Yay! Jamaican food in the area!!! First I had the veggie patty and it was great! Very well seasoned filling and the crust was the perfect texture. Then we had the curry goat and the brown stew chicken for dinner. The brown stew chicken was really delicious, the rice and peas was just like we make it at home, and the steamed cabbage was great! My husband had the curry goat and it was pretty good. The fried plantain was perfect, not super oily like some other places. We're both Jamaican so our standards for Jamaican food is pretty high and while it wasn't perfect, it was pretty close. I will for sure be returning over and over. Plus, the grocery store there has pretty much everything you would expect from a little Jamaican grocery store. read more

I wouldn't eat here again. Curry chicken is bland. I didn't know chicken that was TOO tender existed. Rice and peas were over cooked. Cabbage was over cooked. It was all like mush. I went at 6pm. Hubby said the jerk chicken was too spicy and too soft. And we love spicy. My second time trying. The first time I got a beef patty and rice and peas w/ curry gravy and they were super bland. read more

Targets is my favorite spots to go for oxtails, I love them. My daughter & I have been well known customers there for a couple years, they actually know us & notice when we haven't been by in a while. That was the onset of COVID-19, we basically stayed in for a while. Aside from the oxtails, the rice & beans with the gravy brings all that West Indian flavor out not to mention the plantains made perfectly, the cabbage reminds me of my moms cabbage I so it's all a hit for me, my daughter loves the stew chicken with rice. They also sell meat patties, various drinks along with some speciality items for those who want home taste & seasonings. There's a small area for staple items too. They close at 8pm, we've learned the hard way to Ofer on time. It's always a good vibe, good service & good tasty food. My only issue & it is mine sometimes we eat late & have to forgo Garvey for another eatery that's open. read more

I love those hidden gem types of places; this is definitely one of them. This review is a long time coming, considering I went almost everyday for a week roughly a year ago. The location is a perfect entrance and exit, and it is never packed, which is surprising, because the food is delicious. They have a wide selection, and I believe they mix it up every now and then depending on the season and what is available, exp. fish. They have a grocery store inside, which is awesome if you want to take some of the amazing flavors that they have home with you. I am in love with their meat patties; always fresh, always warm, and always feeling. The staff is always friendly, and are knowledgeable about their food and the products they carry. The prices for the food and the groceries are insanely affordable, and if you are in the area I highly recommend that you check it out and dig into the various menu items that they have; you will not be disappointed. read more

Hidden gem for suuuure! Upon my arrival I wasnt even sure if they had food, just patties and a small selection of grocery items! But hiding behind the counter was some of the best curry chicken, potatoes, cabbage and rice & peas i've had in a while!!!! The food here is DELICIOUS! Like the other yelpers mentioned, the portions are really good sizes! I ordered a small and still had plenty left over for lunch the next day. I can't believe I'm the first to review. All my people love this place. Rice & peas. Oxtails. The have all the usuals. I'm not a huge fan of Jamaican / West Indian food - so this is a review by proxy. My buddy is on her way to pick up a call in / take-out order right now. It took us over an hour of googling "Jamaican food 30064" and "Jamaican food Powder Spring's Road" - with no results other than Natty's on Powder Spring Street. We finally had to do a Google map search for a nearby intersection - then go to 'street view' - then zoom in to see the actual name of restaurant. Hopefully this review will give them a web presence and provide bread crumbs to help others find them. The strip mall / plaza is a little sketchy. And there are lots of dudes standing around outside - possibly patrons of adjacent barbershop. Strong, strong smell of herbal refreshments - but hey! It is what it is. ;-) read more

They have lunch specials as well as dinner options. The portions are big and the owner is always nice and pleasant. It's a carribbean grocery that also sells Jamaican cuisine. It's located in a small strip mall adjacent to a barber shop. It's at the light by Hurt Rd. I highly recommend this place for some home cooking Jamaican food! read more

Hands down the best island food in the area. My favorite meal is the brown stew chicken with beans and a bean patty. The plate has to weigh 4lbs and it's enough to feed my family of 4.
