This was such an incredible experience! It was my first time on a paddleboard, and I was honestly nervous even to try--but Peg was amazing. She coached me through every step and had me standing before I knew it! The setting was beautiful, and after paddle boarding we went snorkeling and saw so many fish--and even had a turtle swim right underneath us. This is our first time in Maui and we wanted to do something adventurous so we picked SUP. We booked it through TripAdvisor and got a 7:15am lesson for the whole family. We had no idea what to expect but Peg and her team (Brittany & Mona) made it a extremely wonderful experience for us! Peg checked in with us a couple days before and made sure we knew where to go and meet with them. Once we got there, she greeted us and learned all our names! She took her time explaining all the steps very carefully and address all safety issues very seriously. Once we got on the water, she continued to guide us and teach us tips of SUP. By the end of lesson, we all learned to stand up and paddle the board around! Peg and her team really came through above and beyond. Peg was the sweetest, gentlest guide you could possibly ask for. She taught us everything we needed to know about paddle boarding, and even though it was my first time, it was easy with her guidance. While we were on the water, we took a few breaks to admire the scenery and learn about the history and geography of the island. We finished with a snorkel adventure spotting a fair number of sea turtles hanging out in the reef below us! Peg went above and beyond to make sure that not only our paddle board experience was excellent, but also our entire vacation. Waters were pretty rough on the day we went and they were worried about us being able to get off the beach. They offered to reschedule us but our plans for the rest of our trip didn't allow it. I said we have past experience with paddle boarding, and that we would rather go out and see how it goes. Mona, our guide, allowed us to go out on the water, which I really appreciated since she could have just as easily said she didn't feel comfortable letting us go out. The waters were even more choppy than I had expected, but we managed to find our footing. We saw 1 turtle but not much else due to the choppy water. Again though, the ocean is unpredictable, and you never know what you're going to get. If we had to do it again, I would have probably booked the snorkel tour just so there was more to see, but it was still a great overall experience. 5/5 would do again. For those reading this, temper expectation as the ocean does what it wants. read more

Peg and her team (Chris, Emily, and Tristan) created such a fun and memorable experience for our family which included 3 little ones 3yo, 6yo, 8yo. Being a non-swimmer, and going out with young kids, I was quite nervous at the idea of ocean SUP, but the team made it so easy, and safe out and back. Chris and Emily were so great with the kids and it was one of their favorite memories in Maui. Would highly recommend for all ages and all swim levels (coming for a complete non swimmer). Highlight of our trip! We originally booked our trip for 9:15 on Monday, but Peg alerted us that the water was already getting choppy for first time riders. We rescheduled for the next day when Brittany and Scott took us out first thing in the morning. While one of our crew of four dropped out due to the time change, he immediately regretted it when we recounted our day. We paddleboarded right next to several dozens of sea turtles and were able to get some great underwater photos while snorkeling as well. Brittany and Scott were informative in the knowledge of Maui, and they were such a blast to spend the morning with. We can't wait to come back for humpback season again, and this time we'll definitely sign up to paddleboard with these two again. Thanks again for showing us such an amazing time! read more

I had a wonderful private SUP tour with Paddle On! Maui! this morning. I am deaf with cochlear implants. Unfortunately, the aqua kit I ordered arrived just before I was leaving and it was missing a critical piece so I was deaf on the water. Lowe was a wonderful guide/instructor. I am fairly experienced SUPing on lakes but this was my first time dealing with surf. She taught me how to launch and beach through surf. She was also able to sight whales and turtles and, once off the water, explained what the whales were doing out there (the males attempting to win the mating lottery with a female). Really fun. She was extremely understanding of the deafness and able to communicate as needed on the water. Unlike some pros, she was professional and never condescending. It was a great way to start my day. I have never been on a paddle board before. Our instructor Brittany was very helpful demonstrating how to get on and off the board before entering the water. Only falling in the water once it was easy to catch on and she went at a good pace keeping close by and telling us about the island. We loved our morning out with Brittany! It was so nice to experience paddle boarding with a private group (not just a bunch of random people). The experience was amazing and very personal. Even when one of us got sea sick (take some Bonine if you think you might get queasy!) Brittany was totally awesome about it. She took the time to carefully return the wifey to shore and got her situated before returning to our lesson. We saw the most amazing and gorgeous turtles! Brittany even pointed out the nearby islands and landmarks (and a famous athletes home!). She even told us about some great spots not to miss on the island. We went with our extended family on the kayak/snorkel tour with Paddle On! and it was great! There were 3 kids (ages 4, 6 and 9) and 3 adults and we all had a great time. Our guides were experienced, knowledgeable, patient and fun. Once the kids got tired of snorkeling, they had a great time being entertained on the kayak by one of our guides which the rest of us kept snorkeling. I would highly recommend Paddle On! We saw multiple turtles within minutes of being on the ocean. Our tour was scheduled from 7:15a and supposed to be 2 hours; however, Brittany kept us out on the water longer and checked out a few extra areas. She brought water, snacks and towels for us. Great paddle tour off Wailea! The day we went there was a bit of swell but Peg and her staff made sure we were safe. It was the beginning of whale watching season and during our paddle were blessed with seeing a half dozen whales and two came up 20-30ft ahead of us but it seemed much closer, quite a thrilling sight! One of the best decisions we made on our holiday. Though a bit on the pricey side, we really felt it was worth it. Brittany was instantly welcoming and took excellent care of us the entire time. Our family of five (3 Kids- 8, 10, 13) had the most amazing time with Peg and Brittney. Our youngest was very apprehensive about getting on a board, and Peg went above and beyond to make him comfortable with the water. It was the perfect balance so the rest of us could enjoy our time without having to worry about our 8-year old. These two ladies can turn anyone into a fearless paddler - it was awesome! We were so excited to see the variety of experiences offered by Paddle On! Maui, but were bummed that we didn't learn of them until the end of our trip. With little expectation that they would be able to schedule us so last minute, we called and spoke to Peg, and even though they were already fully booked, she made several phone calls to "call-in" another instructor on their day off to accommodate us. Our paddle tour was excursion was an incredible experience. My family (wife, 12-year-old daughter, and 10-year-old son) decided that this adventure sounded like a great time, and it exceeded our expectations. In fact, on the trip home, when I asked the kids about their favorite experience, both answered without hesitation, "the paddleboard trip". It was a beautiful morning, the water was calm, the equipment was top-notch, and the guides were amazing. For three of us, this was our first paddleboarding experience, and our guides were patient, calm, interactive (without being intrusive), knowledgeable, and explained the experience and technique to us in an understandable, encouraging, and instructive manner. The guides were flexible with the time and the experience, and they even brought a camera to take some great pictures. We took some time to snorkel and saw an abundance of fish and turtles. The guides even had a little snack for us (and water) during the trip. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Maui. read more

Disappointed in the customer svc and other factors. I really wanted to like the tour for what we were paying, but there were too many negatives. First off, the guide said they'd meet us at the hotel. After 10 mins I called and they said "Sorry, I forgot." Then there was confusion as to where to meet and the guide made me feel like it was my fault. Second is the price. I agreed to pay it, but there is MUCH bigger bang for your buck available elsewhere (whole day boat/snorkel tour AND fed twice for same price). Lastly, I brought a camera to take pics, but the guide kept taking pics for us. I thought that was so nice until after the paddle they said they'd send them to me for fifty bucks! The paddle itself was cool, but the other factors made it disappointing overall. read more

Our favorite excursion on Maui. Peg was an amazing instructor and guide on the water. Neither of us had ever down SUP before and both of us were nervous. We recommend buying the picture package they bring their camera on the water if you check the box during online reservations. Bring a card or $50 cash to actual session because they don't charge you for pictures until after you have taken them on your tour. We went on the sunrise Whale watching tour our first day and Peg changed our tour date/time for us when she realized the weather was going to be windy. I am pregnant and the day/time change made the experience AMAZING. We saw two whale tails and heard a bit of one singing; I had hoped to hear more of them but regardless it was still worth every penny. 1st. Great instruction and great equipment 2nd. Beautiful views, fun experience and learned great local info and sea life info from Peg on the SUP. 3rd Just fun and unique experience with an awesome friendly staff. 4th We got to jump off the boards at the end and snorkel and saw a 4ft turtle swimming with us and a baby turtle swimming close by. This is a small new business and Peg and her staff were professional and so much fun. Highly Recommend this company I will be using this company again for futrue excursions. What an amazing adventure! Peg was a wonderful teacher to us 3 novices who have never stepped a foot on a paddle board. The water was rougher than most days but our safety was top of mind for Peg. Waiting for the waters to calm made me a little more nervous, but once you're out there it's go time! Peg talked us through every step and gave us encouragement until we could paddle on our own and enjoy the views!! And wow, what a sight! Especially the turtles!! Taking time in between for photo shoots, a water and snack break, and sitting on our boards to relax before heading back in made it feel like the adventure lasted forever.
