This place was spoken highly of. The pastries were huge and decently priced. I personally didn't care for what I got. It had shredded coconut but that's a personal preference. The place is popular because there was a line after we walked in.

Auntie Dee's has the best Pan in Los Angeles. There are a few places in town that carry pandesal, but for the freshest and tastiest, head to Auntie Dee's Pan De Manila. It's a go to favorite! Great service, delicious baked goods, easy to locate, ample parking inside a plaza. They offer Filipino delicacies and baked goods, along with a side of siopao, lumpia, and shumai. You'll also likely find taho, cakes, and assorted puto. I recently saw a sign that they offer a $95 special for lechon. If you're in town, looking for hot pandesal straight from the oven, you know where to go.

Warm pan de sal at eight Filipino bakery is my weakness and this place delivers! Thank you, May, for always being so kind whenever I come in. I'm always tempted to try another new thing in here along with my go-to bread. Today I tried the Ube Halaya and wasn't disappointed! Plenty of parking

I had seen some reviews for Auntie Dee's and noticed it was in my vicinity, so I put it on my list. What I didn't realize is that I pass by the strip mall where it is located every time I go to my mom's house. I was meeting up with my darling gal pals and wanted to bring them a nice treat. I figured it was the perfect opportunity to pay a visit to Auntie Dee's. The minute you walk in you are greeted by the most delicious smells. I wanted to eat everything! Mai was behind the counter and she was so sweet and helpful. I told her it was my first time visiting and she graciously explained all the various products in the store. They also sell savory items including Pancit. I remember sweet Sam B mentioning that she really likes Ensaimadas and since Mai said they are their best sellers I decided to pick up a few. I got a Nutella Ensaimada, an Ube Macapuno Ensaimada, a Pandan Macapuno Ensaimada, & a Strawberry Ensaimada. The Ensaimada are huge! They can easily be cut into fours and shared. They cost $4.50, which is a great deal. I tried the Pandan Macapuno Ensaimada. After just one bite I could taste why it was a customer favorite. The buttery brioche was so soft. The Pandan Macapuno filling added a touch of sweetness. It was even better when warmed up because the lightly sweetened buttercream melted into it, which made it more delightful. The next time I go to my mom's house I'll be making a pit stop at Auntie Dee's to try some of their other tasty treats. Yummmm!

I wanted to love this place. The younger girl who works here is going to ruin your business. She seemed so miserable being there. Didn't acknowledge people walking in, no greetings, and when I approached her to have my order taken and tried being friendly she had such a bad attitude and tone. Hospitality 0/10 from this girl. No thank you's or hope to have you back or any type of customer appreciation. We bought about 50$ worth of bread. Almost Everything tasted stale and was cold. Only things that were good was Spanish bread and the fresh pan de sal that we came back for 15 minutes later. It was super soft, warm, and authentic. The lady who gave us the pan de sal was super nice and friendly. Maybe teach your peer to have a bit more enthusiasm. :) Ambiance was feeling down. Maybe try having some music on too so it doesn't feel so depressing in there.

Okay, Auntie Dee's -- I see you! I've been wanting to check out this place for a long time and glad I finally did! I got their pancit malabon, pan de sal, chicken pot pie, buchi (sesame balls), and pimiento cheese. I loved all of them, especially the pan de sal. Toasted on a pan with some butter, reminds me of my childhood! My husband ate the chicken pot pie and he said he loved it. The pimiento cheese was a little too sweet for me, but otherwise I really enjoyed the goods that I got here. This isn't a fancy joint. It's a no-frills Filipino bakery shop, but it's just what I was looking for. I look forward to trying more items here on my next visit.

I was in the complex and something smelled divine so I followed my nose inside and was blown away by the options. There have such an extensive menu of hot foods and baked goods all at reasonable prices! After asking the cashier what he'd recommend for a first timer I got an Ube Macapuno Ensaimada, which is a baked bread stuffed with fresh ube and young coconut shreds. It was perfectly sweet, satisfying, and filling, could body ANY donut thrown at it. Total hidden gem, go try it out immediately!

I like the store, it's a to go to when craving for pan de ube or other goods. However, recently went there and saw this Ube Sansrival (with a Sweet Escape sticker) for $18 a slice, and I thought I'd try it, (almost bought the bigger slice $36) . In my mind, it better be good for it to cost this much. Very dissapointed, NOT WORTH IT

We were in Glendale for a wedding and so didn't have a ton of time to explore (family wedding so there were lots of family obligations), but I really wanted to do a bakery crawl in Glendale Sunday morning before we headed to West LA and then north up the coast. Auntie Dee's Pan de Manila was one of the last stops on our 7-bakery crawl, but it was also one of my favorites. It was a great Filipino stop among the Armenian and Japanese bakeries on our crawl! We tried the chorizo bread (good), the beef empanada (good but not my favorite), choco bread (okay but a little dry), and the chicken asado siopao - so absolutely delicious, I would have eaten 3. Tiny little place, great service. A very good stop on our bakery crawl!

HAM & GRUYÈRE CROISSANT (Butter croissant rolled with slices of ham and Gruyère cheese) It was good, wish there was there was more ham & gruyère inside. Nonetheless, the croissant was the star! It was flaky, buttery, crispy perfection! Having said that, get the butter croissant instead! TRIPLE PAIN AU CHOCOLAT Deliciously dark chocolatey! Flaky, buttery, crispy croissant, what more could you want? Loved it with a cup of coffee! Better when you toast in the oven! ORANGE BLOSSOM ALMOND CROISSANT (Crispy twice baked croissant filled with light and silky almond cream studded with bright candied orange pieces, and a smooth, floral orange blossom pastry cream) Flaky, crispy croissant with beautifully floral, full orange blossom flavor! This croissant was beautifully done! I haven't had a pastry that honored orange blossom like this! The almond cream comes through alongside the orange blossom, which complemented each other wonderfully! I love elevated croissants like this! It makes me happy to come to Fondry, knowing they can deliver on all their baked goods! Passionfruit heaven! The vanilla chantilly cream was also excellent in flavor! It was so good, I went back to get another! TOFU CLOUD CROISSANT TOAST (Crisp and sweet miso honey butter toasted croissant topped with a cloud-like sweet tofu cream) Crispy, crunchy, deliciously toasted croissant. Can taste the miso and the croissant tasted like burnt caramel. The tofu cream was fluffy and sweet, like whipped cream, but fluffier! The bottom layer tasted like almond frangipane. Such a delight to eat! I regretted not getting a second one! Beautifully done! BLACK SESAME PARISIAN FLAN Not good. Tart was crispy on the outer layers, but underside was soft. The black sesame flavor was there, but it was a muddled flavor, not a clean toasted black sesame flavor. The flan texture was a bit gummy and a bit dense too. FYI: There were some brunch items you can order in person before 11:00am. ONLINE ORDER Encouraged to order online and order in advance if you want specific pastries. I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. Ever since reopening after the pandemic, both the service and food quality seem to have steadily deteriorated. I keep returning out of nostalgia for what it once was, but each visit leaves me more disappointed than the last. On my most recent visit, the service was noticeably dismissive and a bit sassy. The food was equally underwhelming. The Calabrese pizza was excessively greasy, and while I managed to finish the ribeye because I was absolutely famished, it was overcooked and dry, but at only $65 for the bone-in ribeye with fries, I guess I can't really complain. What truly ruined the experience, however, was the pear martini. It arrived garnished with a pear that still had the produce sticker attached. At best, this demonstrates a shocking lack of attention to detail and at worst, it raises concerns about whether the fruit was even properly washed. Seeing that completely killed our appetites. The restaurant removed the drink from the bill after i asked them to, but unfortunately the response felt indifferent, as though no one particularly cared that such an obvious mistake had made. After years of returning Bottega Louie, this visit was likely my last. It's disappointing to watch a once great restaurant decline so noticeably, but unless something changes, I can't imagine returning.
