I was minding my own business walking around the store with my older sibling and my younger brother, looking at the different items they had. My little brother was playing with one of the Labubu hair products when an employee came up to him and said, "You've had enough fun. Let's not ruin the product." We understood and immediately stopped. After that, though, the employee kept following us around the store, which made us feel very uncomfortable. My brother eventually said, "You don't need to follow us around." The employee then mumbled, "Why don't you shut the f**k up." When my brother asked him what he said, the employee denied it and claimed he was just doing his job. He then asked where our parents were. I called my parents over, and as soon as they arrived, the employee ran into the employee room. When my parents asked about him, another employee claimed she didn't know who we were talking about. This was strange because we had just seen the two employees talking before he went into the back. Another customer who overheard the conversation said they only heard the employee tell my brother not to mess with the products, but that wasn't the issue. The problem was that he followed us around the store and, from what we heard, cursed at my younger brother. I don't know whether he was profiling us, being discriminatory, or simply being rude, but his behavior was completely unprofessional. I would not recommend purchasing any items from the South Coast Plaza storefront. We purchased a few of the skull panda blind boxes and within the first two days of having the toy pendant, one arm fell off and then within the week, the second arm fell off. We came in within 30 days of purchase and spoke to 2 employees (a counter employee and the manager) about the problem requesting an exchange. I did not have the receipt, as it had been discarded after opening, but the manager had me entertain him by searching for a spot with good cell phone reception (providing proof of purchase within 30 days) and after all the time spent re-explaining the problem and finding a place in the mall with good cell phone reception, and logging into my credit card account, was still told there was nothing they could do about it. That is terrible customer service! Why would you waste a Customer's time and effort if you plan on not resolving the situation? I did not intend to pay over $30 for a poorly sewn product and do not recommend doing business with the South Coast Plaza Popmart store. read more

As I learn more about Labubu, the process of getting one of the Big Into Energy Labubus or ones in other collections seems more complex. I was able to get the figurines at the store for a price which seemed fine, but to get Baba or Hope or some of the other cuties required downloading the app. Provided you are given the chance to claim a Labubu or Labubus, and you pounce on it quickly, the shipment is going to the address you give. Pop Mart did not give the option for in-store pickup. Labubu is not as popular these days but I still like mine. The store in itself is fine, albeit crowded when stopping in on the weekend. Pop Mart carries a lot of the other merchandise, but I'm not interested right now. read more

This is the OG POPMART location that I first started going to and started my love for Pino Jellies. Over the years and through the hype, this POPMART is constantly busy and packed. As an art store, there are already small aisles since the store is filled with displays. The customers that come in and out aren't the kindest people. There's pushing, shoving, and nonexistent boundaries. My only hope is for some sort of expansion so there's less exchanges of germs. As an avid collector, I'm still a fan and still adore this location. My only hint to visitors: park in the building next to Din Tai Fung for the easiest and quickest access to the store! read more

PopMart is a collectors dream as well as a thorn in your side. You will experience highs and lows when searching for popular items. At the moment, PopMart's best selling item is basically anything related to the Labubu craze! I have read mixed reviews for various PopMart locations, but we've only visited the Costa Mesa store. The store itself is very small and at times, you'll feel confined. There isn't a lot of space to move around when the store is busy. However, they are great when it comes to organizing traffic flow so that people can get their items quickly and easily. As stated before. the Labubu plushies etc are their top selling toys. Most of the time, they are sold out. Many of us follow their social media posts to see which items will be available in the store. They will also update their page when the items have sold out. However, their social media page has been down since last week, so a lot of people have been showing up at opening to see what is available. Yes, there is a small line outside of the store as people wait to see what they can purchase before others show up. If you follow your local PopMart page, on the main website, you can see what is launching. If you are successful with checking out in record store time, you will have 24-48 hours to pick up your item. If you don't pick it up within that timeframe, your order will be canceled. This is standard practice at all of their locations. If they are launching a popular item, they typically won't answer their phone. You pretty much have to show up. They do get tired of answering the same questions over and over again, so they may come off as being a bit short with people. However, they've always been pretty helpful when I've asked questions. I really like PopMart as it's full of many surprises. The best items are usually sold out, but I still love coming to see what they have on display. This is the location that is closest to where we live and every time that we have come here, the transactions and experiences have always been smooth. If anything, you can always stop by just to see what all of the hype is about. They have a great variety for avid collectors. read more

I used to love coming here to see their new collections and admire the quality of their PVC toys -- but after today, never again. The staff greeted us from both sides, and I thought, wow, service must've improved. A second later, both girls started following me -- literally one on each side -- all the way to the back. When I stopped to look at a display, they stood less than 1 ft away. And when I walked from the back to the front, they followed us all the way to the entrance. Every plush had a sign saying "Smile, you're on surveillance camera." The whole thing felt creepy, like being constantly watched. I Where's the privacy? Stop following paying customers and maybe pay attention to the ones hanging around doing nothing. So yeah... not coming back. The human surveillance vibe was invasive and disrespectful. There should be a crowd control with lines because you literally have to dive through people to get to what you want to check out. People who are not buying or looking need to GTFO. The employees that work there probably hate their life and I'm thinking they work there cause maybe they get discounts or something. Today was just awful as there's no interaction between customers and the staff. They didn't really direct traffic well and changed where online order pick up is and where to purchase in store. I've had much better interaction from 3rd party sellers at their store locations who take a lot of pride in what they do and are excited to talk shop. It's also very crammed in the store and not a place you want to be around lately. To buy what they say you can buy you must download an app. To get them to give you what the hell you paid for after the first few bs hoops you have to find some magic QR code and ask for a manager to give you what you paid for. I spent $216 and my daughter spent $50. The Asian guy with the bad mullet was trying to rush us to pay, then got annoyed when we were ready to pay. He was they Uber annoyed bc we have an email for their pop mart rewards program. He rudely said "you know if you would just get the QR code is more better and more easier"....then why give the email as an option if you hate to type in an email address? I spent $216 on a sealed blind box of 12 figures. I asked for a bag to which he replied with a mocking side eye "sorry, no bags, bye" Uh, thanks? Just bc your store is hot now, doesn't mean it will be forever. The girls that have rung me up before are great and always strike up such nice conversation. I've seen a lot of negative reviews about them being rude, but it's not something I've experienced. Ruined the Blind Box Experience. Their website clearly states than you can open the blind boxes at home- even the "Pop Now" option. It's specifically worded in the FAQ that you can choose to leave the surprise to in person. I prefer opening in person- so I took this option. I received a shipping email that ruined the surprise. I tried working with their customer service but after TWENTY EMAILS they are still copy and pasting a bland response that directly contradicts their own website rules. This is the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. I am enraged every time they copy and paste that response- and they are expecting me to just give up. I will never get my money back- and now they are taking my patience. PopMart, if you are reading this, SHAME ON YOU! How dare you ruin the fun- it's your job to delight us and here you are treating your customers like dirt. You should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

This was the first Pop Mart I have seen, so I was blown away by the different sets of blind boxes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars POP MART SKULL PANDA DOUBLE DUPE I went into pop mart today and I purchased an entire box of skull panda my little pony for my daughter. When I was paying at the counter the staff member advised that we should video the unboxing in case we receive duplicates. I asked what would happen if we received a duplicate. The staff member advised that pop mart would replace the entire box. Shortly after we left, my daughter unboxed the skull pandas. There was not one but two duplicates. I promptly took the box back to pop mart to organise a replacement and then when I arrived, The girl who served me initially was not working as she had finished for the day. The store manager reviewed the footage and said she would order a replacement for the skull pandas we didn't get. I was like um no, we were told the whole box would be replaced. The manager said no, only the ones we didn't get would be ordered because you are guaranteed those ones in every box. I told her that was ridiculous because firstly, Pop Mart is not supposed to know what is in a box and secondly our chance at getting a secret was destroyed because they threw in two duplicates. The manager refused to help me at all. She took my name and number and told me she would call me when my replacements arrived for the two dupes. When I was leaving the store, I saw her throwing my number in the bin. She has no intention of calling or rectifying this matter. The entire premise of this store is misleading and deceptive. They know exactly what is in each box and they are all full of duplicates. There is no chance of getting a secret. This is just a gimmick to get you into their store to buy their over priced junk. stay away from this store and their products. They have no respect for their customers read more

I came back inside the store 5mins later to purchase another Labubu and another girl was at the register, my boyfriend wasn't with me, the girl asked me if I had a membership and I said no, and she told me I couldn't purchase a Labubu without the membership, I told her that I had just came inside the store and my boyfriend bought two of them without a membership and she just stayed quiet and I had also told her I've been to other pop Mart's and they never said that a membership was needed and still wouldn't let me purchase it!! This is one of the best shops that I have had serviced on- I had a phone call to a Supervisor name Lea and she was quite helpful the other day. I asked her if she does shipments on call long ago and she said yes, she told me the process because I am from SJ and she said that she never had a problem having a package that is damage. I received my package and she was right!!! She does packaging very very well where everything is all covered and pristine!!! (Go request her for shipping ur stuff lol) I came down to see my sister in SoCal and I got to meet her in person. She is nice and caring and she told me about all the products here. The price wise is a little expensive but worth the price if you like to gamble lol! Minimum blind box is $14.99 and max is around 19.99. I really love it here and there are many varieties of artist in the store. She also said there's a new GC on instagram to join for announcements.
