We were happy to check out Aunty's for our 4-year-old during our recent visit to Aulani. Complimentary services for hotel guests included one 90-minute session per day (per child), starting at 8am, 10am, or noon. I recommend booking in advance as the 10am session was already full some of the days of our visit. Activities for the complimentary care include Disney movies, video games, and daily rotating crafts. Magic bands are required for kids attending Aunty's. There are a few options to rent or you can buy one (or I think bring one if you have them already). There are also paid 3-hour experiences for kids to enjoy. My son did the Surfin Party with Goofy and Max and the Galactic Games with Stitch. He liked both, but is still talking about the Galactic Games days later. This is a great perk of staying at Aulani and we'll definitely be sending our son to Aunty's next time we are at Aulani! read more

Love love love that the resort has this. Luckily I was on the Reddit group for the resort well in advance of our trip and I learned how far in advance you have to reserve spots. That can lead to a lot of heartache if you don't know, and one day when I was checking in my kids, someone was finding out the hard way that there were any spots because they didn't reserve before. Essentially, you need to login as soon as the portal is open to you to snag spots. I was fortunate to get one of the premium experiences for my two kids with Moana and three other days for the 90 minutes of childcare. Walla was there. They ended up being a cancellation on another premium experience so I was able to upgrade from the 90 minutes to the stitch experience. The premium experiences come with the additional cost, but I think it was really worth it. The three hours gives you much more time to go and have a nice meal with your spouse or lounge by the beach and the kids have so much fun having the extra time with the characters and each of the experiences gave them a really nice souvenir. I feel like the time they spent at the premium experiences was one of their highlights of the trip, so everyone was very happy. The staff are incredible. Incredible customer service, super helpful, very knowledgeable, and I really appreciate how they were able to get me on the list for that second premium experience. I felt really secure and comfortable leaving my kids at Auntie's house. read more

It's been some time since we visited Aulani. We were last here in 2018 and it's changed since post vivid. It's no longer 3 and up. Due to state regulations it is now five and over. This rating is solely from a parent's perspective, since our kids are still at the beach house and we aren't quite sure if our two boys, age 9 and 5, enjoyed it or not; however, from the parent's standpoint this is awesome! Checkin was solid. Staff members aka aunties explained how it works-- daily complimentary themed 1.5-hour blocks and/or book premium activities for a fee. Two step process, first register your children either online or onsite then book activities early in the morning or online. Space seems to be limited and fills up quickly so plan ahead. I hope our kids really enjoy it because we are appreciative of the short "time off"! Yeah, yeah--we came to Aulani to spend time with our babies. This was a nice quick reset! :D read more

Aunty's Beach House aka Kids club . The entire programs is well thought out with tons of rooms of activities. Game room, computer room, Movie room and three outside playground. The outside area was completely covered with trees so no need to worry about sunburn. Each child has a Disney wristband which monitors which room they are in so staff can easily locate each child. You must sign your child in/out with your personal key card and secret password. It's open from 930am -9pm and I think capacity was 125 which was not full each time we tried. You can pay extra for lunch and dinner but we didn't use that service. Kid played all day and enjoyed a "beach party" and making Stiches Space Goo (green slime?). Plus - no extra charge for this service. It's included in the hotel stay no matter how many kids you have. read more

I heard enthusiastic team members entertaining the kids in the cute outdoor play area. Inside he made arts and crafts along with a movie room and a video game room. I love that they require hand washing upon entering and all meals and snacks. The dinners are a steal compared to the pricing everywhere else at the resort. read more

A good safe environment , the staff seem really nice they give everybody wristbands so you have to check in and out and make you wash your hands before you go in . the place looked really clean and well-kept all the toys and games and everything seem to be well kept together for the kids . video games are fun my boy liked them. So if you're at Aulani with your kids you should definitely register and set them up to go in there for a couple hours at least once or twice. So you can go out and have a good time and give you a chance to hang out and do something you want to do without having to worry about your kids and they even offer dinner and maybe lunch I believe . I'm not sure but at least dinner if you're leaving them there later in the day. read more

I can't say enough good things about Aunty's Beach House. Childcare is tough when you are on vacation. Aunty will take care of it. This place makes Aulani at the top of the list of resorts to stay at when in Oahu if you have children. As long as your kid is 3 and potty trained, this is the place for them to go and hang out. There are activities and games and movies and just everything kids need. You can even prepay for their dinner and I have a couple of Elementary school boys and they can eat me out of house and home and the amount of food they got here was MORE than ENOUGH for them. They actually preferred it rather than eating dinner with us adults. That is speaking volumes. There is a "tween" hour that the "bigger" kids can enjoy and do some stuff that is for the "older" crowd. And they have VIDEO GAMES!!! HAHA, I was a little jealous. read more

Aunties beach house is basically a really cool daycare center for preschool-elementary school students who are potty trained. I've heard of Aunties beach house from several people, and they all loved the place. It's a great option for parents who are looking to have some alone time. Kids love the activities here and parents can enjoy themselves without feeling guilty. What I personally loved about the beach house is that they do offer parents the chance to come here and shadow their kids. For about an hour every morning, parents with young ones can bring their kids here and play with them before it becomes a kids-only zone. As the mother of an autistic child who doesn't always listen, this was the best option for me because I didn't want to leave my son here without me. He was able to play in on the gym sets, color pictures, and even play video games. Overall, it's a great place for kids. I only wished they let parents stay with their children for more than that short time frame in the morning. read more

Our 3 and 5 year old loved coming here, and we were able to enjoy a dinner or two and some less kid-friendly adventures. The staff is very friendly and I love that everyone (kids and adults picking up children) must wash their hands. There are several free activities (building a volcano, space goo, hula) that you can sign up for in addition to all the other activities. They only let you sign up the morning of, but we had no problem getting the girls into activities if we signed them up when they open (at 8 a.m.). I'd recommend doing the open house (they usually have it around 9 in the morning). This is the only time they allow parents to come with the kids so the kids can get comfortable and figure out where the restroom is. read more

The Daily activities are provided to you in the Ewa (schedule) you receive each night for the next day. Some of the free activities include volcano and goo experiments and canoe races. They also provide meals at an additional cost ~$9/meal. Comparable to the resort meal prices. They also have paid experiences include Chip and Dales Surf and a program where you can make fish food and then go feed the fish. Each morning they have an open house from 8am-9:30am, where you can checkout the facilities, play on the playground, play with the computer tables, and do the arts & crafts they setup for you. Even if you don't plan to use Auntie's check it out - you will be amazed and change your mind and decide to use it :). read more

Like my friend who works at Aulani says, Auntie's Beach House is the main reason adults with kids want to pick to stay at Aulani. The "daycare" service at Auntie's Beach House is included in the price you pay for your stay, where other hotels would charge you per child/per hour. You'll basically drop your kids off here in the morning (and they won't want to leave your side). But once you leave to go do your own thing and come back to pick them up later, they won't want to leave Auntie's Beach House! My daughter loves this place and wants to be here as soon as it opens until it closes at night.Sometimes we have to pry her out just to get her to eat and she wants to go back in right away LOL. All of the cast members here are very very friendly and I definitely trust them with my children. They are always willing to answer any questions or go above and beyond their duties. The kids have so much fun with all of the crafts and fun that they have here with all of the different play rooms including the outdoor tree house I can see why my daughter never wants to leave. We come every summer so I am starting to get to know all the cast members and it's really funny to see everyone year after year. All in all Disney has superior customer service again and the beach house had definitely proven that! read more

The Beach House is open from 8am to 10am for kids of all ages with parents' supervision. After 10am, it is secured for childcare services that is included in the resort fee! I have never heard of that and I can't want to take advantage of it when both my kids are at least 3 years old and potty trained. The Beach House had tons of things for the kids to do. They have costumes for dress up, toys for kitchen play, musical instruments, toy cars and figurines, and more! They also had tables set up for coloring and drawing, rubber stamps, and other craft projects. I saw more than one dad playing on these interactive touch screen game tables so there really is something for every child. There is even an outside area with a couple of wooden play structures for climbing and sliding. The staff is super friendly and the Beach House seems to have the right security measures in place. Although I used the Beach House drop off as a threat to get my daughter to behave at dinner, I know she would have a great time there. read more

My 3 year old absolutely loved this place, and we could definitely see why - it's a huge space with tons of fun creative activities. We registered online (at least 48 hours before arrival) and then registered in person on the night before we used the Beach House. My sister convinced me to go at about 6 pm since she said that it gets crowded when parents pick up the children around 8:30 p.m. (it closes at 9 p.m.). Since I named my sister as my daughter's guardian authorized to pick up my daughter, the next morning, my sister kindly stood in line for my daughter and her children at 6:30 a.m. to make sure that we got the dinners ordered for our children that night. She also signed the children up for hula lessons and the joke class. That morning, we went to the open house (you don't need to wait in the long line of parents waiting to register!) to check out the place. It's huge! The outdoor playground area was shady and cool, and the girls loved running in between the structures. Just be careful not to let any kids under 5 play in the bigger structure (we didn't hear the staff give that instruction until the girls were already up on the bridge and stuck!). There are several large rooms - one with a Disney movie/tv show playing and dress up costumes, another with a stage and dress up costumes, a couple of rooms with arts and crafts and electronics like iPads and huge touchscreen games, books, and games. When we dropped off our daughter for the dinner at 4:30 p.m., there was a significant line, but it was worth it. The staff were so sweet. Since most toddlers had just been forced awake from a nap, one of my daughter's cousins was crying, but the staff was comforting her and seemed really happy when I tried to bring her cousins over to help her make her feel better. The next day, we went to the dance party (during open house, so the adults could enjoy watching the children!), where we got a surprise visit from Hawaiian Stitch! It was so cool for the kids to dance with Stitch! Such a unique opportunity. I also loved that the photo pass photographer was there to take awesome photos. That morning, the kids enjoyed doing Stitch Goo together, where they were again surprised by Stitch. The next morning, we went to another Aloha Party, and Stitch again came out to surprise and dance with them. We left the girls to play together while we cleaned up the room and moved our luggage to the car (took quite awhile!). When we returned, the girls initially said that they didn't want to leave so we returned about 30 minutes later, after wandering around the resort. When we returned for them, they were eating a nice snack of goldfish and mllk. So nice that they fed them a free snack! Remember to keep your receipt (we took a photo of the receipt just in case we lost it) and the children's wristband to make sure you get your $13 deposit back. My daughter's band kept making her itchy, and was too loose the first time it was fitted on her so it fell off. My niece's band came off in the water since it was so loose so her parents had to buy her a new one. Ask the staff to make it really tight so it doesn't fall off, and then when they're done at the beach house, just snip off the tab clasp and hold onto it until the next visit so the child doesn't lose the band! read more

Auntie's Beach house is really great when you can get in. They open at 8, but the line starts earlier than that = 7am, maybe even sooner. Parents want to sign their kids up for the days activities early because they fill up quickly. You can also drop kids off for free play during the day, but only if they're not full. Fortunately the day we needed to drop off our LO, they had space and she had a blast. So if you can get in, definitely use it. Kids get a wrist band that they need to wear while they're there, and can wear the whole vacation - but LO found it a little uncomfortable for her. Anyway, Auntie's is a great idea - wish it was a little more practical. read more

My daughters second visit. My child was finally 3 and potty trained therefore able to fully enjoy the benefits of the club house! Note that my daughter is not shy in any way or fashion so she fearlessly entered and had a blast! The place is exhaustively filled will fun for children. One of the children traveling with us stayed for 6 hours by choice. I kept my daughter in for increments of 2-3 hours with breaks in between. It's AWESOME to be able to drop off my child in a safe, fun environment with endless amounts of fun! The not so awesome part of the experience was that waiting to get the kids in or sign them up for activities. It was a pain in the butt at times. Especially first thing in the morning and at the end of the night. For example, I waited in line first thing in the morning to sign the kids up for an activity for 15 minutes only to find out when I got to the front of the line that there was no space. I would wish they could have some sort of signage, kind of like the movies so while your in line you know what's available and what's not. Also, when it is busy in the "lobby" area the line is confusing/kapakahi. A lady cut in front of me but there was no way I was going to get angry at a Disney Resort:-). C'mon Disney! Please work on a way to inform us of filled activities so that we are not in line for nothing. Also, organize the line during peak times. You are so great at it at your parks!! Mahalo! read more

1/29/12: Womderful childcare environment for anyone visiting the Aulani resort. From the time that you walk in and throughout the facility, the staff here are great with keeping you kids busy and happy. My wife and I stopped in to check it out, our son was too young to participate, but as a resort guest, anyone is welcome to come with their children to use their activities. We spent some time in the back blowing bubbles and coloring with sidewalk chalk. Afterwards we went inside to play with their board games along with various craft materials. Excellent staff that's is ready to take opn your kids. Service is exceptional as would be expected with any Disney resort. read more

We loved Aunty's beach house, however the kids didn't like it. They felt bored there even with all the great distractions available. At first they were excited to go but didn't want to go back. For some reason they weren't allowed to play outside at the time of their visit there must be certain times or staffing needs in order for them to go out. read more

I specifically asked when registering in person whether the three activities I had signed my kids up for online were confirmed for the next day. I had read online that parents often needed to line up early in the morning each day to reserve slots for their kids, and I was assured that I would NOT need to do this. Great, I thought, until mid-morning the next day when I was told that none of the activities I had requested were confirmed and that all slots for all activities were full. I told the staff about what I was told the day before. The staff member that handled our registration the previous day was not present. Each person I spoke to insisted that my activities were not confirmed according to the computer. They did not believe me, and no apologies were given. After speaking to a concierge, I received a call from one of the managers from Aunty's Beach House who, after hearing what happened, was willing to immediately guarantee any activity reservations we wanted for the following day. Unfortunately, we were checking out of the hotel the next day. I asked for Aunty's Beach House to investigate how this mixup occurred and how they planned to prevent it from happening again. They promised to look into it and send me an explanation by email. It has been over two weeks, but I have not received an email yet. read more

I would love to give 5 stars because this is such an innovative and fun idea, and my daughter had a really good time. However, I was completely turned off when I went to pick my 4 year old daughter up and it took about 45 minutes. I just dropped her off for under an hour, at her request, so she could play, do some arts, and meet new friends. I stood in line for about 30 minutes just to pick her up. I didn't realize there would be such a "dinner rush" of parents trying to sign up and drop their children off. I was forced to wait in the same line as parents who were just there to ask about the program, and trying to register both for that night and the next day. While I stood in line every single Cast Member was explaining this program to parents who had never heard of it, answering a million questions about the program, and trying to explain how to sign up in English to guests who couldn't understand them. I can't wrap my head around why they wouldn't have a designated Cast Member whose one job was to allow you to pick up your own child. After standing in line for 30 minutes, and picking her up, I was very rudely instructed to "go back to the back of the line to check her out". The line I had just waited in for 30 minutes to get her in the first place! I just can't accept that this is the way the owner would want the pick up experience to be. My advice to Aunty's Beach House is simple: Designate registers. You should have one line for "I've never been here!/I want to sign up/ What is this place?" and one line for "I have already registered, we have our bands, I just want to drop off" and another line for "I just want to pick up my child, please!". I will probably not use these services again until such a system is implemented. Which is really disappointing because I desperately want to love this place, and I know my daughter does, but I just can't get over the negative experience and the rude attitude that was directed at me for simply wanting my own child to return to me! read more

This place is outstanding! We stayed at the Aulani Resort for the first time in February 2015 with our two children, ages 4 and 5. We don't hire a babysitter often and we weren't sure if they would like spending time away from us on a vacation, but, boy, were we wrong! The staff here does an amazing job of keeping the kids entertained and happy. There are lots of educational activities for them to do (volcano science, hula lessons, jewelry making, etc.) Most of the activities are free (included in the price of your hotel stay), but there are a few "premium" activities that cost extra. We paid extra for our kids to attend the Chip -n- Dale Surf's Up class and the Fish are Friends class. They raved about both classes and begged us to sign them up for more activities at Auntie's Beach House. The Aulani Resort has several pools, a lazy river, a kiddie water park, water slides, and many other attractions, but our kids preferred a visit to Auntie's Beach House over all of the other activities that this resort has to offer. If you are a parent with children ages 3-12, then I suggest that you put Aulani at the top of your list of vacation spots. Although the hotel rates are fairly high, having child care included in the room rate makes the cost to stay here very reasonable if you plan to take advantage of this service. As others have mentioned, the play areas at the beach house are very clean and there are plenty of staff members keeping watch over the kids. Every kid is given a bracelet to wear with a GPS tracking device inside and the staff seemed to take security very seriously. Even if they recognize you and greet you by name when you pick up your child, they still require you to provide a password that you select in advance and scan children's bracelets before leaving. We plan to return to the Aulani Resort later this year mainly because of the great experience our kids had at Auntie's Beach House. Our kids didn't want to leave when we came to pick them up and they begged us to take them there every day of our stay. read more

Great concept and definitely a bonus for parents traveling with kids. Just wish they worked on getting the system down more efficiently. For example, once parents initially sign up their kids, there should be an online enrollment process for next day activities. That way families are not waiting up to an hour to sign up their kids only to find out at the front of the line that all programs are full. It would make the vacation experience more enjoyable for families... and "magical" as they say at Disney. read more

Bravo Disney Aulani for Auntie's Beach house. Considering all the children checked in and out on any given day, the staff is friendly, courteous, respectful and professional. When I first booked my room at Aulani, i read a little about Auntie's Beach house. I learned that the service was complimentary to guests. I was thrilled that I had an option to leave my kids at the facility while I visited the Laniwai Spa or had dinner. My children aged 4 and 6 were thrilled about staying at Auntie's. We didn't plan on leaving them very long so after 3 hours, we picked them up. My children asked if they could come back the next day and asked if they could stay longer. They absolutely loved all the activities and crafts. The staff is amazing! I am highly impressed with this service. Aulani most definitely stands out from other hotels for many reasons, but Auntie's Beach house is at the top. Thank you to the wonderful staff for the excellent treatment. A+++ in my book. read more

The place is huge, much larger than it looks, and even has a backyard with a tree/playhouse structure, grass, & other amenities for outdoor play. I was one of those skeptical parents who thought why would I bring my kids here when "we" are on a family vacation. A great place for the kids to have fun and if your child is old enough they can attend some of the classes they have which allows the adults to relax while the kids learn and have fun! Schedule ahead of time to ensure your child gets a class and get to your appointment early because there is usually a long line (mostly in the morning). read more
