Really disappointed. I have been looking for a new salon closer to where I live and happened to find Aurora Salon with many great reviews. Upon booking they were nice enough to squeeze me into an appointment at the last minute and my stylist was very sweet. However, after a few weeks in - I've noticed some very severe unevenness. This is the first time I've straightened my hair since I got it cut and the layers weren't even separated correctly. On the right side, the layers are at least 2 inches shorter than the left and it looks like she just grabbed a chunk of hair without blending it at all. I've tried calling to express my concern and hopefully get a resolution but no one answers the phone. I had high hopes for this salon based on the reviews but unfortunately I would not recommend coming here. read more

I saw Aime for a Blowout. She asked all the right questions. It was the most thoughtful blowout that I've had. She listened and made great recommendations based on my hair type.  My hair made it through the humid night perfectly. The salon was clean and mostly empty at 3pm. FYI, I had the last appointment as they close at 4 on Saturday. The price for a blowout was also reasonable based on the exorbitant rates of nearby salons. read more

This is a review for the stylist Jessica Johnson. Wow! What a talented hair dresser and so professional and friendly. She was right on time for my appointment. After a brief consult, she washed my hair and then gave me such an amazing cut. I got a layered shag with bangs and then Jessica took the time to show me the best way to blow dry the bangs for that soft, feathery effect. This is a very very very bad experience , I had an appointment at 9 this morning to do a long hair perm, we had the price 110 for perm and 85 for hair cut . I even confirm with them , send my hair pictures and what I want to them in ahead of time , and they replied it is achievable. However after I arrived there , the hair dresser start to find a lot of different excuses that she can't do my hair . Jessica Johnson is an absolutely amazing stylist! I've been getting my hair cut and styled by her for the 10-12 years or so. Even thought it has been eons since I've lived nearby, Jessica is always worth the drive (even in Los Angeles traffic!). The one time I tried to force myself to go with a closer stylist (with a recommendation from a friend for an upscale salon in Santa Monica), that stylist even commented: "Wow, who cut your hair last time? They did a really good job!" It's even more impressive when I say that it had been at least one year or so since my last cut from Jessica. Not only does Jessica always do a phenomenal job, she's a kind person who has always been relatable - she even makes a socially anxious person like myself comfortable.
