Yelp has a guarantee if you use the feature you could get reimbursed if you are not happy with the service. I was really happy and plan to use them again! Although JLK Cleaning didn't have many reviews I decided to go with them for several reasons. 1. Great Communication: The owner Michael had great communication. He would respond in a timely manner. I communicated with him through Yelp, text and phone. 2. Timing: My family is currently going through a lot of transitions. We were aiming to purchase a home in the summer when our kids were off from school. It didn't work out that way so I'm grateful for this type of businesses. 3. Oven: The biggest reason I wanted to get a move in cleaner was because of the oven. Michael did admit it was pretty bad but they could handle it. Michael and Ricky ended up cleaning our home and they did a great job! 3. Affordable rate: Thanks to a feature on Yelp I was able to reach out to several business. I could send multiple business pictures and information. It saved me a lot of time. 4. Availability: There were a few businesses that matched or less than the estimated rate than JKL Cleaning rate but they were able to fit us in the soonest. 5. Before and After pictures: Most of the pictures are from the business owner, but having that Yelp guarantee helped me decide to go with JKL Cleaning. 6. Great customer service from start to finish: Good communication. Services were explained and fulfilled. They did a walk through when they were done with my husband and son and explained what they did. Overall, I would recommend JLK Cleaning. We plan to use them again soon for our move out cleaning.

We booked a professional deep cleaning for our home for over $420. After the first cleaner, Britney, left, I initially thought the job was perhaps a B/B-. Once we actually had time to walk through the house, however, we kept discovering more and more items from the company's own deep-cleaning checklist that had either been missed entirely or inadequately cleaned. Among the issues we found: the kitchen had not been properly swept or mopped, portions of the kitchen appeared untouched, the entryway and a bathroom floor were not properly cleaned, baseboards and blinds were missed, cobwebs remained throughout the house and bathrooms, a ceiling fan remained dusty, the upstairs hallway and stairs had not been vacuumed, the kitchen garbage wasn't emptied, and multiple accessible areas underneath/behind furniture and other items were untouched. In the kitchen, edges around the stove and backsplash still had visible debris/buildup, and the sinks appeared to have been wiped rather than thoroughly scrubbed. We had also paid for an interior refrigerator cleaning add-on, which was not performed. We tipped Britney $24 in cash when she left because tipping a cleaner felt like the courteous thing to do. At that point, we hadn't yet realized the extent of what had been missed. To the company's credit, the coordinator, Anna, was receptive when I contacted her and arranged for a different cleaner, Ashley, to return for a corrective cleaning. The difference with Ashley was striking. Ashley was organized and professional from the moment she arrived, personable, extremely thorough, and had excellent attention to detail. She even identified inadequately cleaned areas beyond the specific ones I had asked her to correct. For example, I pointed out only two countertop areas, but after inspecting the kitchen herself, Ashley determined that all of the countertops and stove needed additional cleaning and took care of them. Ashley also independently noticed that the bathtub and other bathroom areas had not been cleaned well during the original visit. I ultimately didn't ask her to redo the tub because she arrived around 4 PM and worked until almost 8 PM correcting the first cleaning. After nearly four hours, I didn't feel it was fair to ask her to take on even more corrective work that late in the evening. We tipped Ashley $30 and she absolutely deserved it. Unfortunately, I'm now going to have to deep-clean the tub myself, which is especially frustrating because that should have been included in the service I paid for. I have a back injury, which is one of the reasons I paid for a professional deep cleaning in the first place. Having to scrub the tub myself defeats the purpose of hiring a company for this service and creates an additional physical burden for me. If Ashley had performed our original deep cleaning, I would have been satisfied. Unfortunately, getting there required me to spend my weekend inspecting the house, documenting and photographing missed areas, communicating with the company, arranging a second appointment, and having another stranger in our home for nearly four additional hours. That's exactly the kind of work and stress I was trying to avoid by paying over $420 for a professional deep clean in the first place. After I requested an adjustment, the company initially offered a $70 credit toward a future standard cleaning. After further discussion with the owner, they instead issued a $50 partial refund, which I appreciate. So this review is really two very different experiences: the original deep cleaning was extremely disappointing and did not come close to what I expected based on the company's advertised checklist. The company's response afterward was considerably better, and Ashley was fantastic. I appreciate Anna's responsiveness, the $50 refund, and especially Ashley's hard work. But ultimately, when I'm paying a professional cleaning company more than $400 for a deep clean, I shouldn't have to inspect and document numerous missed areas, schedule nearly four hours of corrective cleaning afterward, and still be left to deep-clean my own tub because of a back injury.
