The food here is hot or miss but staff is friendly and will accommodate based on your taste preference. I have had there two delicacy meal (roast pork and bbq pork), as well as roast duck here too. Good can be salty at time but if asked to be made less salty they are more than happy to accommodate! Food is ok.. but I ordered 1/2 roasted duck and Shrimp Chow Mien. Ask when it was going to be ready. I was told 20 minutes. I was 3 minutes away so I waited for that 20 minutes before driving there. Arrived and found out not ready yet. Was told, oh wanted to make sure I like the roasted duct before cutting it. Hmmm weird... look at the duck and I do not like it.. too many fin feathers still attached and I told him. This is my thing, yes Thank You for waiting before chopping the roasted duck. But at the same time, why do you sell those roasted ducK with fin feathers still attached. The very thing with Roasted duck is the delicious skins and of course without those fin feathers. It is my first time here as it is new but will not be going back. 1-I arrived and its not ready yet and just started cooking my chow mien 2-Reason that I may not like the duck is not a reason at all as why are you selling ducks with lots of fin feathers still attached. 3-If they could have told me that they will only cook it when I am there, then let me know, I would have not wasted that 20 minutes waiting. I accidentally made an order at this place when I meant to go to the El Monte location. This is 30 min away from my house. But I was like oh well, I already made the call. Let's check it out anyway. It looks identical to the El Monte location. Same owner I assume? Service was very poor. The lady on the phone was exceptionally rude. I tried to order Hainan Chicken Noodle Soup, but she kept repeating that I wanted rice. Tried to tell her I wanted noodles, then she was like "so you wanted egg noodles?" I tell her I wanted rice noodles, the white ones. She gets confused and says "So you want noodles or rice? You need to make a decision." Unbelievable attitude when she was the one that misheard me since the beginning. After receiving my order and I got home, I realized there were no sauces? No ginger OR sweet dipping sauce? The two core sauces for Hainan Chicken?! It's not even Hainan chicken without the sauce; it's just Chicken Noodle soup at this point. Don't know if she deliberately didn't give it to me. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she forgot. Never happened at the El Monte location though. This location is very disappointing. Service needs improvement. read more

All dishes we ordered were very delicious.But we were not pleased with the dining experience with having our food with Togo plates in the restaurant. It would be nicer for them to provide their customer with nicer plates. My friends shook their heads in disbelief when we got served with tiny plastic plates. Please go there for Togo only. A good alternative to other Chinese cuisine restaurants. It's a medium-small storefront. Offers roasted duck, wonton noodles, etc. Got the Hainan Chicken - 3/5 quality. Rice was definitely a larger portion than most other places. While others might give you a small bowl, this place fills up the bottom of the to go container. Rice had a subtle flavor. Nice turmeric yellow color. They provided orange sour ish sauce and garlic oil sauce for the chicken. No green onions oddly. Chicken is standard boiled. Good for picky children perhaps? I had to add some soy sauce and make more of the oil. Wonton noodle - 3/5. The wonton noodle soup came with the thin egg noodles, 5-6 pieces of wonton, and a few iceberg lettuce leaves. Was perplexed at the lettuce since it normally comes with bok choy. The noodles and wonton were cooked and clumped together. The lettuce was withered. This is definitely a dish to cook and assemble at home if possible. I know this defeats the purpose of buying from restaurant but it improves the quality 2 folds. read more

This review is purely based on their customer service or rather lack thereof. The elderly woman is extremely rude. When asking for help by waving her down and saying hello, she would look at you and just walk away. Another worker came out after standing there for 10-15min without getting serviced. She took our order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. We came back and took our order home. When we opened the packed bags, none of the hainam items that we ordered came with any sauce. So we drove back to inform them that we did not get any sauce, the elderly woman just laughed and the other worker just went, "oh, here" Not a single apology. When we asked for 1 extra sauce, they just said no, you have enough. If a customer had to drive back because you forgot to pack the sauce that comes with a certain menu item, i think accomodating the customer with extra sauce is more than fair. read more

I found a place that has potential to be my "Go Too " for Chinese take out . Auntie Kitchen serves a generous and tasty portion of pork fried rice. My family and I were totally impressed! Their prices are reasonable which is another plus for me. I usually try fried rice as a sample of what the food will be like, after all if you can't make a good fried rice then you have no business making Chinese food. I am looking forward to bringing my family in for dinner. I'm a fan of roasted duck and will be trying the duck soon . Aunties has an interesting menu from soups to entrees . True Cantonese food here, hard to find in Baldwin Park. Not a really big menu, but if you ask I'm sure they would try to make something for you. Very tasty wonton noodle soup, all bbq items have been as good as Sam Woo's, and fried noodles perfectly done. The original location is in El Monte and this spot is there second location that just opened about six months ago. Owner very nice and food was delicious. So happy this place is close to Kaiser and so tasty. Will definitely become a regular and won't have to drive all the way to SGV. read more

I ordered the Hainan chicken with bbq pork. I guess they made their own version of Hainan chicken. First of all, they just give you regular rice instead of rice that is cooked in broth, and the rice they gave was hard and sticky at the same time. It was the worst rice I've ever had as a native Cantonese person who grew up on rice. The cha siew (bbq pork) was not good either; the meat was hard too. I don't know what cut of meat they used but it wasn't good. The "choy" (greens) it came with was totally tasteless, just like their chicken. I didn't even feel like trying their scallion dipping sauce anymore. The soup it came with was just regular soup, with carrots in it, not like the traditional broth. Many reviewers talked about the food so I don't have to reiterate. I have been a customer since the Baldwin Park location opened. What I like the most about this place is that they always fill the to-go box full of food. I usually order three dishes and split the food into my lunch box for three days and eat while at lunch at work (if I didn't cook).
