My 6 yrs nephew love this place which he has been many times before on family's vacation. He can have fun, play, and learn with activities that are offered on Iwa schedule. Parents can get a break from their children so they can have their own time.

Aunty's Beach House aka Kids club . The entire programs is well thought out with tons of rooms of activities. Game room, computer room, Movie room and three outside playground. The outside area was completely covered with trees so no need to worry about sunburn. Each child has a Disney wristband which monitors which room they are in so staff can easily locate each child. You must sign your child in/out with your personal key card and secret password. It's open from 930am -9pm and I think capacity was 125 which was not full each time we tried. You can pay extra for lunch and dinner but we didn't use that service. Kid played all day and enjoyed a "beach party" and making Stiches Space Goo (green slime?). Plus - no extra charge for this service. It's included in the hotel stay no matter how many kids you have.

My son could not get enough of Aunty's Beach House. He wanted to eat all his meals here, hahaha. You have to make reservations for their meals and on a few occasions they were full. Meals were $10. I heard enthusiastic team members entertaining the kids in the cute outdoor play area. Inside he made arts and crafts along with a movie room and a video game room. I love that they require hand washing upon entering and all meals and snacks. The dinners are a steal compared to the pricing everywhere else at the resort.

Aunties beach house is basically a really cool daycare center for preschool-elementary school students who are potty trained. I've heard of Aunties beach house from several people, and they all loved the place. It's a great option for parents who are looking to have some alone time. Kids love the activities here and parents can enjoy themselves without feeling guilty. What I personally loved about the beach house is that they do offer parents the chance to come here and shadow their kids. For about an hour every morning, parents with young ones can bring their kids here and play with them before it becomes a kids-only zone. As the mother of an autistic child who doesn't always listen, this was the best option for me because I didn't want to leave my son here without me. He was able to play in on the gym sets, color pictures, and even play video games. Overall, it's a great place for kids. I only wished they let parents stay with their children for more than that short time frame in the morning.

All kids and adults must wash hands before entering

This is the real reason you want to stay at Aulani with children under 12. Drop the kids off as long as you want from 9:30-9. Our 3 and 5 year old loved coming here, and we were able to enjoy a dinner or two and some less kid-friendly adventures. The staff is very friendly and I love that everyone (kids and adults picking up children) must wash their hands. There are several free activities (building a volcano, space goo, hula) that you can sign up for in addition to all the other activities. They only let you sign up the morning of, but we had no problem getting the girls into activities if we signed them up when they open (at 8 a.m.). I'd recommend doing the open house (they usually have it around 9 in the morning). This is the only time they allow parents to come with the kids so the kids can get comfortable and figure out where the restroom is.

I love Aunty's Beachhouse! My daughter loves this place and wants to be here as soon as it opens until it closes at night.Sometimes we have to pry her out just to get her to eat and she wants to go back in right away LOL. All of the cast members here are very very friendly and I definitely trust them with my children. They are always willing to answer any questions or go above and beyond their duties. The kids have so much fun with all of the crafts and fun that they have here with all of the different play rooms including the outdoor tree house I can see why my daughter never wants to leave. We come every summer so I am starting to get to know all the cast members and it's really funny to see everyone year after year. All in all Disney has superior customer service again and the beach house had definitely proven that!

There's always a line in the morning and spots fill up quickly! More at: https://www.instagram.com/p/BDgdvXbmyvV/

Auntie's Beach house is really great when you can get in. They open at 8, but the line starts earlier than that = 7am, maybe even sooner. Parents want to sign their kids up for the days activities early because they fill up quickly. You can also drop kids off for free play during the day, but only if they're not full. Fortunately the day we needed to drop off our LO, they had space and she had a blast. So if you can get in, definitely use it. Kids get a wrist band that they need to wear while they're there, and can wear the whole vacation - but LO found it a little uncomfortable for her. Anyway, Auntie's is a great idea - wish it was a little more practical.

They do offer parking on the premises, however they do charge $40.00 a day, which i thought was pretty pricey but didn't have a choice we had rented a car. The girl at the front desk told us the area was safe and there is usually parking outside the hotel for free, we didnt pay for parking our whole stay! We arrived early but we weren't able to check-in until 4pm. No biggie though because we dropped our bags off and did our grocery shopping while we waited for our room to be ready. From a hotel customer service standpoint, it was pretty good compared to Maui vacation club resorts. The pools and especially the waterslide are the highlights when it comes to amenities. The waterslide is way too much fun! Another amazing part is the lagoons that are steps away from the hotel. No waves, warm water, and super clean. Being so close to a nice beach is such a luxury! They have some cool activities during the day to win prizes, which was a cool way to break up the day. Outside of that, the hotel was just ok. We found the restaurants to be fine but not great. Mid food, hotel prices. That didn't stop us from dining there multiple times because the options in this area aren't abundant. While the hotel has a gym, there's no tennis courts or even a shuttle to take you to the nearby shopping center. If you are staying here, definitely rent a car. $45 for self parking per night though. I've been to this resort a couple of times, and the contrast from staying in a studio versus the 1 or 2-bedroom suites is night and day. The studio rooms are a bit dated and honestly just feels like a standard hotel room. The studio room has a small kitchen area but no stove and really small fridge. The bigger suites are definitely the way to go.

The rooms come with a kitchen stocked with plates, utensils, bowls, a coffee machine, and a hot water dispenser. Laundry is complimentary and on the 4th and 10th floor. They provide the detergent, if you run out just ask for more! If you enjoy exploring local food, the on-site options are somewhat limited. There are two restaurants. One is by the market / koi pond. The other is closer to the pool/beach where you can order items to-go. This same place also delivers food and drinks to the cabanas at the pool and by the lagoon. We thoroughly enjoyed this service when we rented out a cabana for the day! The market carries everything you can think of - from food basics like cereal, to souvenirs. Prices are what you'd expect at a resort. Since we had a car, we drove about 15 minutes to a nearby grocery store to stock up. They serve Starbucks, but it's not the full menu and the line can be long. I preferred grabbing coffee at the restaurant next door (Longhi's) -- I paid ~$8 for a latte with a dairy-free milk substitute and didn't have to wait in that long line which probably would've cost the same price. Shoutout to Chelsea for valeting our car when we arrived, helping with our luggage, and bringing extra bedding and towels. Traveling with young kids can be stressful, but her calm, friendly demeanor made a big difference and didn't go unnoticed. Andrew assisted us with check-in and answered a lot of my questions--he was very helpful. They have an in-app texting service was also convenient. It's only available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. I ended up messaging a couple times after hours not realizing it, and they were kind enough to respond the next morning! One thing to note: if you order any kind of delivery (ie. DoorDash, Uber, etc) - you'll need to pick it up yourself, as staff can't bring it to you. They have a bill changer by the valet area which was a game changer once we found out about it! Make sure to tip these folks, a lot of them are working very hard and showing up with so much love. Overall, this is a great option if you're looking for a "home away from home" experience on the west side of the island!

During our stay, we discovered ants running across the kitchen area in our room. This was not just a few ants. It appeared to be a clear infestation. I have video showing the extent of the ant issue and what we experienced during our stay. We also spotted roaches on the property, which added to our concern and disappointment. Instead of spending our time relaxing, enjoying the resort, and making the most of what was supposed to be a special Disney vacation, we spent valuable vacation time dealing with pest problems, contacting the front desk, waiting for housekeeping, and following up in person to get the room issue addressed. We contacted the front desk right away. The initial call did not seem to be taken as seriously as we had hoped, and it was only after I went to the front desk in person that housekeeping was promptly sent to the room. To their credit, housekeeping did come, took photos, cleaned the area, and attempted to resolve the situation. However, by that point, the disruption had already taken away from our stay. What made the experience even more frustrating was the response afterward. Nothing was initially offered to address the time we lost, the food we had to throw away, or the overall inconvenience of dealing with ants in our room during a vacation we spent over $8,000 on. When we asked about compensation, we were told housekeeping did not have the authority to offer anything, which I understand. However, after speaking with a manager, we were told nothing further could be done beyond a $100 credit, which felt very disappointing given the circumstances. The most upsetting part was the suggestion that we may have brought the ants in ourselves or that we should have reported the issue at check-in. That response felt dismissive and shifted responsibility onto us instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the problem. As someone with over 20 years of experience in the pest control industry, I found that explanation very hard to accept. I hate to put this out there, but I feel obligated to share our experience. Many families save for a long time for a trip like this, and they deserve to know what they could potentially experience, especially when paying Disney resort prices and expecting a certain standard of cleanliness and service. Aulani is a beautiful property and has the potential to be an incredible vacation experience, but this stay did not meet the standard I expected from Disney. The pest issues themselves were bad enough, but the time wasted addressing them and the lack of a meaningful response made the experience much more disappointing. I truly hope management takes these types of cleanliness concerns more seriously in the future. Guests should not have to spend their vacation dealing with ants in their room, food loss, and repeated follow-up just to have an issue properly addressed.

Even though it's just a few miles from my home, the waterfront house feels like it's a whole other world--in a good way. The cottages are all steps from the sand/water, and if you look out the windows from some angles, it looks almost like the waves are flowing right under the house! The property is next to White Plains Beach, but in a secure, gated area, far from that beach's parking lot and set back from the road. Our cottage is a wood house with vaulted ceilings and tongue & groove walls (there are a few other wood houses, and some hollow tile duplex cottages). I think they also call it the Cedar House, but I have no idea if it's really cedar or what. It's rustic, but super spacious, with 2 bedroom & 2 bathrooms, wraparound lanai, long driveway and of course, amazing ocean views with a sweeping view of town all the way to Diamond Head in the distance. There is tons of space on the lanai to enjoy the views and sun, plus store surf/stand up paddle/body board storage and any other ocean toys you bring with you. There's an outdoor shower plus hoses so you can rinse down your gear. For less than the price of a hotel room (per night), this place has a full kitchen, outdoor hibachi, and so much space! If you have access to the cottages, I highly recommend staying here! Just a couple pointers: While there are adequate cooking utensils, pots & pans in the kitchen, there are no food items whatsoever. In addition to your food to cook/microwave/grill, remember to bring your condiments & seasonings plus foil/food storage bags, etc. There are really basic hibachi brush & tongs that you can use, but if you'll need your own charcoal, etc. if you want to grill. The Barbers Point folks have an "insect warning" to let you know that they do treat the facilities for insects, but there will still be "critters" that live here with us all. We've seen only tiny ants, and flying carpenter ants & termites. We grabbed a bottle of termite/carpenter ant spray at City Mill to keep them under control, after they had a party outside under a lanai light our first night here. If you they don't bother you or you don't intend to spend time outdoors at night (with the lights on), then you can leave the alone. We just wanted to discourage them from coming around, and most definitely want to avoid bring them home with us when we leave. I hope this review doesn't bring so much attention to the facilities that it becomes hard(er) to get a reservation, but if you have access, it's really worth it to spend some time here. With a little advance planning it's a great staycation location out in "the country". Enjoy!
