Anyway, after cross referencing reviews for multiple shops, I decided on JP Auto Body, and I'm so glad I did! I worked with John, and he was amazing. He's friendly, proactively provided updates so I wasn't left wondering about the progress of repair, and took care of navigating insurance, from working with the adjuster to getting the estimate approved. I barely had to get involved. While I was waiting at the shop while they were doing a final test drive before handing over my car, I also had a chance to chat with the owner, Johnny, and a couple of the other employees there, and everyone's so nice! I was rear-ended at a red light, and even though at first the other person wanted to go around insurance, Mahar was quick to tell me that the price would most likely be above what anyone would want to pay out of pocket. He offered to speak to the other party himself to explain everything, which I greatly appreciated. He even assisted me with handling the report to the insurance company, letting me know about everything I should tell them, which was a great help with my first accident. When my availability didn't line up with when the repairs were complete, Mahar still offered to stay beyond the shop's closing time for me to pick up the car. And even when that didn't work, he was incredibly gracious enough to arrange for a different time. Upon picking up my car, I honestly couldn't even tell I was in an accident in the first place which was amazing. Jose was incredibly kind on the phone and said he could help, even though he was about to leave for the day. He told me I could swing by, and he would take care of it--and even offered to install it for free. When I arrived, I was greeted by his wife, Jacqueline, who was very friendly and welcoming.
