As an art store, there are already small aisles since the store is filled with displays. The customers that come in and out aren't the kindest people. There's pushing, shoving, and nonexistent boundaries. My only hope is for some sort of expansion so there's less exchanges of germs. As an avid collector, I'm still a fan and still adore this location. My only hint to visitors: park in the building next to Din Tai Fung for the easiest and quickest access to the store!

We came in within 30 days of purchase and spoke to 2 employees (a counter employee and the manager) about the problem requesting an exchange. I did not have the receipt, as it had been discarded after opening, but the manager had me entertain him by searching for a spot with good cell phone reception (providing proof of purchase within 30 days) and after all the time spent re-explaining the problem and finding a place in the mall with good cell phone reception, and logging into my credit card account, was still told there was nothing they could do about it. That is terrible customer service! Why would you waste a Customer's time and effort if you plan on not resolving the situation? I did not intend to pay over $30 for a poorly sewn product and do not recommend doing business with the South Coast Plaza Popmart store.

This is definitely one of the events on my Bucket list that I do not wish to attend ever again:( I was given a ticket to the sample sale of this company. When I heard sample sale, I expected something different... This is the first warehouse sale I have ever been to, so I didn't know what to do, to bring or even to expect. First. If you plan of buying a lot, bring a cart, some sort of cart will allow you to push it around instead of carrying all the clothes you picked up. It will get heavy, and I see people taking in more than 10+ items. Though number sounds small, it WILL adds up. If you come on time as written on paper, you will allowed in on time, not early. The sale was taken outdoor, so you have to walk a distance to get to the sale. I saw mostly boys/men clothes, girls are okay, not much of women. I actually don't recall seeing anything of women sizes. I saw a lot of flip flops for both genders, some shoes for women, more for men. There were a lot of swim suit for both men n women. Accessories were there too... Such as phone cases and little necklaces here and there. Overall, it was not much. Not for my taste at least. They do carry snow boots. The price of your clothes are based on weight, 10/12$ per lb.... It's not bad if you are a girl since clothes weigh less compared to guys clothes. Event was definitely organized, although there were many people there(100+) , it was very well organized and process went by fast! I was in and out right away.

The owner is a nice Asian couple. Their mochi goods are gluten free and they told us they source a lot of their ingredients from Hawaii!! They also have some samples. We ordered their famous mochi tarts, which had a delicious crispy/perfectly burnt/carameley bottom layer with soft and bouncy mochi layer on top. The banana bread also wowed us - it was like a normal banana bread flavor with mochi so it was incredibly moist and bouncy/chewy. They also threw in a coconut brownie thing for us which was amazing as well. Everything about these desserts are perfect including the texture and sweetness level!!

I am still very confused regarding the marketing of this "event". They had 1 booth to make your own floral bouquets and then a small Halloween backdrop for kids/animals. I didn't see anything self care related and it felt more like a ploy to get you to shop. I was hoping for a station with face masks, nail painting, charm bracelets, etc. I thought it would be more of a pop up type event. Either vendors dropped out or it wasn't actually an event. I still am unsure. The second thing to note is that it really felt like no one was working in the store. I saw one employee at the cash register, and that was it. Especially since it was an "event", I anticipated a warmer greeting or an explanation about the event. They had a box of donuts that said "help yourself" and some waters. Outside they had coffee and we paid $8 for a small, that was very small. The shop itself is a mix of various vendors - some homemade and some store bought. It did feel a bit overpriced at times and hard to determine which were actually handmade. But, it is an opportunity to help small businesses owners versus ordering from Amazon! The last positive to mention is that they offer a variety of crafts and classes on certain days and I'm really looking forward to checking that out.

And the service has always been so warm, welcoming, and encouraging. I've had the privilege of knowing Matt, Sandy, and Aja since they were 'Plant Matter' and now they're Pen Pals. There aren't alot of stationery places as it is, so I am so glad that this shop exists. Word from a carrier pigeon is that the Pen Pals will have an expansion of a brick and mortar store soon, and I can't wait for them to finally announce the location and be open with even more selection of goods. I frequent this place often to scout for stickers, and Pen Pals never disappoints.
