If there is a thing called "over the top customer service," this place would be very close to having it. On top of great work on my ride, the people often went beyond expectations. Ex. After dropping my car off to find out what was ailing it, I was ready to call a taxi to get back home. Instead the manager (Steve) offered to give me a lift. And it wasn't exactly around the corner, either. Plus, it was a messy, snowy day. Not the type of day you'd want to be driving if it wasn't absolutely necessary. Along the way, he took the time to point out other reputable auto shops in the area, just in case I wanted to shop around. Rude, expensive, and dishonest. I have brought my truck here a few times and will never again. The lady running the front desk talks down to people. I also got my truck back the last time with a different dipstick that was not even long enough to reach the oil. A employee also told me that he put flour on my belt to stop it from squeaking. The lady in the office accused me of lying. They need to realize that they are in the customer service business and people will not take how they treat people. AVOID THIS PLACE. Every single time I've gone here, I end up spending WAY more than anticipated. For example, I went in for a simple oil change. I asked if they could give me a cost estimate on how much it would be to fix my windows. After I get the call saying it'll be $600+ to fix, I said no and to just do the oil change. My total ended up being $127 because of the labor to check & see what was wrong with my windows. They should've mentioned it would cost that much when I first asked about the pricing. They rip everyone off, do NOT go here. read more

I've been coming to Auto Analyst for several years and two vehicles. I've always been completely satisfied with the level of customer service and the service done to my vehicle. This most recent time was no different. Derek is a pleasure to work with and explained everything to me clearly and took the time to answer every queation I had. While my car was in the shop and after I received a call with the technician's findings I also received an email with the name and photo of each tech who worked on my car, and photos from underneath my vehicle of the problem areas. To be able to see exactly what they're seeing helps sp much in understanding the repairs being done (I'm clearly nowhere near an expert). They did not try to push any unnecessary serives on me and even gave me some advice on how to get a future repair done in a more cost effective way. Now that I'm off warranty in my vehicle and have plans to make it last, I'm glad that I have a mechanic that I can trust. read more

Went to have a few things checked out. A good shop will give you an estimate for free. They wanted 50$ just to look at it, but they agreed to drop that charge if I had them do the repair. Fair enough. They charged a premium price for the part and repair, I probably could've got it done cheaper elsewhere. Upon checking out, when I mentioned a student discount like I was told by other customers, they said they already dropped the price of doing a diagnostic, as if that was going over the top for me already. I emailed them to add a few points to be checked and never got a reply. I told them to check my brakes, and when I picked up the car and asked about them, the staff awkwardly stared at each other and said, "sure they're greater than 30%." Their expression didn't instill confidence, and I have a feeling they didn't actually check my brakes. But they did fix my climate control system in the peak of winter. read more

The cost to have my vehicle repaired at Auto Analyst was about $200 less than the competition down the road. The staff was very thorough and friendly explaining the issues with the car and what it would cost repair it. Some shops seem annoyed that you even called. I was concerned about being without a car for the weekend, as I dropped it off on a Thursday afternoon, and they don't work on weekends. However, the work was completed by Friday afternoon. They offered to give me a ride to pick it up as well, which was nice. My only issue is that I was told my car was overdue for an oil change when I just got one about 3 weeks ago, and the window sticker clearly shows it's been less than 1,000 miles driven since the last oil change. Otherwise, they were very quick, friendly, thorough, and fair in price. read more

I first visited them in January about a noise my car was making. Turned out that some work done by another shop in November was faulty and Auto Analyst worked it out with them so I didn't have to pay anything for repairs. When the part broke again, they held by their warranty and replaced it for no charge. That time, they came out to start the service while I was waiting for a tow truck, completely in the middle of traffic on Drake around 8 in the morning! They've also done my brakes for a reasonable price. Very kind to provide a ride to/from work while they service your car (if it's a 1 day job). Highly recommend. read more

This is my second time sending a vehicle to these guys and i will always choose this shop for my repair needs. First vehicle was a 94 jeep and after they got done with it I never had another issue. Just sent my 96 jeep this time and once again they were great! Love their full diagnostic inspection philosophy, very trustworthy, customer friendly, thorough. Got my car out in a few hours and let me know the repairs coming up in the future. Decent pricing, always busy so book a time slot ahead but worth every penny. read more

Let me just begin by saying, if i could give them 0 stars, i would. Im a 20 year old that came out to kalamazoo for the weekend to see my buddy's from home (chicago) Sunday comes around and it was time for me to head back for work monday morning. That is when i realized something was wrong with my car. I then took my car to them at 8pm on monday morning. 6 hours later they finally called me to tell me "what was wrong" with my vehicle. They then told me my engine and turbo had blown and that i would need a new engine and turbo ($3500) Being a young student myself, i did not have that type of money at the moment. I then decided to rent a uhaul with a trailer to get it back to chicago. When i got back to chicago i brought it to an auto shop that is good friends of the family. All that was needed for my car was a simple pvc valve pipe, oil change, and new antifreeze. $400 later my car is running perfectly fine without heavy damage to my pocket.. I believe these guys are ripping off college kids that have exhausted their options. Bottom line DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP!! read more

I have had my vehicle taken here many times and I'm pleased every time. They always do a very thorough look at my vehicle and give me a full, detailed picture of the repairs needed along with suggestions I trust. While repairs are unfortunate and can be costly, I ways come out feeling better knowing my vehicle is in better shape since they use quality parts, and I won't have to worry about the issues that were repaired for some time-if ever. I got my coolant flushed and a oil change here, and a mile down the road my fuel sensor starts giving me erroneous readings and the check engine light is beeping. I took it back and explained the issue, hoping it was a wire that was not connected. They did a very thorough check into the issue and found it was simply a coincidence my fuel sensor was shot and I needed a new fuel pump. I appreciate how they went out of their way to diagnose the problem and did not charge me since they just completed work on it. They were honest when they said I did not need it replaced right away. I highly recommend them to any body, their staff is always friendly and will go out of their way to help you, just like the did for me. read more

I took my car to Auto Analyst because of all the good reviews elsewhere, but this wasn't my experience. I was told that the car transmission fluid needed to be replaced because it was dark, and others should be done soon. I had just checked all of these myself and they were fine including the brake fluid which was as clear as when it comes out of the bottle. To top it off, someone there caused an 8" scratch in the car and wouldn't take responsibility. I had looked the car body over just a few days before when I ordered touch-up for some stone chip repairs. It had literally been sitting in the garage after this until the appointment because I have my own car to drive; this was a gift for my hard working daughter. I told all this to the owner. I showed her the transmission fluid against a white cloth and asked if it needed to be replaced and she said it was pink and fine. When I told her that replacement was recommended at a cost of nearly $100, she said that she was fine with that because she had just purchased a car for her child and replaced all the fluids. If I owned a car service business this might be a good idea, but I don't have hundreds to throw away just "to be sure." During the whole discussion, she kept saying what an honest business she ran. I went to Auto Analyst and experienced multiple instances of poor communication. There were several instances in which they put me on hold for 10mins+, were several hours late on an estimate on my car, were several hours late on getting the minimal work (oil change and one break light replacement) on my car finished, and I had to call multiple times throughout the day to find out what was occurring. Additionally, they informed me there were several other issues with my car that would need to be addressed in addition to what I come in for. The repair costs for these were well above the value of my car so I took it to another shop for a second opinion. Not only were half the repairs Auto Analyst informed me of simply not true, they exaggerated the necessity of some repairs as well (telling me my brake pads were below 15% and urgently needed replaced when they were actually just below 50%). I will never be going to this auto shop again and would highly suggest anyone thinking about going here reconsider. read more

i am trying to be a new customer due to my repair shop moving . i know these people are very busy right now but i had a truck towed in there saturday night and they still havent gotten around to checking it out yet. i have heard really good things about this place, thats why i had it towed there. i hope they get to it soon. we are down to one vehicle trying to both get to work. i take it they do not have loaner vehicles and if they did i guess im shit outta luck. hope they get to it soon. may have to tow it somewhere else.. i hope not/ read more
