I once ordered 2 quesdillas from this place and they charged me 12 dollars each for some reason even though their listed price was 7 dollars. I asked why and the guy troed giving some stupid answer about the size of a quesdilla. I told him if that was the case, they need to update the menu price. This market is a hidden gem, amidst a small neighborhood, Reyna's market sells produce and serves a wide variety of food. I ordered 3 tacos with the handmade tortillas. I got pollo (chicken), al pastor, and chorizo tacos and a Fresca to wash it down. The flavor was very authentic, familiar, and fulfilling. Here in this Mexican place you can find everything for your house, food, snacks, drinks, prepared food, meat, sauces , guacamole, cheese , cleaning supplies, cooking supplies, toys, etc. The meat is so good, soft and easy to cook, is not expensive as other places, is not cheap either but fair price. This place is legit. Comparable to El Toro Bravo in Costa Mesa and definitely better than Original Taco Factory in Tustin (which I also like). The tacos were only 1.50 each which is pretty cheap. They fill up the tortilla with meat too so it's definitely worth it. I would recommend the Chorizo and Al Pastor. The picture I uploaded says it all. The meat was juicy and seasoned well. Service was surprisingly top notch, going out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our food and provide extra napkins. There are benches outside but it was raining pretty bad that day so we were just standing under the overhang. No indoor seating and the tiny parking lot sucks. We also go the made in house chicharron which is dangerously good. You'll definitely be sweating out fat if you buy pounds of this stuff. Summary: legit food, well priced and almost a steal and surprisingly good service. Edit: 2nd time I came the meat was really dry and disappointing. Shh don't tell anyone - los blancos estupidos like to pay twice as much for not as good tacos so long as the tacos are served in whitey-land. I've been in search of good street tacos in Santa Ana and was so excited to find this little gem. Maybe I ordered the wrong meats but I got al pastor & carnitas and boy, they were both dry, tough and lacked flavor. Plus, they charge 1.85 or so for a taco that's not even great. What I was looking for was Soho Taco. I was traveling back to San Diego and Yelping while driving is just as bad as texting so I was not able to read up on it as I went. All I saw it was that it was up ahead of me in Santa Ana, it had 5 stars with over 90 reviews so I sent it to Maps to get directions. When I arrived it was in the middle of a Latino neighborhood that did not look like one I would want to hang out in at night. Soho Taco was at the same address as the Reynas Market and it was obvious that it was a food truck that operated out of the location and not a taco shop as I had hoped. I had traveled a lot further off the 5 freeway than I had wanted to find this place so I decided to try the Reynas Market rather than to try to find something else. I am glad I did Reynas Market is a classic Mexican Market that looked as if could have been transplanted from the middle of Mexico. Near the door was a small kitchen with the signs printed in Spanish and small lettering below each item in English. I saw that they offered a tripe taco so I asked for it since I had never seen one offered at a taco shop before. The woman behind the counter did not understand my order until I asked for Tripas so that tells you I was in the real deal as far as Mexican Torta shops go. When she understood what I wanted she looked at me a little funny since I guess gringo's don't eat much tripe but I am game for just about anything when it comes to food. It was awesome. It came on a classic stone ground type hand made tortilla with two sauces, one red and one green. The woman behind the counter cautioned me they were caliente but being a chili head myself I felt no fear. The green sauce was the most interesting, it began cool but I think it was made from habanero because it ramped up fast and stayed with you a long time. The tripe was superb, grilled perfectly and with the right mix of cilantro and onion to support the two "not for the wimpy" sauces. I also has an Asada burrito that was very good and would have been worth a positive review all by itself but the taco blew past it and it in my estimation and is what I remember and want to go back for today. read more

My brother was craving tacos and we both hadn't eaten anything today and at the time it was almost 4... We Yelped this place and at first I felt uneasy about it because of the location. The Mexican market was very small, complete with a meat shop and a taco shop inside. We had to wait but it was worth it because we got to watch them MAKE the food in front of us. The handmade tortillas were delicious and so was the asada. Didn't enjoy pollo too much. The menu said tacos were $1.35 each but we were charged $1.99. Maybe because we chose handmade tortillas? My brother really enjoyed the green sauce saying "it's actually spicy." And I thought the red sauce had a strange smell but it tasted fine. I'll admit it, I happily dish out $3 per taco at the Soho Taco truck every time I'm lucky enough to spot it. When I heard that they're somehow related to Reyna Market, I made plans to stop by. I'm so glad I did. First off, the tortillas? (Handmade) are awesome. Flavorful, strong enough that you don't have to double up, yet softer than any other. Well worth the tiny upcharge from whatever their standard tortilla might be. We also ordered some of the pollo asado (different than the truck, yet still moist and delicious), al pastor (just okay, dense flavor but a little dry), and carne asada (better than the truck - better seasoned, tender). Months ago, we tried El Toro Bravo in Costa Mesa, based on the amazing Yelp reviews of their carne asada, and came away not just unimpressed, but repulsed. I don't know if I just have weird taste in carne asada, or they just had a bad day, but grey and flavorless meat gets thrown away. It was the opposite here... simply awesome. Of course, the green (jalapeño) salsa was there. I'd drink that stuff if I wouldn't burn up. Same chips too - fresh, thick but not hard, perfectly salted. There are a few benches and tables outside, where we were besieged by flies and some bees, but at this value, who cares?! I'm on my way home now, with a couple of pounds of the carne asada, pollo asado, a bunch of those handmade tortillas, and some menudo. Yes, this is in top of the tacos I already had. There was also some great looking chicharones and carnitas... Those will have to wait until my next trip back, and it will be soon. EDIT: Just got home with the menudo - yeah, I'll be getting more of that next time too. Stuffed from lunch and I can stop myself from taking just... one... more... spoonful. read more

The shrimp tacos and fish are as Mexican as they can get, and thats a compliment! The cecina tacos are by far the best of it's kind in Santa Ana. If you guys like pork, the chicharrones, which are deep fried pork skin with meat on, these are to die for. Just get one of their salsas and you might as well be in heaven. read more
