Prices of their chorizo as of 6/24/2021

If you are still buying chorizo from store brands such as Cacique and El Mexicano, just stop. Stop hurting your body and come to Aurora's Chorizo because they make great tasting quality chorizo! I may not know the true difference between authentic versus non-authentic chorizo, but having had the best tasting chorizo from a wedding I attended in Guadalajara, Mexico, none of the chorizo at the supermarkets comes close. Have you ever cooked chorizo where it's a pool of orange oil and the chorizo still looks wet and mushy where you can't tell if it's cooked or not? Well, not with Aurora's! Aurora's Chorizo is leaner and retains its shape and locks in the flavor of the seasonings so much better than any chorizo I've worked with. You can't go wrong with any of their chorizo options here, but I recommend Chorizo Picoso which is the spiciest one they offer and the Chorizo Verde. Chorizo Verde is unique to me and honestly, the green is scary, yet intriguing. The Verde is comprised of green herbs and chilies (serrano and jalapeno) and it is the most fragrant/flavorful chorizo! My hubby and I loved this one! Chorizo here is so fragrant that on the ride home, our car was filled with the smell of the seasoning even though we kept it in cooler with ice and locked away in the trunk. Keep in mind they don't use preservatives so it's best to cook within a day or two or freeze it. See my photos for pricing! The lady who helped us was super sweet and friendly. She took the time to explain every option to us. I also picked up a Salsa Roja and Oaxaca cheese. Both were housemade and they are good! If you're in the market for Oaxaca cheese, try this one - it's fresh, texture is perfect, and the flavor is on point! $9.99/pound of Oaxaca cheese is a bit pricey to me, but it is so good compared to the ones from the market. I cannot recommend this place enough! I will only come to Aurora's for my chorizo needs from now on!

Chorizo hash on the flat top

If your looking for good quality chorizo, aurora's chorizo is where it's at. Whether you are grilling or cooking on the stove top the quality of the meat doesn't disappoint. You Can't find good lean chorizo like auroras chorizo in any other store. Not only do they sell chorizo but there small market offers a variety of pantry selections, fresh homemade salsa, fresh Mexican cheeses and sour-cream.

Grilled chicken chorizo on the BBQ. Chop it up lighly. Add avocado, crema casera, salisita and enjoy!!! I gobbled up 5

I Have driven past Auroras for a few years, always curious, never stopped. The hubs and I finally stopped by about a month ago. OMG!!!! The chorizo is the bomb. We have tried almost all of them however hands down the best is the green choizo and the red spicy. We just love spicy!! We now switched NG markets so that we can walk across the street and get our amazing chorizo and salsa perrona! In addition, to some amazing chorizo you can also find traditional delicacies!!! Don't miss out and stop by. The staff is super friendly, have gotten some great food ideas!!

There's no other chorizo like it in town, or in SoCal. Authentic ingredients and so well made!

You can tell it's a good spot cause the locals seems to be friendly with the employees. Tacos were on the smaller size but packed with flavor. We really liked the pork belly and asada. At 11 am to 11 pm, Tuesdays to Sundays, you will see the big red food trailer with the word "Let's Meats Tacos". There are seating area under a large canopy, which is a big plus! I came here for their Taco Tuesday special, which is $1 for asada and pollo tacos. The sauces here stood out for me the most. I have been devouring tacos at many places for ten years living in Orange County, especially Santa Ana. So my expectations are high, that being said. The sauces are flavorful and the meats are tender plus seasoned well. I like that they have the pickled purple onions with carrots, the radish, and chopped white onions, with other toppings that are usually seen at most taco bars. As mentioned before, try the orange sauce. And their green sauce.. if you're a daredevil, go for the red ! Will highly recommend their juices, the pineapple is my favorite. Also horchata.. did I also mention.. they have cozome?! (I don't know how to spell it).. but definitely ask for it with that tostada special menu they have!

I didn't mind waiting, but it felt like he was intentionally taking his time. When it was finally my turn, he asked me to meet him on the other side of the store, handed me my bag, and said I looked mad and could have the sandwiches for free. I told him I was happy to pay, and he responded by telling me to "fuck off." I was shocked and asked if he had really just said that, and he doubled down and told me to get going. I've been a regular customer for years, but after being treated like that by the owner, I won't be back. Ryan came across as someone who grew up with a silver spoon in Newport Beach and thinks he can talk to customers however he wants. Unfortunately, they just lost two loyal customers.

Well, let me tell you how I came to review El Charrito Meat Market. Their kindness alone deserves a…read more10 stars by itself. My friend and I went to the business next door, Boulder Laundromat. This laundromat has the nastiest worker I have ever encountered in any everyday business. I witnessed what I felt was the ugliest side of a human being. I wanted to test an electronic massager from a gentleman who comes to this laundromat regularly, but since the laundromat offers public power outlets, we simply wanted to plug it in and unplug it afterward. This woman would not allow it. She said she would call the police and the owner. The owner, when contacted by phone, seemed to agree with her. Because of the way we were treated, I will boycott this laundromat at all costs. We then went to the business next door, El Charrito Meat Market. They do not have public power outlets, but everyone there was very polite, helpful, and friendly. They even rearranged the place, cleaned the area, and laid down some cloths so that our massager wouldn't get dirty. To top it all off, when the outlet didn't work, they found us a different outlet and did the same thing again. That is kindness without boundaries. Just to allow us to use their private outlets (not for public use), they deserve five stars by themselves. They went far above and beyond what you would normally expect--this level of human kindness is mind-blowing. Ten stars!
