Dr. Speed took our lil Toy under her wing and cared for him when others would not. He lived far beyond his expectations and even in the end Toy was handled with the utmost care by Dr. Speed and her staff. Her attention and kindness will always be appreciated by me and my family so much that we still seek treatment for our newest pets to this day. I cannot imagine anyone having less than a stellar service with TC. From the time you enter the door, you feel cared for and attended to as a person and pet. The following day someone always follows up with a phone call to make sure all is okay and they always fit us in whenever the need arises. In my experience they always explain the medical concerns and treatment plans thoroughly to me and allow me to decide when the expenses can be saved. Each review was telling my…read morestory from the moment I drove my car into the parking lot and the staff came out to assist me with removing my dog from my vehicle. They took one look at him and knew he was bad off. They immediately took my baby and rushed him to the back and begin working on him. They allowed me to stand there and observe everything they did to my King. I am a medical person and I am familiar with the processes of triage patients with emergencies. The physician performed a sonogram and began to tell me my options of care. I had to make the most difficult decision in my life. I decided not to be selfish and to have my King put to rest. This facility not only comfort me, but my family as well. They gave us a room and told us to take our time, they offered refreshments and continually checked on us. They just went out of their way with compassion and concern. I have never experienced this type of Customer Service in my entire life. It made me and my family feel heard and understood about our wishes. Once my family completed our goodbyes and they put our King to rest, they comfort my family, some even shared tears with us. They gave us things to remember our baby boy King that I will cherish forever.This hospital will always hold a special place in my heart. This is a place that I would love to work at and be proud to say that I worked there because each and every person who works in that building are Gods angels, and truly care about the animals that they treat. I will always be grateful. I know this was God's plan because it all went perfectly. Yes, I left without a dog, but I now have a new family that I would cherish with my other pets. They have everything a true feed store should. Customer service is second to none, Mitch knows his product. There's a feed store closer to my house but if you ask a technical question, or even if they have a product like a specific herbicide it takes so long for them to get the manager who often times isn't up to speed. Mitch is a walking encyclopedia of feed, herbicides, & everything else he sells. I dread the day he retires.

The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly dedicated to providing quality care for their patients. The reason for this review is not the quality of care, but the clinic's prescription refill policy. When attempting to refill our cat's flea and tick medication through Chewy, the prescription request was declined because our cat had not had an annual wellness exam. When I contacted the office to understand the reasoning behind the requirement, I was told that the exam was necessary to maintain the veterinarian-client-patient relationship. However, I did not receive a clear explanation of how a routine wellness exam for a healthy, three-year-old cat would impact the decision to approve a medication he has been safely taking for the past three years. Veterinary regulations may require periodic examinations before prescriptions can be authorized, and if that is the case, I would have appreciated a straightforward explanation of that requirement. Instead, the responses I received felt generic and did not address the underlying question of why the exam was necessary in this specific situation. For many families, discretionary spending is carefully evaluated. Requiring an $83 wellness exam solely to authorize a refill of an established flea and tick preventative adds a meaningful expense without a clearly communicated benefit. While I understand the importance of routine preventive care, I believe clients deserve a transparent explanation of the medical or regulatory rationale behind policies that require additional visits and costs. My overall opinion of Riverwalk remains positive because of the quality of care they have provided over the years. However, this experience with prescription refill policies and the lack of a clear & logical explanation has been disappointing and has changed my perspective on an otherwise excellent practice. When I hired them they assured me that they could handle my 13 yr. Old temperamental 15 lb…read more Maltipoo. I assured them I would medicate her and the first couple times they did a descent job,despite my dogs non cooperation. This past visit on Saturday was a different story. When they went to bathe her, she took the clippers into the bathroom and attempted to trim her face which was a big mistake.! I heard my pup shriek in pain and was then told she may have cut her eye, after seeing the blood around her eye and on her white fur on her face. That is when I saw the clippers in her hand. I told her I know it wasn't intentional, but she should never try to use clippers or scissors except at the grooming table where she has a semblance of control over the animal. Her husband then reassured me that she just nicked her skin near the corner of her eye. I couldn't tell because I am on crutches due to an injury. I let them finish the groom, paid them and tipped them and even reassured her that I was not angry and accidents happen. It was the way they handled the situation moving forward that caused me to write this. The next morning my pups eyes were filled with a white mucous and she could barely open her eye. I immediately called the vet and got her in. My daughter had to take off work to come pick us up to drive us because of my foot injury. I was told she actually sliced open both the upper and lower lid with the clippers and she needed both oral antibiotics and antibiotic drops. Also anti-inflammatory medication. Because she required drops twice daily for a week , no matter what, my daughter had to take an entire week off to be able to drive to my home to administer the drops. She also had to pay the $175.00 vet bill as I am out of work for 12 wks. Due to my injury. We also had to buy a small muzzle to keep her still and my son is also coming over everday after work to help my daughter with the drops. This is a complete nightmare for both my precious dog and everyone else involved! I contacted the groomers to let them know what happened and all tjey responded with is, "you will have to find another groomer as she is not a match for us." Are you kidding??? They didn't offer any apologies or offer any help at all with the bill. This was 100% their responsibility and they just disappeared!! I am so angry with how they handled this And this is why I am warning others who may be considering hiring them....Please DON'T!!! They ate too young and inexperienced! Also no integrity. They seem very nice on the outside, but beware of what's underneath the smiles and nice words!!!!
