We took our recently purchased late model RV to Shoreline to get everything checked out, see what…read moreneeded repair or replacement, and fix the generator. We told them we needed it in 20 days or so for a trip. They apparently replaced a lot of parts on the generator but couldn't get it to work before we had to leave for our trip. So who knows whether those parts were necessary. They didn't even start working on the inspection or replacing missing bulbs until the last possible day. They said it was ready to pick up but when we got there, it wasn't. They had just done the inspection and were replacing lights. They identified several things that would have been good to fix, but they didn't have the ability to fix them. It would have been nice if they told us these issues with enough time to take the RV elsewhere to get fixed. They had us waiting at their shop for 2 hours, even until after close, while they finished working on lights. As we sat there patiently but getting increasingly perturbed, they eventually gave us a Bass Pro Shop giftcard and said they hoped we'd leave them a good review. The next morning when we set off for our trip, we no longer had interior battery power at all, and would continue to have no battery power until we finally got it fixed at a competitor. That meant no interior lights at all while we drove. We paid Shoreline over $2000 and basically all we had to show for it was a few fixed exterior lights, and few new generator parts for a generator that still didn't run, and a broken electrical system for our cross-country trip. Epic waste of money. Instead of bribing customers with a $25 Bass Pro Shop card, they should try improving their service, hiring mechanics who can fix generators (or declining to work on them), and not waiting until the very last hours to do a job. We will not be going back and have luckily found another place to take our RV for service.

I hesitated to write this review because I've know David through the local chapter of the VMC for a…read morewhile. But, as another reviewer said, David is a really nice guy, but he and his work are not reliable. After two failed jobs in a row, I have decided to quit using his shop and just do myself. I had to redo it any. The first case was with an oil change. They didn't tighten the oil filter and my bike leaked oil all over the garage. That would normal for some bikes, but not mine. It doesn't feel the need to mark it's territory. For what ever reason, I couldn't get it to stop leaking by just tightening the filter. I had to drain the oil, install a new filter, and put new oil in. At the time, I thought, anyone can have a bad day and it's an easy mistake. So a few months later, I take it back to him for another oil change and air filter swap. I also spoke to him about the previous oil leak. I get the bike back and no oil leak. But.... while riding I would catch a whiff of gas on occasion. I check for leaks and didn't see any. Over the next week of going back and forth to work, the gas smell appears more often, is stronger, and when I get to work, I smell like gasoline. Still no real sign of a leak though. Then I get a check engine light, and error code that could mean a lot of things, and I find the leak. Unfortunately, it is a pencil stream of gas and I'm on my way home from work. Work is two blocks away and home is 17 miles, so I make it back to the office and call a tow truck to take us home. In a nutshell, you have to remove the tank to get to the air filter. There is a high pressure connector that has to be taken off the tank as you remove it. It's a delicate affair as indicated by me breaking the host connector on one occasion. When I lift the tank to get to the hose, the connector from the tank is just sitting in the hose, not snapped in like it should be. The air filter was completely soaked, so I used this opportunity to upgrade the air filter with a high performance one and put it all back together. My wife was a lot of bit angry, both at David and at me for taking it back to him after the oil filter leaking. David is knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and seems to know what he is doing, but he lacks attention to detail. At least that's what we called it in the Nuclear Navy....You can be smart and know the answers backwards and forwards. But if I have to go back and either redo your work or at least recheck it, I might was well do it myself. And I don't trust his work anymore.

It took them two months to finally give us a quote for State Farm insurance. They had our boat for seven months, constantly stringing us along with lies and excuses as to why it was taking so long to repair our boat. They told us that they had a buyer for the boat and had actually gotten a substantial deposit to secure the purchase of the boat, none of which turned out to be true. When we finally had had enough of their BS and lies, we went and got our boat back, only to find that they had not finished the repairs that we had already paid them for, but they also somehow managed to put 70+ hours of use on our boat. Moe bragged to a good friend of ours that he "drives the hell" out of the boats on his lot until his customers come back and take their boats. We have another friend that told us he was using our boat to party on the lake. We are seriously considering legal action.

These guys know what they're doing. The owner Johnny came out along with Marine Corps Vet Dan and off we went. There were many small things to do but Dan also discovered my clutch was about to break! It was frayed and about poo! He went into Austin same-day and still managed to finish before end of day.
