I hate to leave 1-star reviews but honestly it was a -5 star experience and I do think this establishment has fundamental issues with how they do any customer service. They were initially great, they work with my insurance at Farmers so I brought my car in, met with the front desk rep, Breana who was very personable, and I thought I could just trust them with the repair process. WRONG!!! SO SO WRONG!!! 1. Bait & Switch/ First off, verbally, I got an estimate of maybe 5-6k verbally when I brought my car in, and then got an paper estimate of 3k officially... If the estimate was 5k or more, I would've just taken an insurance cash out payment and gotten my car repaired at Tesla but I know I couldn't get my car repaired for 3k at Tesla. So I feel that they did a bait and switch... My final total for the repair was 5.5k... much higher than the original estimate and they did not provide any rationale. 2. Delays & False Promises/ After I dropped my car off, they said it should be pretty quick, less than a week, it's just a small bumper fender... there was constant delays, days turned into weeks... (3-weeks actually) they promise to give me updates, promise to fix the car, but it never happens, and eventually they even stopped replying to my texts, and I needed to call in to get any answers. But only to hear delay after delay and excuses... They also mixed up my file with others so the progress never made sense, very disorganized... They seem to be short staffed on mechanics, which I get it, hiring at businesses can be tough, but they need to provide a realistic timeline on when the work can be done. This is a personal vehicle which I need decent timelines on to makes plans around. 3. Made the car very dirty But the real kick in the rear is that after weeks of delay, I went to check on my car in-person. And I found my car sitting outside, half taken apart, with the windows down and the interior was covered in a layer of dust... I was shocked. I told Breana that this is unexpected and she said they do a professional clean at the end... LIES! 4. Poor Customer Resolution They ended up delivering the car to me with that same layer of dust all throughout the car. in the front, back seats, trunk... everywhere. There was also a blue stain on my seats... I attached a photo of my window down, you can't see the dirt in the photo but it's not hard to imagine a car being dirty if left in a dirt parking lot with lots of construction around for days on end... When I brought this dirtiness issue up with them, they said there wasn't anything they could do... eventually they escalated this to me bringing the car back so they can detail it again... But how could I trust them with my car after weeks of delay and they initially messed up the first time, and in my opinion it was through poor management, and some negligence. I ended up paying a professional detailer $150 just to clean mess they made on the interior of the car. I wanted to avoid them that badly... ---- Now to be fair, they did fix the small dent in the fender of the car... (honestly not that impressed), but the whole process, the delays, the time I had to take to investigate the issue, makes this not worth it at all. I'm also worried if they even did everything correctly since they said they haven't worked on this issue on my car... a Tesla... in the bay area before... that seems silly and just shows how unskilled or mismanaged the business is. I just can't recommend an establishment that is so poorly managed. It's also not like I'm dropping off my clothes to get repaired... I need my car for daily use to get to my job, to go do chores for my family. I needed to extend my rental many times, and the uncertainty of knowing when I can return my rental , not knowing when I'd get my car back, was very frustrating. Along with the constant follow ups and seemingly gas-lighting type of behavior, and follow up I needed to do.
