This was my first time using a cleaning service. Wanted to spruce up the place before having an extended guest. I tried to call to make an appointment but no one answered. The machine just directed me to the web site. I was able to make an appointment fairy easily on the site and got a response in a few hours. Note that the time range you pick online is not the time between which you have an appointment but basically the time range they will show up. The appointment I made online was 12:45 -2:20pm. I received a confirmatory email the day before saying someone would show up between 1 and 2:20. At 2:18pm I got a call saying they needed to get lunch and would be by in 20 minutes. They eventually showed up at 3 and I had been waiting since 12:45 (some people have to work, You know). Even though I was quite annoyed by the timing, I have to admit that the 2 ladies that came did a great job. They were very thorough, cleaned everything from the televisions to the washing machines. I was impressed. I also appreciated the little touches like the way they folded the towels and toilet paper in the bathroom. They might do some re-arranging though, they rearranged the objects on our dresser. They cleaned from 3pm to 6:23pm (my apartment is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom in an average state of tidiness). The appointment was easy to make online and they had availability within the week. Jorge was responsive and gave our instructions to the cleaning crew. The cleaners just left and I am blown away by how clean our house is at the moment. I've used several cleaning services in the past and have always been disappointed. While the house was generally clean, it wasn't much cleaner than when I did it on a weekly basis. Aurora Maid, however, did a thorough deep clean and every surface in the house is sparkling. Jorge and his team are beyond professional, reasonably priced (a BARGAIN!), and have an attention to detail that I have not seen with any other maid services. They are always on time and very reliable. I trust them 100% to clean my home while I am away. My parents use a maid service who refuses to clean near things that are messy and will move on to the next room when they are uncomfortable with the level of work. Not Aurora. They take the time to not only clean the easy, visible surfaces but the places that no one would think to look (like the refrigerator door butter bin). They even went as far as to apply a treatment to our gross yellow tub to make it look shiny and new (a service we hadn't even signed up for!) I did not realize this was an option but Jorge recommended this and then did this treatment with a smile and positive attitude. They organize as they go and it is truly a treat to myself every time I have them over. I've used them four times (September, November, January, and March) and was scheduled for a fifth but the cleaning crew was late again. My experience can be summed up with one word: INCONSISTENT. 1. They are either late or call to request an earlier arrival (1-2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time) which can be very inconvenient. 2. The cleaning quality was excellent the first time, but not as good each successive time until I mentioned it to the company. 3. They are inconsistent with wearing shoe covers. When I asked the cleaners, they said they didn't have anymore that day. 4. They always used 2 crew members in my 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo but the last cleaning involved 3 crew members which costs more. The only explanation given was "We are not sure how many people will come for every visit." 5. Inconsistent pricing. Each time I scheduled, I was quoted a higher price. I had to email the company to get the original pricing. I tried staying with them because of their yelp rating but will be moving on to another company that can give me a 5-star customer service experience. read more

I had my initial cleaning with Aurora Maid Services yesterday and I cannot say enough in support of this company and the ladies that came to my house. Everything was sparkling and smelled so fresh. Not a spot of dust in the whole house. They even cleaned a grout smear in my shower that was left by a building contractor three years ago. I have scrubbed this spot a million times to no avail. When I came home last night, the shower looked better than it did when it was first installed 3 years ago! And the attention to detail - even my cat tree which was full of kitty hair looked brand new! WOW! All my wife and I can say is "Amazing"! We have 1 1/2 year old husky and she sheds like crazy. We've been at our new place for 4 months and do "normal people" cleaning. Soooo, LOT'S of husky hair in every crevice. We keep a fairly clean place, with exception of the husky hair which is unmanageable. I appreciate that there are different crews that work for the company and I may have just gotten an off-day. Again, the cleaning was above and beyond (inside the fridge...), so if that's the standard, then Aurora is great. Just be very clear on what services are expected or not expected before the cleaning service. Original: I'm torn in writing this review because everything is SO CLEAN. However, many things were moved and not put back to where they belonged. They moved a bookshelf and a dresser and left them in the new spot (I live alone, and had trouble moving them back), anything that was on a shelf somehow seemed to find its way to a new surface and tall things were placed in front of shorter things, the bar which I said not to touch was rearranged, beds were remade but not sure where the other sheets ended up, chairs were swapped spots. read more

I'm a single woman with only two dogs so it shouldn't be that hard cleaning up after myself....but, after starting a new job with long hours and hosting Satan's dog for 3 weeks, my place was out of hand. I couldn't keep up with the tumbleweeds that we starting and then the mushrooms started popping up and I knew that I needed a professional. I came to yelp because well, who doesn't? And there they were with great ratings and an easy scheduling system (I could book online using my phone....so my whip cracking boss wouldn't hear me not working), and what seemed like reasonable pricing - I was in like Flynn! I still had the devil dog (the actually dog not the yummy snack), so I made sure to book a week out even though there were plenty of days available. I've never had a cleaning service so I wasn't sure what to expect so I needed to speak with Jorge. I waited until my boss was in the bathroom (after I dropped Metamucil in her water) and went to the back alley to call him - he was WONDERFUL!! He answered all of my questions, told me a bit about what to expect, and even though I was a bit demanding about the start time (boss had scheduled a last minute meeting and well, you know, I was scared for my life if I didn't show up on time), he was insanely polite and nice. We even talked about future bookings, should I need them. The ladies showed up right on time with all their supplies in hand. My dogs were curious and the ladies didn't even flinch. By the time I could get out of the door, the oven was already being cleaned. And let me tell you, since I'm new at this, I was in shock! Not for any other reason except I've never even thought to clean the oven and because I didn't even expect that kind of service! When I got home that day, I was really excited to walk in. I didn't know what to expect but was excited to see what things looked like without the dog fur and chewed up dog toys all over them. I walked in and was so at peace. I no longer felt the shame and guilt of being mistaken for a hoarder. Everything was beautiful!! The floors were clean, I could see the TV without the dust, the dishes were done (yes, they did my dishes), and my shower was sparkling! Again, since I'm a newbie, I honestly thought that was all to expect. Oh, boy was I wrong! I went to the kitchen and noticed my ninja was sparkling! My blender, not my actual ninja (I keep him in the closet). I've been trying to clean it for months and it always looks slimy and gross. I blame the blender for me being fat, really, I do. I mean, it was gross looking and who wants to eat their smoothies from a gross looking blender that I thought was uncleanable? But I digress. Then I looked at my cute red Kate Spade kettle that has etching that says, "Whistle While You Work" and that kettle has been putting in overtime in the coal mine because when I left, she looked like she was covered in coal dust but when I came home, she was red and sparkly again! The microwave was even absent that ketchup stain explosion that I couldn't bring myself to clean because I was afraid of getting PTSD. But it didn't stop at the kitchen. The cabinet under the sink, you know the one you store toilet paper and unmentionables, was clean! I didn't even know it could get dirty!! My bed was made and perhaps even the bedding washed...things smelled clean and not like dog. I was suspicious so I checked out the washing machine just to see if it was still on the same "bulk" cycle I always leave it on when I do my one monthly load of laundry and it was set on del-i-cate? I have no idea what that cycle is for so I am sure there were items being laundered and I know it was the ladies because my ninja is lazy af! So, laundry, dishes, and under the bathroom sink?!?!? MIND BLOWN! So, if your semi-lazy and just find yourself in a bit of a cleaning pickle and by pickle I mean, in the bed all weekend long (even while eating your poptarts and beer), Aurora Maid Services are for you! Or if your just nasty and can't clean up after yourself, move out of your moms house and then hire Aurora! Great service! I'll be back! read more
