I am not one to write reviews, but I am extremely bothered by this entire situation. I ordered a 22 person party bus from this company and I spoke with Chris. He sent me beautiful photos of a 22 passenger bus with wood floors, leather seats, coolers, and more.  I paid for the bus almost a month in advance and couldn't wait to celebrate my sisters wedding on it.   The bus arrived to our house and it was spray painted black with "Vegas Style" and graffiti all over the bus. "777", slot machines, cards painted all over the bus. The inside smelled like MARIJUANA with ash trays in the bus, a striper pole and more graffiti.  At first I thought it was a joke -- like you must have the wrong house because I didn't order this.  It was extremely embarrassing.  My sister looks at me confused like "did you really order this bus?".  I called Chris and he was very apologetic and acknowledged that they had clearly dispatched the wrong bus -- it was a 20 person bus (instead of 22, so smaller) and the bus sent wasn't even one listed on the website. I don't even know if it is in their fleet. Chris assured me he would make it right.   It has now been 6 days since the incident. No communication and a COMPLETE SCAM. It's honestly insane these people are in business. Well, I that is their model ... take your money and then scam you and ghost you. No help from the company. It's not right, and not how I expect anyone with integrity to do business. I am not asking for a full refund, do something to make us whole.  This was a VERY expensive bus that I purchased and the bus we got was NOT it.   I would not recommend renting from them ever. Must update my review for anyone who's considering doing business with Adventure Party Bus. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Chris promised and quoted a Mercedes Sprinter. He took my deposit via Venmo of $400 and we were booked. As the day approached, I tried to call Chris, but the number was disconnected. He gave some excuse about it be forwarded and mailbox was full. I asked for the driver to contact me to confirm all the details. The driver did, and I asked him to send me a picture of the Van. We'll, he sent me a picture of the Las Vegas Party Bus. I reached out to Chris, and he said the Sprinter had mechanical trouble and he could, under the contract, replace the vehicle with another. That would be OK if it turned out to be true. But that's for later. The large, tacky bus showed up with Bill the driver - who was fine, but not amazing. He did the job because it was F1 weekend I had no other option to take our Homecoming group out. But I just had a bad feeling about the whole thing. So I put a hold on my credit card so Chris could not charge it. And that started the truth to come to light. I learned from the owner of the bus - who is not Chris' employee - just a guy with a bus trying to make his money. Chris contracted with the Vegas Party Bus people shortly after I made my deposit. There was NEVER going to be a Sprinter. What a scam. He's so shady. He should be put out of business. I'm filing a claim in small claims court and with the BBB to try and prevent others from falling prey to this unethical scammer. read more

We read the bad reviews about Chris and this company not showing up for the jobs but we took a chance, and we have a book job booked for 4/23/22 for a sprinter limo at 11:00 a.m. We have numerous communications with Chris by text and email, guaranteeing us the Sprinter limo would show we'll give you an update. Although Chris didn't take a deposit from us, We offered several times but didn't hear back. Will give you an update after the limo rental and give you an honest opinion. Austin Bus Adventures was exceedingly difficult to work with. I asked questions over a two week period and followed up several times with no response. When I told them I wanted to cancel they immediately reached back out with a lot of excuses and convinced me to stay booked. This was a mistake as they didn't show up with both vehicles (we hired them as a shuttle service and one of the shuttles just never showed up). The vehicle they did show up with was dingy and I heard several complaints about the driver making people uncomfortable. When I brought up these issues they said they would look into it--two weeks later and I have followed up twice and still haven't hear back from them. This company is absolute garbage. We had booked them to take a group of 18 girls to and from the house we were staying at and had given a deposit of $250 via venmo to reserve this. We were supposed to be picked up at 10:00 am , as we had a boat reserved for us at 11:00 am. No one ever showed up, no one called us back, they decided to email though letting us know that they "just saw our email" and proceeded to never give us a call to let us know that no one was coming. This left us scrambling to call Uber's at the last minute, and also left us without a bus for the ride home. It has been 3 days and we still have not heard a word from this company. What a way to run a business. I hope if you're reading this you stay far away from this horseshit company. You're better off walking. We will also be reporting them to the BBB. read more

I drove for this company April 29,2022 at last moment. They had booked this trip and did not have driver so I agreed to take trip. Chris was making all the arrangements with me and customers. Chris quoted me an hourly wage. I drove the trip. The bus was old, door would not open or close, back-up camera not working and speedometer not working. During the trip Chris negotiated a longer trip. I did accept a nice tip but expected to receive my hourly pay. I did not complete route until 6:15 am customers were very happy. Found out that bus was subcontracted with Garcia bus company. Garcia did not pay for all the hours I drove and paid at lower rate. Garcia stated that he was cheated by Chris. Chris is not even professional enough to respond to my calls. This company has no ethics or integrity!! I will give updates on my progress to get paid. read more

I made the unfortunate mistake of booking a party bus for a bachelorette party with Austin Bus Adventures a few weeks ago. From start to finish the entire booking process was extremely frustrating. Communications with Chris were inconsistent and unprofessional. Trying to book a party bus several weeks in advance was like pulling teeth, and it took multiple emails and calls to finally get all of the details squared away on the day of our event! Chris initially sent us photos of one type of bus that would work for our group. It took multiple emails back and forth to get our questions answered, and many times I had to send follow up emails after days of no response. By the time we tried to book the bus, it was no longer available for the time we had specified. I wish it had been made clear that the availability was time sensitive, and I got no sense of urgency whatsoever from Chris during any of our communications. Even trying to make payments for the booking was frustrating. They required to pay the deposit via Venmo, which I really did not like. It felt unprofessional and like this is not an established business. I also was uncomfortable sending my credit card info over email. My request to pay over the phone was ignored, and I eventually filled out the form with my credit card info after days of hearing nothing and our event fast approaching. I then received an email from Chris asking that I pay the remainder of our balance for our reservation "tomorrow" when in fact the reservation was for that day! I sent an email back with clarifications and didn't hear back until the next day! Thankfully, our party bus did arrive for our event. The day after, I got two emails from Chris, two phone calls, and a text from another person named Shaun saying that they never received my payment. I had to text, call, and email multiple different people to confirm that they did in fact have my card information and could have processed the payment days ago. Absolutely no attention to detail and really careless customer communications. As far as the actual bus experience, our driver seemed very annoyed when our bride to be asked his name upon our arrival. The woman who accompanied him and I believe who handled communications for the night via text was very nice and helpful; that was one of the highlights. She was the only person during this whole ordeal who I actually felt was helpful and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. The bus itself was fine, but having been advertised for a group of 12 people, we found it was pretty crammed and was difficult to fit all of our legs in the middle area between the seats, and REALLY hard to move without crushing any toes. I feel like it would have been better for 8-10 people maximum. Overall, I wish we had gone with a different company. The bus was, like I said, fine, and it was a fun experience for our group, but the overall nightmare of communication with this company was a huge deterrent, and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I booked this company for my daughter's bachelorette party. Booking was somewhat easy, but poor communication as I kept trying to confirm we were all set and got no response. The bus was 30 minutes late and when we sat down there were crumbs all over the seats. At one point during the night we asked the driver to pick us up but he replied he couldn't because he was getting something to eat and had just parked the bus. The next time we asked him to pick us up he replied he couldn't get the bus to start and was waiting for the mechanic. The bus seemed old as only half the lights were working. Complete scam. Took our deposit but never showed the day of our booking. Had to scramble to find Ubers and ended up being late to our boat. Impossible to contact until days later. They finally refunded the deposit after pressing them claiming "the bus broke down." Another couple days later we got an email from "Shaun" now claiming the bus was totaled and the driver was in the hospital, unbeknownst to him. Has anyone tried to get in touch with these guys lately??? My brother is getting married next month, and I'm in charge of the bachelor party. I started investigating party buses over a month ago, and reached out to Austin Bus Adventures (among others) due to the great reviews. I sent 10+ emails back and forth with who I believe to be the owner, Shaun, negotiating rates and the date. 2+ weeks ago, we came to an agreement via email, and I sent in the paperwork with all the details and my credit card info. Today is April 9th. I haven't heard from ANYONE since March 21st. I have left 2 voicemails, sent 4 emails, and even submitted another website form. I have 20+ guys counting on a party bus to pick them up two weeks from this Saturday, and can't get Austin Bus Adventures to return my calls or emails to confirm. I understand Shaun was traveling, and it's prom season. I wouldn't even hold it against him if he decided to take another party out that night, but simply not responding is unprofessional and leaves me stuck between a rock and a hard place. I rented these guys for a trip to Lake Travis. Natalie was our driver and she was 20 minutes early. Perfect, because it allowed us to load up the bus early and give some extra time for those stragglers who can't get anywhere on time. It takes someone with some patience to deal with a bus full of party animals, and she drove it like a pro down the sketchy loading dock to our boat. No problems on the way back either, all went smoothly and according to plan. The only reason I wouldn't go five stars is that my friend left her expensive sunglasses on the bus (bad move to bring them in the first place), and when she called a few days later it turns out they had been found but no one ever contacted me, and now it's not really clear where they are. I realize my friend should have called sooner, but it would have been nice if they had called me when they were found. It's a small distinction between very good and excellent service here, so it's kind of a nitpick. I would definitely use these guys again! read more

If i could give these people no star I would. I book them 7 months in advance. I got there party bus for my wedding and they did not show up. I decided to call about 20 minutes after the time they were scheduled to be there. No one answered the phone despite many calls, texts, and voicemails. We ended up having to Uber everyone. I finally emailed them and they responded that they did not have another available driver until 3 hours later than originally schedule. I told them that's fine and to come to our location to pick us up. They did not respond and still have not responded to my email about a refund. They only respond to my reviews but not actually doing anything about a refund. Do not book with them!!! read more

They returned one email the day of the no show saying they "saw our email" but then never called us to let us know if they were coming or not. They never showed up so we have to get 4 Ubers to take us 45 min away. Now it's been 3 days and they haven't sent our money back or responded to any outreach attempts. This company took underage high schools children's money then sent them a bus that was leaking really badly inside from the A/C. Dauggters dress got stains all on it from the water/freon that was leaking. They also sent a very young driver who DID NOT even have his CDL to drive this big bus full of children for prom. The bus did not even look like the bus in the photos on the website at all. Had big dents in it on the outside, bumper hanging down on one side. The whole experience was a nightmare. Some Parents even had to call the Police on them. They even stole my daughters new umbrella, and another girls new purse was missing as well.. when they came out from eating dinner it was all GONE!!!! Turned them in to the BBB. They would not respond to a request to refund these kids some of their money or replace items stolen. I would NEVER use this company, they are crooks. They have NO class!!!! read more

Terrible company. DO NOT USE. I understand the bad reviews now. After a team of hard working employees waited over an hour for the bus and after about 50 phone calls we connected. They said that the bus had "broken down earlier in the day". What really....why was there no call???? So they take your money and don't show up. Then then contact a "third party" and send out a driver that says they will be there in "35" mins. I would advise highly to use any other company than this. My friends and I rent this bus, for $3200. Very gross and unappealing bus. The speakers didn't work and things were broken. We rent the bus for 6 hours just to have it strand us in downtown Austin. The reason for this was because a couple people were intoxicated (not all), but he still kicked EVERYONE off and said he'll be back at 10 pm. I ended up seeing the driver again that night smoking a blunt outside. AND THEN he tries to stick my friends and I with the costs of the damages that were done before we even got there. Where my girls and I were patiently waiting to get weird. After 4 bottles of titos, 3 little people, a stuffed buffalo and zero inhibitions. Out night went off without a hitch. I had a horrible experience with this company last spring. I had a very large party of around 400 relying on the buses to them to the destination in a fun timely manner. This did not happen, not only did buses go to incorrect locations and refuse to take people back, but some bus drivers were extremely rude and unaccommodating. It not only caused me a ton of personal stress, but made the group experience very unpleasant. read more

The bus was 5 minutes late but they let us stay on an extra 30 minutes free to make up for the late arrival. The driver was courteous and well dressed. Everyone in my group had a lot of fun. We didn't know what we were going to do, but the person that answered the phone helped us plan a really great night. We went to 3 different areas of Austin and between bars we drank on the bus. It was like the party didn't have to stop when we left the bar. The bus was clean and for how many people the bus could fill, it was way cheaper than Uber. read more

Austin Bus Adventures charged us in full for the service but also gave our credit card information to the other company. Austin Bus Adventures should have paid the fee since they already charged me. It resulted by being charged in full from BOTH companies. I have left messages and sent emails to Austin Bus Adventures but they refuse to even return my phone call. Do NOT use them unless you want to be ignored and double charged. read more

We rented a bus from Austin Bus Adventures for our after-party following our wedding reception and it was one of the best decisions we made!!! The bus was early and super accommodating - it was just one giant party! We had no problem playing fun music and our driver went and dropped us off for an hour by some bars, then picked us up and took people back to their hotels. We had the 50-60 passenger maroon bus, and we had about 45-50 adults comfortable sitting/hanging out on the bus. It was a hit with our wedding guests and a great way to spend time with our friends after the wedding - we highly recommend them! read more

Our bus had no air conditioning! So, it was really uncomfortable, especially on one side of the bus where the fan didn't reach. We were all sweaty and couldn't wait to get off of the bus. Our driver was fantastic, safe accommodating and very apologetic. The inside of the bus was pretty worn and did not appear very clean. When we called to ask for a modest credit because of the lack of air conditioning, they refused. That's pretty poor customer service. We won't use them again. read more

My friends and I used Austin Bus Adventures for a river trip. I had called several places to get pricing and had originally selected another company. Chris (one of the owners) called me back and talked me into using his company. I'm in sales so I appreciated the personal follow up call. The bus that picked us up had a broken AC. The driver let us know we would be switching out the bus. She drove us to a random location, where we unloaded all of our stuff and reloaded the other bus. This bus was larger, but did not have a working AC either. The driver's AC worked so she decided to press on. The radio also went out. We stopped about 5 minutes from our destination and the bus BROKE down! The door would not open because the battery died. We all had to climb over the passenger seat and exit through the passenger side door. I called Chris and the main line immediately and no one answered. I was able to get in touch with the operator of the replacement bus (Jericho with Texas Limo & Bus) to let him know we were broken down. Thank goodness a patron at the gas station offered to give us a jump; otherwise, we would have been waiting for a mechanic to get there. Although the bus was running, the door would not stay closed. We had to tie a bungee cord to the door and to the handle inside the bus to keep it closed. We were 2 hours behind schedule when we finally arrived to the river. I never received a call back from Austin Bus Adventures. I reached out via email and Chris responded with an apology. I did not receive a refund which I felt was the very least he could do. I would not recommend using this company for any special occasions. read more
