I had a coupon for me and a plus one to have a reserved seat for free at the Dell Diamond, and I wanted to take advantage of it. I convinced my buddy to go with me to an opening series game where the Round Rock Express faced the Gwinnett Stripers. We agreed to go on a Wednesday to get our dollar hot dog night on. You know how that goes. Of course, going to every sporting event feels like they are going to nickel and dime you. It's $15 for parking, so if you can carpool, I'd highly recommend it. Beers range from $12 for domestic to $14 for craft. Everything is pricey. The hot dogs still remained $2 the whole night. Selfishly, I ate 5 over the nine innings. I didn't eat much through the day, and a decent ballpark dog was calling my name. As for the actual game, it was over by the second inning. The night was very windy, so no balls had a chance to go yard. The Stripers scored 6 runs at the top of the 2nd and it was 7 scoreless innings for the Express. Ay caramba. The nice gentleman in front of us was at the game with his wife and gave us good conversation. We watched kids rabid for the flying foul balls. Sometimes the game isn't even the most entertaining part because the stadium has a story of its own. The hot dogs were very nice. At a dollar, they could be lukewarm, soggy, and wrinkled, but they were dense, flavorful, and actually pretty good. Sometimes I wonder if dollar dogs are cheaper and they probably are, but you couldn't fool me. They weren't jumbo quarter-pound dogs by any means, but they were a normal quality-sized wiener. I drank a draft of the Love Street Blonde, one of my favorite common craft beverages, and got a can of Michelob Ultra from a very nice hawker that I obviously tipped. I just don't really like Michelob Ultra, I realize. I took a stroll through the Dell Diamond before leaving and there's a lot of cool spots from their yard in the back, which is great for just relaxing during the game, though the view isn't the most ideal for the action (great for bombs though). There's a full bar as well with baseball simulators and TVs showing other games, but if I'm paying money to park and watch a game, maybe that's not the move IMO. Regardless of the Express getting rocked by the Stripers, I had a great time and want to return to more Express games this season. As a young adult, the deals on weekdays are too good to pass up. Thursday might be a move in the future for those $4 domestics, $7 drafts, and cheaper food options around the park. Maybe next time the Express will get more runs than hot dogs I ate. For the price (you can buy any seat, just can't sit in them) it is well worth it. The parking is an additional $15 on top of ticket prices but for around $45 all in for the two of us plus our dog, the value was great. When you arrive at the park you pay for parking via workers with a mobile payment processor. There are a lot of parking options for all sizes of cars. Since we were doing Bark In The Park we were asked to park at the Right Field Gate parking which was no hassle. Getting into the park is very smooth, short lines and quick workers make sure it all flows well. Once in you are greeted by a very pretty and clean ballpark with a great outfield lawn area. When you have dogs you are asked to stay on the outfield lawn area which is no issue, but do be prepared to have a struggle finding a good spot to sit as other dog owners fill in. Lining the atrium in left field were a number of dog vendors offering treats, bandanas, etc which is another big plus. The whole park is very nice and intimate giving that true minor league ballpark feel. We also snagged some free beer samples and food including churros, shave ice, and a corn dog. All were reasonably priced and pretty tasty for stadium food, can't say anything bad about it. Before we left we stopped by the team store to grab some merch since we decided we'd be coming a few more times this year. The merch can be pricier but that's pretty much par for most sports merch spots. We would highly, highly recommend anyone with a dog in the Austin area come check this out. It's a perfect summer outing for any furry friend and their owner.

The chairs are designed to not be hot, which worked. * It was a breeze to get in the stadium, even with the Seatgeek app not being easy to use. The ticket takers said they have issues with the Seatgeek app all of the time and just waved us in. * The food options are unique and local. Sure, they were a bit pricey but so is a hot dog at Cowboys Stadium. It was nice to have the local restaurant options in a pro sports stadium. The bad: * Parking situation was not thought through by stadium mgmt. They were way understaffed for fans with parking passes, which made getting into the parking lots take forever. * The food options were good, but the quality of the food was subpar. They need to use the cooks/staff from those restaurants (not hospitality workers from Levy) to prepare & serve the food - as then it will match the quality expected. * The games start so late (8pm) due to heat that a lot of the crowd started to leave midway through the second half. * They are overcharging for their tickets. I get this is their inaugural year, but the prices were much higher than what you would pay at another, comparable pro sporting event. The seats they listed for sale, that I guess did not sell to season ticket holders, had crazy high face values like $350+. They need to charge a reasonable price to attend, if they want fans to come out multiple times per year. * I hate to complain about the action on the field, but I hope the owners get serious about getting some players who will help the team score goals and be competitive. I will go back and think they are on verge of a good thing - but they need to get some of these issues cleaned up to make this team a mainstay in Austin.

This stadium can fit 11K people for a high school game although there's other high school stadiums in Texas with bigger capacities. They do replays on the screen. Parking is free. Tickets are $9 to sit on the home side. Recommend sitting on home side to view a great half time show produced by the students from band and drill teams. Recommend going to a high school football game in Texas, it's more theatrical than other high school games out of state with good participation from the local community, bands, drill teams and student body. Lines are a bit long for concessions but restrooms were fine, not long waits.

Parking in lots and garages is limited, but there is some free street parking (yes! Biggest shock of my life!). We were very early seeing as how parking was so easy and the gates were still locked. After a few minutes the gates were unlocked and we were inside. We started by stocking up on gear. We found the athletic store, grabbed a hat and scarf and moved on to the snacks. The grab and go was perfect. We got hotdogs and popcorn and drinks, placed them on the reader and paid. The attendants were very nice and helpful. Since it was raining and the seats were wet, we were told we could sit up in the dry seats while we waited out the rain. The wet seats weren't bad until that 60 degrees started to feel really chilly. As they say, there's not a bad seat in the house. Definitely looking forward to coming back for more games!

The good: Stadium is small so there really are no bad seats. It's weird trying to find a spot, we ended up parking on the street for free, so I don't know if it's really a bad. The crowd was pretty chill with the exception of some kids going nuts, but that was a lot of fun to watch. Overall, we enjoyed the game and the stadium. We can't wait to return for some SEC conference games.

For the price I would've appreciated if they included atleast one add-on such as slime or crafts. 3. It is a very tight window - 1.5 hours with only 30 mins in the private room.
