I have purchased two vehicles from Auto Boutique Alvin in less than 6 months. The first one I bought was a 2021 Ford Expedition for $42,000. Within three days of leaving the lot the check engine light came on and it was the catalytic converter. I call up and at first the sales person gives me the run around then I get ahold of the Service Manager. Who was great when it came to customer service, but it took us 4 times of going up there and them saying it is fixed, leaving and it coming back on within 24 hours in order to get it fixed. Fast forward 6 months later - check engine light comes on and guess what it is.... the catalytic converter. We had bought a second car from them 2 weeks ago (before the light came on again) I only did so because I thought the issue on my wife's car had been fixed the right way (it clearly wasn't considering it's been less than 6 months and its acting up again.) and this time it is a 2022 Ram 1500 Classic with 40k miles on it. Here we are two weeks later and the Truck is broken down in my driveaway. I called the SVC manager a week ago to let him know that both vehicles were messing up again and never heard back. How is it that two cars with less than 50k miles bought from them are both having such detrimental issues? I'm going to have to pay $800 to fix the truck + the towing fees in order to fix a car I bought TWO WEEKS AGO. Let alone the catalytic converter on the 2021 Expedition. How do you have these kinds of issues when you have bought 80k worth of vehicles from them in less than six months? I will be going to the BBB with this. I came here today to get my first car. I got a 2020 Kia Niro LX in very good condition. In total the process took about 7 hours, and we were paying cash. Beware that the maximum price you can pay with debit is $5,000, after that, there's a fee. Luckily we were able to make it to a nearby Capital one before they closed to get a cashier's check instead. Make sure to factor in the additional $2,000 on the seller price when making the decision. I will say, they did able to take off the tracker system from the sales price since I purchased a Tesla. I'm sure this was a sales tactic since I was almost out the door. Overall, I will not go back or recommend to others. The vehicle itself is great with no issues thus far, but you can take your money somewhere else and feel way better about the purchase. Took 3 weeks and major chaos for them to fix it while trying to charge me for it !! They have a 5 day guarantee 7 days in the ESC light comes on, the break recall that was 3 years overdue was brought to my attention 10 days in the shop and $656 my cost plus a rental car. Mind you they make you buy LoJack to the tune of approximately $1200 plus I bought a power train warranty from them ......laughs on me. 2 weeks later the check engine light comes on - the car is running but no gas is going through - have to have it towed to the dealership - 6 days in the shop but no cost to me except for the rental car...again laughs on me 2 days later the check engine light comes on again - take it back to the dealership - 5 days in the shop and another rental car cost. 5 days later, literally, the check engine light comes on again - another rental car cost and 4 days in the shop - the catalytic converter is replaced along with a few other things. 2 days later the left back turn signal as well as the right back break lights go out. I would literally pay someone to go to a different dealership. I bought a car here and its been a absolute piece of shit. Transmission, radiator, starter, door unlock system, has gone out in the past year oh yeah and my ENTIRE motor is failing currently. And they have nothing to say i swear the manager has me blocked. Mind you this car was almost 20 grand. We knew the car was in two fender benders but no major accidents. When we go the transmission repair we were told the frame was severely bent and was causing uneven tire wear and nissan literally told me this car should if been totaled. I went there interested in one car, and I ended up walking out with a totally different car. Everything was swift, in the purchase and I was happy. Where I would say things went a little sour for the "OK" rating was when it was time for me to obtain my official license plates. It was less than a week before my paper plates expired and I HAD to follow up on their status. Good thing I did, because they could not find record of my purchase of the vehicle, even though I was paying my monthly payment, and I HAD to provide details of the sale/VIN number. I HAD to call multiple times because they kept transferring me around to various people within the organization and then they would either hang up on me to scold me about how upset I was getting. Finally I spoke with a VERY VERY nice woman - Manager - and she helped me. She sent someone to my home with new paper plates. I did have to follow up two more times when my second set of paper plates was nearing expiration and they finally informed me my plates were in. When she got on the phone I gave her the specifics of what I was looking for and she gave me about a dozen cars, two of which stood out to me. I told her I would be coming in. This was Saturday. I went in today and really liked what I saw. Now I just need to discuss which with my partner and possibly take him back tomorrow to make my final decision. They work with a number of lenders and since my credit is about average they said they could work with me too. I really want the Altima or the Passat! I would recommend you go and scope your options. Called them immediately to make a deal and was told the vehicle is not ready for sale, but they took my information down and told me they'd call me when it was ready. Read them my phone number and had them read it back to me. I also emailed them though the web site with my email and phone number. They never took the car down for sale so they could bait & switch people that called in to buy a cheap car only to find out it's not available. Already seemed dishonest, but even more dishonest when I discovered through Carfax.com that they sold the vehicle. Called up to ask them why I wasn't called first, and their awful receptionist wrote my phone number down wrong even after repeating it correctly to me. It's making me give one star but truly 0 stars given!! BEWARE!!! This entire place is an absolute scam. They have you waiting hours and hours and try to feed you hot dogs and popcorn. Most of the cars were previously wrecked and have frame damage. They show you the car fax and the auto check but funny thing is the car fax and auto check they showed us, was not the same vehicle. It showed "minor" damage when our insurance ran the vin and it was in a severe wreck with frame damage. Not what they told us or showed us! Also they make it almost impossible to have outside financing. They want you to finance their 13% rates they also add on over $1,000 for a low jack and paint protection. It's a complete joke. We seen so many parents there buying for their teenagers first vehicle! Please don't!! The finance manager Logan was extremely pushy and questioned me 3 times on "why do you want to use your Credit Union and not the finances I've found". After expressing that my credit Union offered me a significantly low interest rate he then told me he would have one of the lenders he work with match my interest rate, and to come to the dealership first thing the following morning. After driving an hour and a half to the dealership for the second time, he presented me with the offers. All which had an interest rate significantly higher than the one I expressed to him the day prior. His reasoning was, " it'll only take off a few bucks a month if I were to get the interest rates matched". Granted, it was a 5.5% difference on the total loan. I had two different times visiting this lot, and got two different experiences. First time was to to see a car listed online that I told was there that turned out not to be. The second was in seeing a car listed online and getting to buy with ease. BIG CAVEAT, I did come already with an loan approval in hand, so my wait times and paperwork were dramatically shorter because of this. Pro's: 1.) Our salesperson, Mo Raya, was a great help in getting our vehicle quickly. We didn't muck about, just got the business of buying a car done. Thank you Mo for a positive experience. 2.) The follow on paperwork. Done quickly and efficiently. I wasn't yanked around or flexed into buying things I didn't want additional, I was made aware of my options and was thankful for when I said "no thank you" that it was left at that. 3.) Greeted as soon as I walked in by two receptionists and made sure I was met by a salesperson. Con's: 1.) the first time I came to Auto Boutique was directly after having called to make sure a car listed online was still available. I was told yes and to come on in and see it. After a twenty minute drive I was two minutes away from the lot and got a call saying the car wasn't actually there, they apologized profusely but it was definitely inconvenient to say the least. 2.) you can tell the lot is a newer one to the area even though they are an established business in other states. Not a ton of inventory just yet. I looked at two other vehicles, but they weren't what I was interested in or looking for. 3.) The LoJack option on all their vehicles are not an option, they are a must pay for item in the end. While it is a nice feature, I didn't need it and would have done well enough to not add a $1,300 price tag onto the vehicle just for that. In November of 2019 I bought a used 2016 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid. In February I got my first oil change and learned the oil filter was from July 2018 so it had not been changed in over a year and a half when sold to me. Two days ago I had to get the a/c repaired and learned the coolant levels were off the charts high and it had been overloaded and almost destroyed the whole system. When financing the car they tried very aggressively to load all this warranty shit I did not need and SPECIFICALLY asked to remove which resulted in the finance lady to become a raging bitch so much so that I said I was sleeping with a mechanic so she would shut up. I think she racked on some bs $500 ding repair still. The car was not cleaned properly at all and still had debris from the previous owner and stains on the headliner which I had to demand they correct. When the a/c was repaired I learned that a ton of bolts were unfastened and the radiator shutter completely closed. This dealer is selling junk cars bought at auction with false histories and brutally aggressive financing. They will rob you blind and screw you over at every turn. Do NOT use!!!! The vehicle in addition immediately required a new battery and the entire suspension is destroyed and needs replacing. After an actual GMC dealership diagnosed it, it was determined this would have been caught during an inspection of the vehicle and was not our fault with less than 5k miles on the vehicle. We were highly deceived after driving 3 hours for This specific vehicle. I will be contacting our military lawyers to pursue legal action against this dealership. This is a long story... buckle-in My roommate and I arrive to Auto Boutique from Austin (three hours away) with the cars I want to test drive already known. My salesman Aaryn is insistent (he said it at least three times) that no cars have been salvaged or have flood damage and that all cars on the lot have a CLEAN TITLE. After test driving the cars, I chose the one I was going to buy. He takes my vehicle buyer's check to the financial director to ensure that they take draft checks who then tells him to go ahead with the purchase. I wait another hour for a finance employee to talk to me. He then says they do not take draft checks. My roommate and I tell them we are confused because they literally looked at our check and said it worked. They then tell us that my bank will not let me get a salvaged car. Went to look at a vehicle. On test drive we noticed a piece of the door was missing. We found it in the trunk. When we asked the salesman he said hmmm I'll have them put that back on LOL. Also, tire sensor light was on but tires SEEMED ok. Salesman said that's considered a luxury and they don't repair that. Thennnnnn the delay on the windshield wipers switch didn't work.
