This draft has been sitting since July 2018 and we are in March of 2019 but the memory is still crystal clear about my experience. Who knew I'd rate a soft pretzel establishment with 5 stars?! Reason being is the staff and I'm assuming the manager named Jack. Jack is one special fella. When I called to place an order for my birthday, he was not only just helpful, he was so personable and friendly, and best of all efficient and patient with me. I couldn't decide what to get but he helped me by explaining what the platters consisted of. He even gave me recommendations with sauces/dips and helped me order the right amount according to my guestlist. When I finished my order, he gave me a heads up that on July 20th they were giving away free soft pretzels if your name is Tammy and the variations of its spelling. I told him that I missed coming in for the name Aidan/Aiden, which is my son's name, but he told me to bring him in when I pick up my order and he will gladly honor the offer! It doesn't take a lot for me to be impressed and I totally was. So upon pickup day, he remembered me and asked if Aidan came with. I sadly told him no because I left him at home with chores to help set up my party. He looked disappointed and said "aww, maybe next time" and I understood and made my way out the door into the torrential pouring rain. I had to pull my Jeep up to the curb because it was a bit too much to carry esp in the rain - I ordered a large party tray and a box of pretzel nuggets. One of the employees graciously ran out to help load my order. Just as I was about to pull off, I saw Jack running in the rain with a bag in his hand and it was 3 pretzels for my Aidan!!!! I was so surprised and thankful and he wished me a happy birthday before running back inside. That was so kind and thoughtful of him. The staff was very friendly and helpful despite the covid situation. The older gentleman gave us samples of the frozen lemonades so we can decide on what flavor to get.
