This place is top shelf. The place makes you want to lay down and take a nap on every bed...the layout is great and they encourage you to lay down and have a drink while you're browsing. My wife and I loved the mattress that we got and free delivery didn't hurt either. What was best though -- I have two energetic little girls, and Isaac and Shane encouraged them to go jump on the beds. That's a kid's dream, and I appreciated that they understood and made space for them to be in the store too. Highly recommend. read more

I needed a new mattress and didn't have a lot of time to shop around. I ended up at Urban Mattress based on other positive reviews online, and the reviewers were not lying -- it was a great experience all around. Isaac was super helpful in explaining all of the options, then told me to take my time testing and comparing all of the mattresses. I didn't feel any pressure to buy, but I did end up picking out and ordering my mattress that day. Delivery was great too - smaller time window than most deliveries and they called me about 45 minutes in advance so that I would know they were on their way. They moved my old mattress too so I didn't have to worry about that, and took away an old box spring I no longer needed. I've had my mattress for a few weeks now and am loving it. I'm glad I went with a quality mattress with natural materials. They have lots of options to meet most price ranges starting around $1,000. If you are in the market for a new mattress, I highly recommend supporting this local business. Shane is terrific. I bought a nice mattress here three years ago and when there was an issue with it, due to the manufacturer not Urban Mattress, Shane fix the problem right away, at some expense to him. My wife and I were very impressed with his decency and customer service, two things that I don't encounter as much as I would wish in the era of automated phone surveys and online deception (to think we almost bought an online mattress last week, until we went to the store and realized that they're really more expensive and less impressive in person). Great experience overall. Isaac helped me find a really nice mattress within my price range, and I never felt pressured to buy. He even told me to shop around and compare prices - I did, and found a few similar options for slightly less money at the big name chain mattress stores. However, the mattress Isaac showed me was made with natural fibers and materials, which was not true of the other stores. I ended up going with Urban Mattress because of the excellent customer service, quality product, and the fact that they're local and donate 2% of your sale to a local non-profit. The only downside was that I had to wait about a week and a half for delivery... They get shipments on Fridays and apparently are usually able to make prompt deliveries, but the model I wanted had already been promised to someone else that week so I had to wait for the next shipment. But the actual delivery process was very smooth and I couldn't be happier with my new mattress. read more

I wanted to make sure we really loved our mattress before posting this review-- good news, we do! We made the mistake of buying a Saatva, comfort unseen/ felt, so I vowed to find a brick and mortar where I could test the mattress before buying. I spoke first with Shanon who had no problem with me lying on the mattress for a full 10-minute trial (pillow and all) and helped me narrow it down to 2 based on my gripes regarding previous mattresses. I next met Shane, the owner (while trying the mattress for the third time), and he was just as approachable and helpful! In the end we ended up choosing the highland mattress and are very satisfied. The ONLY downfall, if you could call it that, is the mattress's height-- it's about half as tall as our previous ones, but the comfort and overall experience outweigh it! read more

Decided to finally buy a mattress from something other than one of those discount mattress chains you see on the side of the highway. I went in early on a Sunday and Isaac helped me find the perfect Mattress for me. He asked about how I sleep, what my preferences were and then supplied a few mattresses to test. He didn't hurry or pressure me at all: In fact, he encouraged me to spend 15-30 minutes on each mattress to really get a feeling of how I liked it. 80 minutes later I had selected my mattress and Isaac worked with me to get the best possible delivery date. They also donate a portion of the sale to a local charity: The Boys and Girls Club in my case. I received my mattress on time and the guys took my old mattress away at the same time. Highlights: Free beer (Live Oak Hefeweizen), 2% of every sale goes to whichever charity you choose (from a list), great customer service all around, and they're local. That's a damn good combination. I went in looking for a cheaper mattress and Isaac showed me exactly what I asked about without trying to up-sell me or throw out financing pitches. I went in to browse but ended up buying and it was delivered the same day. I hadn't gotten around to putting the mattress bars on the new IKEA frame I bought, but the delivery guys did it for me! When the mattress and box springs were put into the frame they sat way too high (This silly pants didn't even think to measure). I called up Isaac and he set up an exchange for a shorter base board which happened the very next day. Now I have the hardest time getting out of my new cozy bed to go to work. Difficult review to write. On the whole this is a great local business. The service was great and the mattress is great. If you are considering financing a mattress be wary. The company they work with to do the financing are a nightmare to work with if anything should go wrong. My account was accidentally overcharged by urban mattress thus putting me without my knowledge over my credit limit. This only came to my attention when my credit score dropped 49 points. Unfortunately, this still has not been rectified and there seems little concern other than "what do you want us to do?" from urban mattress. I empathise that mistakes are made, but full responsibility should be taken for them. I've wasted a lot of time trying to fix this with their financing company to no avail. This was one of the most luxurious shopping experiences of my life. Isaac treated us like kings as we decided to make an adult decision and buy a non-secondhand mattress.
