I contacted them and they said they would look into it and then responded back that my insurance didn't pay since I reached my maximum. So basically the woman who sold it to me at the beginning just flat out lied to me so I would move forward with the Invisalign. Such a shady practice...don't believe anything they tell you about price on the front end.

I received a dental cleaning and general check-up from Swish Dental Mueller Alamo a while back (~2…read moreyears ago). Although I arrived late to the appointment (went to the wrong location in Mueller first), they took me in almost immediately. The office is incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing. They play some music for you, and each exam room has its own TV for you to watch during your exam. Further, everyone working with me during my appointment was incredibly thorough - they took x-rays, panoramic 3D scans, and pictures of my teeth, went over the details of my teeth and what the appointment would entail, and answered every single one of my questions. I also needed to get new retainers to wear at night. To be clear, I did not need Invisaline to correct crooked teeth, just retainers to wear at night (I had braces several years ago and just needed new retainers). At first, I was feeling good about the process. Swish used a camera to take images of every surface of my teeth to then create the retainers. However, when they gave me my retainers a week later, they were not created correctly and literally pushed my teeth into different places and made them crooked. I suddenly could not even close my mouth. After 2 days, I came in to get new scans to figure out what was going wrong. Gone was the cheerful and pleasant attitudes I had previously experienced. The people working with me basically told me it was all in my head and nothing was wrong. I insisted that they overlay the new scans onto the ones from just 2 weeks prior, and the difference was obvious. My teeth had shifted considerably. The retainers were all wrong. Luckily, Swish agreed to remake my nighttime retainers in a way that would push the teeth back to how they originally were, for free. However, this was after a lot of stress on my part, and frankly, lying on their part. I believe that the retainers cost $600-700 in total, and they came with 2 pairs (so 2 top trays, 2 bottom trays). Fast forward to this year, I just called to get a quote for my partner, who needs new nighttime retainers. They quoted me at over $2000. We'll be taking our business elsewhere, and I highly recommend proceeding with caution to anyone coming to Swish.

I also had a filling recently replaced here, they numbed my face so much I couldn't blink, yet still somehow felt the tooth? I also had jaw pain from where the anesthesia was placed for three days. I have unfortunately had a lot of work on my teeth and have never had this experience. I also have been told appointments would be one hour and have been there for 30 minutes before even being taken back. That appointment I ended up being there for two and a half hours and ended up just walking out of the room because no one came back in for 15 minutes.

Yes, my appointment was from 10-11, but it got started at 10:50 The teeth whitening was one of the most excruciating pain I've ever felt. I was actually wondering if it was suppose to feel like torture. Apparently, my mouth guard wasn't in place and while I was left to my own device, I was also suffering away as my gums burned and burned. I wish someone, anyone had just preface - that BURNING is not normal. I was almost in tears by the time I jump out of my seat and nearly ripped off the mouth guard, and whimpering before the tech came to check on me. My bottom gums were all either bleached white or burned. Invisalign is a huge investment - my invoice 7k or over from Swish and I really think that your local dentist could do it for cheaper (the discounts/deal isn't great bc they have such a high mark up), and you probably won't be tortured and left with WHITE GUMS after a simple whitening.

We don't have endless time to sit around. Came in for a crown replacement and literally sat in the dentist chair for 30 minutes waiting for numbing to take effect. They said dentist got caught up doing something else (which I thought meant like 5 minutes) and didn't show up for another 25 minutes! Before proceeding with the operation Service really needs to improve. People have lives and can't just sit around waiting all day.

This place instills fear in patients with unethical money grab practices and pressuring patients for same day procedures. I came here after getting on a new insurance and could no longer go to my old dentist as he was out of network. Reviews were overall good for this place so I figured I'd give it a try. I was having no oral pain or discomfort, just knew I was overdue for a cleaning. I was told I had multiple cavities and stage 3 gum disease. The way I was told about the gum disease was extremely bizarre. After the examination, the dentist showed me a chart with the stages of gum disease and images for each. She asked me where I thought I fell on the chart. I guessed one of the lower options and she then decided to tell me I had stage 3 gum disease (on the higher end of the spectrum). I was so caught off guard by the approach and immediately felt extremely uncomfortable by the way that was shared with me. They pushed for me to get treatments same day but I knew I needed to GTFO. I got a second opinion from another dentist and he was shocked at the approach and alleged work I needed done/ disease diagnosis. My new dentist says I just need a good cleaning. I'm really glad I went with my gut and didn't let them pressure me into getting work done that day. Get a second opinion before consenting to any work!

They have TVs in each station with headphones so you can watch Netflix during your cleaning and procedures- it makes a difference! They also have weighted blankets and pillows so you are comfortable. The lobby also features sparkling water, cold brew on tap, and espresso pods- too bad Im never kept waiting long at this practice! They are great at sticking to appointment times. They also offer 2 hours of free parking validation which Ive never gone over during a visit. My first experience was with Invisalign. I had done 18 months of Invisalign with another dentist and was not happy with the final result. Dr.Jacobsen helped me fix my bite and smile with an additional round of retainers AND was able to get my insurance to cover the fix-it treatment! It was amazing! Cleanings are always painless, and recently had my first cavity filling here (boo) but it was incredibly painless. I also like how they had identified problem areas in prior visits but didn't drill - I was able to correct my flossing and add in a fluoride toothpaste and not have to get any fillings. Overall have been super happy coming here!

I love that they have noise cancelling headphones, overhead TVs, and are very mindful of people with dental anxiety. All of the hygienists I've seen have been excellent, and Dr. Barclay is great! I have not had any issues that others have mentioned (upselling, misdiagnosed cavities, etc) In fact, I haven't gotten a cavity since I started coming here! I needed to get some extensive dental work done recently (implants) and Dr. Barclay made me feel confident in the process. My only complaint is that it is really hard to schedule a cleaning here. You must schedule your next appointment 6 months in advance, otherwise, it's almost impossible to get on the schedule without a last minute cancellation. Luckily, for other visits I'm usually able to get in pretty quickly. I have had a mis-scheduled appointment here on accident, and feel that the visits can sometimes be rushed as there are so many patients at a given time
