We called the store, but because we had not bought the extended warranty, we had no options. They told us they could not send a technician for another two weeks! ===========Frantic that we would lose all our products, we looked online for a local repair person, this was at 8 PM! - Robert answered right away! He assured us that he would be there the very next morning. Not only was he prompt in coming to our home, but he did a thorough examination of the problem and gave us two options. The cost was high but his quote was accurate and fair when we saw the work he had to do! We decided to go with the full purchase of a brand-new upgraded compressor. Anyway, ((the next morning)) he came right on time and spent a good three and 1/2 hours putting in the new compressor. He is highly knowledgeable & skilled technician! He came very well equipped, did a very thorough job, [placed special plastic] under the wheels of the refrigerator to ensure floors would not be scratched. He was very efficient and everything was cleaned up in a timely manner. Then, he gave us clear instructions as to how long to keep it running before adding food back into freezer and said he would be available to come anytime if we had any further issues (1 year parts and labor). I asked the tech to park at the end of my driveway as not to block it, and he parked in the middle. He used my powder room to wash his dirty hands and go to the bathroom and left water all over the counter and the floor--I had to use a bath towel to clean it up all of the water. The area around the dryer that he fixed was a complete mess. Most service people ask if they can help clean up--he told me that he had never cleaned up after a job before.
