Our first time trying Austin's Cattle. This place is big and has plenty of parking. Location by I75. Exit 16. Upon arrival we were welcomed by 3 very young hostesses (teenagers) it took a bit to get seated. They were trying to figure out the sitting chart. Our server Zachary was very knowledgeable and took care of us by getting our drinks right away and few minutes later took our order. The menu had quite a few items, but it wasn't overwhelming. Definitely a steakhouse theme here. (Be aware there is a lot of taxidermy in the restaurant) mix with western memorabilia. We ended up ordering appetizers, salad and soup. We ordered the seared Ahi Tuna-this was outstanding and seared perfectly! The french onion and potato soup was good. Wished that my potatoes soup was more hotter. The salad was fresh but we wished that they were bigger (We barely got any lettuce, It was kind threw together very fast and missing the lettuce) My grilled shrimp was borderline burnt and salty-The pink dipping sauce was delicious!!!! The loaf of bread is cowboy sized but not enough butter-We got a small scoop. Prices were a bit high on some of the seafood. Everything we ordered was good Overall experience was ok.

This was all the gristle that came on the Delmonico steak. Maybe had 4 ounces of meat.

This use to be our place to go, but the last two times we have been here, it has been a big disappointment. We will not be going back. Spent almost $100 for just the two of us and the only decent part of the meal was the desserts. Our waitress was fantastic but she couldn't make up for the lousy food. Thank you Devon. The picture is of all the gristle on the Delmonico steak. Maybe got 4 ounces of meat for $35! The rest was inedible. My chicken sandwich was way overcooked and dry. The tomato slice was very unripe. The baked potatoes were so overdone that we couldn't even cut through the skin with a steak knife. No thanks. Won't ever be back.

Austin's has been a staple in Valdosta as long as I can remember back to the 80s or early 90s. I came here this week with my daughter and grandkids as I live in Athens and don't get a chance to get out much and most of the time I'm down in Valdosta we eat at home, but decided we wanted to go out and we chose Austin's because we wanted steak!! Arrived and got a table quite quickly , and landed in the middle I guess, this place is huge, and we got a six top table with three adults and three small children. Our server Marla ( I think I can't find my receipt.), got our drink orders and some fries for the kids to be entertained quite quickly while we looked at the menus to decide what to get for everybody. She was a great server and took great care of us so thank you for the great service upfront!!! I was actually shocked at the pricing of the steaks and prime rib as they were well below market value in Northern Georgia. So I opted for the 10 ounce fillet., a Caesar salad salad and some vegetables, while my son-in-law got the 12 ounce Delmonico with side order of grilled shrimp. My fillet was bacon wrapped, and when I made the first cut, I drooled.! it was perfect! Then I tasted it. It was more than perfect.!! Literally the best steak I've had in years and I am a Chef! The Delmonico steak and shrimp were juicy , had a totally different flavor from the fillet and was delicious!! My daughter also has a 12 ounce Ribeye( the Delmonico , which is named after the restaurant and the way it is cooked, but it's a ribeye). We had enough steak to split for the kids., but got them a couple of order of fries and we did start with the buffalo chips, which are a must have! These are homemade chips with blue cheese crumbles and buffalo sauce and are the bomb!! My kids and I have loved blue cheese potato chips since visiting our most favorite old Diner in Buckhead, Atlanta and make them at home all the time! The 10 ounce fillet was only $34 which I thought it was a great value in 2025 !! I don't want them to raise prices but the same steak up here near Athens, Georgia would be 55 maybe $60. Even the 16 ounce primary was under $40 and is the best prime rib you'll get in the southeast anywhere.!! Austin's is a staple, unfortunately for me it's off the beaten path when I get into town so I don't go out there much but I'll be back again within six months now that my memory is jogged on how good it is. Restaurant is expanding where they are and if you are looking for a steak , or burger and sandwiches and other things they offer, you will not be disappointed. Great service , great food , great memories . Highly recommend.!!

    The complementary bread was amazing!!

On my goodness! From the front door to our table, nothing but sweetness & nice employees!! Caytelee was our amazing server!! She had recommendations as soon as we sat!! He had the cold beer and I had the Luke's Punch, so good!! He had the New York strip with BP & he said it was delicious! I had the amazing perfectly cooked ribeye & garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was just so good!!

We were seated immediately and our server Christy was prompt to take our drink order. We ordered peach drinks that were delish. We both ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Christy was attentive and friendly. The place was busy but not packed making it easy to talk across the table. Definitely worth the venture off I -75 in Valdosta to have a great steak dinner.

The food was great & the service was even better! A great Southern meal with a wide selection of drinks as well as delicious desserts & appetizers. Recommendation: Gator Bites, French Onion Soup, Steak Tips, and the Country Fried Steak!

I have been here before YEARS ago. Its always been pretty good but let me tell you, thier new location... I dont know if they have new cooks or anything but PLEASE if you want a good steak, GO, RUN! I got the ribeye with salad and mashed potatoes and I also got the ahi tuna appetizer. Absolutely DIVINE! My craving for a perfect steak has been 100% satisfied! However, I might be in trouble because I already want to go back! 10/10 recommend Emily, our server, was super sweet as well!

The bread tastes like cardboard. I call it depression era bread. I get it's cheaper than their old bread, but it has no taste.

Every dish we tried was delicious, and it's easily some of the best Ethiopian food I've had. That said, be prepared to take your time. The ordering and food preparation process is very slow, and during our visit the "servers" were literal children. We ended up spending close to two hours there, with most of that time waiting for the food to come out. If you're in a rush, this probably isn't the spot. But if you're willing to slow down and enjoy a relaxed, unhurried meal, the quality of the food makes the wait worthwhile. I'd absolutely come back, just with patience and no tight schedule.

I also added the cheesecake sambusa. Everything was outstanding. The watermelon fries were such a refreshing start. The beef tibs were deeply flavorful and tender. Each of the sides had such great flavor profiles! I first tried Ethiopian food about 12 years ago at a place in Portland, Oregon, and I've been wanting it again ever since. When I saw this restaurant open here in Valdosta, I was genuinely excited to finally have it again -- and now I wish I had gone sooner because I've clearly been missing out. Even as a pickup order, the service stood out the staff was personable and inviting. Everything was carefully packed, warm, and clearly made with care. And the cheesecake sambusa? Unreal, the perfect way to finish the meal. I can't wait to go back and make this a regular spot for my family and me.
