Poppi Seed Market gets 5 stars just on cuteness! This location is surprisingly huge with merchandise in every corner. I was really surprised by all the variety, like clothes for adults, kids and dogs! They also have a mix of handmade items too. I got so inspired by the section with all the party decorations. It's a great place to browse and get ideas too. A couple of the reasons why I'm not giving 5 stars include the fact that I went for their self-care Sunday "event" - which even had free tickets on the Eventbrite. I am still very confused regarding the marketing of this "event". They had 1 booth to make your own floral bouquets and then a small Halloween backdrop for kids/animals. I didn't see anything self care related and it felt more like a ploy to get you to shop. I was hoping for a station with face masks, nail painting, charm bracelets, etc. I thought it would be more of a pop up type event. Either vendors dropped out or it wasn't actually an event. I still am unsure. The second thing to note is that it really felt like no one was working in the store. I saw one employee at the cash register, and that was it. Especially since it was an "event", I anticipated a warmer greeting or an explanation about the event. They had a box of donuts that said "help yourself" and some waters. Outside they had coffee and we paid $8 for a small, that was very small. The shop itself is a mix of various vendors - some homemade and some store bought. It did feel a bit overpriced at times and hard to determine which were actually handmade. But, it is an opportunity to help small businesses owners versus ordering from Amazon! The last positive to mention is that they offer a variety of crafts and classes on certain days and I'm really looking forward to checking that out. read more

And even arranged to have my private birthday party there! We are glad to have been introduced to this pop up and are very pleased with what they have to offer! Cute vibes! Like an Etsy shop/makers market. Prices aren't terrible. Good place if you need a unique gift for (primarily) a woman, baby girl or dog. Also the one I went to was technically Irvine next to pavilions if that helps. read more

This review is for a pop up event by Paint My Buddy held at Poppi Seed Market. The event was a fundraiser for So Cal Frenchie Rescue which held a Valentines Day pup photoshoot. I reserved a timeslot, paid ahead of time, and was promptly checked in on arrival and had the best experience! It was Pennys first photoshoot and Sarah's team made the experience fun and not stressful. We were quickly set up in the adorable hot ballon backdrop, photos taken efficiently and I loveeee how they turned out. Ample parking at this storefront and we walked around to see super cute custom crafts inside the store. Can't wait until the next event! :) read more

I have come in to this establishment MANY times in their different locations as it's moved around Irvine and my family and I have spent a lot of money here over the locations and years. Each time despite barely being greeted, never being spoken to even when we're alone in the shop. That was fine. Whatever. The girl who runs the shop seems less than social even though she's seen me many times a week for months. That's okay, I understand. However, each time I've gone I've noticed more and more stuff from the Target dollar section being resold for $20 and up. Then more stuff from Temu being marked up 300%. Then suddenly the whole place looked empty and they barely had anything in it. I was worried and asked if they were leaving and was told no. They just needed more vendors. Then I got an email that they WOULD be leaving in May. Then I went back and bought a Taylor Swift inspired sweatshirt and was told by the woman who usually pours candles in the back as a paid activity that they would be having a TTPD release day event and that I should come buy the merch then and hang out. That sounded lovely and I eagerly awaited that day and received no more emails from Poppi Seed. For a month I was SO excited thinking about how I'd be going to Poppi Seed that day to attend and had a countdown on my calendar. I showed up today excited about the TTPD stuff I'd been waiting for and found that they'd be closing early for a "private event". Okay. No big deal. They were open and barely greeted me after I'd walked in and I felt so awkward because I'd shown up for what I had been told about. They ignored me while setting up their event and I walked around and started selecting my purchases from the TTPD stuff and after I'd chosen my items and even carried some of them all the way around the store to look at other items and come all the way back to choose more TTPD items, the girl that's always at the register said, "Oh we aren't selling any of that until the ticketed event. Do you have a ticket?" And I said no, I came because I had been told about today a month ago. She told me I needed a ticket and that she'd posted about it (where? Who knows!) and I could bring what I chose to the register and she would DECIDE "if" she would sell it to me. There had been no sign on any of the TTPD items stating that they weren't for sale and the items were in a huge display right in the front and center of the store so they were the first things you saw when you entered. They were open and it was well after their business hours started. They opened at 11am and it was 2pm so they had loads of time to have put out a sign saying the items weren't for sale. Or to speak to me and tell me that as I walked circles around the display picking up items for a long time 10 feet away from them. So I put my stuff down and let them know that I had changed my mind because every time I came in felt more alienating than the last and left immediately. I came because I was told about it and verbally invited with NO mention of tickets. No one said I needed a ticket and she had waited LONG after I had entered and been looking at the items and chosen a few just 10 feet from where she had been sitting to tell me that she wasn't going to sell any of the items to me. I will never ever return. I felt increasingly awkward and horrible and unwelcome every time I've come and purchased hundreds of dollars in items over the months. Once I even came on a minor holiday where the sellers were having drinks and a little pot luck in the front of the shop by the register and I had come in to shop and they treated me like I had been interrupting their party. There is nothing that would get my business back to this place after months and months of worsening experiences and no attempts at even moderate customer service that I excused and dismissed repeatedly. I spent lots of money there anyway and that's on me. I gave many, many chances and that's also on me. But this was the final straw. Usually, I try desperately to be as understanding as possible to all possible situations. Maybe they had a bad day. Maybe they're having a rough time. Except I've run a very successful business and worked LOTS of customer service and this was egregious and over the course of 7 months. Theres no coming back from that long and sustained an issue culminating in treating me the way they did today over the TTPD items after I've come in at least once per week for those 7 months and spent far too much money there because I live so close by. This review is undoubtedly the first time they'll learn my name. They have no idea what they're doing and don't care to learn. I won't ever come back. I'm glad they're leaving in May. Do not come interrupt their little private parties, they don't want your business, they only want to spend time with each other and treat the store like a clubhouse while charging you tons of money for stuff you (and I) should just be ordering directly from Temu. read more

Poppi Seed Market is so cute and fun to stop into. There are several local vendors with so many cute clothes, accessories, home decor, and so many other unique and handmade items. They also offer classes, usually with a really fun theme- like a recent Wicked Candles and Cookies workshop. There are usually pop-ups with rotating coffee vendors on some weekends and themed portraits for holidays and special events. read more

I was so excited to finally pop into this store. And what a disappointment it turned out to be. I went in this past Saturday evening (10/12) and was in the front part of the store a whole 3 mins before there was any acknowledgment of my presence...the reason? The employees were all congregating in the middle part of the store discussing politics and bashing people who did not align with their political preference. Particularly, the woman with long blonde hair, going on and on about people being idiots if they didn't vote the way she wanted. It was extremely uncomfortable. After I walked where they were all standing around, I assumed they would have some professional courtesy and stop what is a very private conversation that has no place in a business like that, but instead the blonde woman just looked me up and down and continued on her tangent. It was BEYOND shocking and uncomfortable, as there was a young girl finishing up painting and other customers walking around. I had every intention of supporting this small, woman owned business, but was left so uncomfortable by the conversations going on and the lack of customer courtesy that I walked out. In today's climate and with everything going on, the last thing a consumer wants to hear while enjoying a lovely Saturday of shopping, is the talk and bashing that was going on in this store. I don't care what side of the political fence you are on, it's uncomfortable and inappropriate to have the conversation in a customer service atmosphere. I hope the owners' are able to teach their staff to be better and have some professional courtesy when in the work place. read more
